Apparently, this was Kickstarted? Had no idea. So in that case, this rule book is even BETTER! I almost never see rule books of this quality from KS projects. Probably has to do with it being from Sronghold games.
I love this game. Was lucky a couple of years ago to find a lone copy at a game convention and bought it. I then bought a foam minis tray the 64 square tray from feldherr and then build my insert from foamcore. Painted everything up. Love it.
@@TheDungeonDive yeah, it's killing me to give it away, ha! But I think she'll love the theme so it's perfect for her. I also picked her up a Runebound 3rd edition I will be incorporating the Overkill rules/idea into my rules re-write for HeroQuest 2021 though.
@@TheDungeonDive I really love it after my game session yesterday... now i can start to paint it 😍 Thank you for your supercool content and all the gems you bring to us🙌
Ooh, I've looked up a X Minus One podcast and will try listening to it. I'm trying to read more but I do so much driving I do spend a lot of time listening. You provide so much great information that's not all bland rules talk. Even your rules talk is not bland which also makes your videos great. :)
Really cool that you mention Old Time Radio shows, I think many forgot and most even never heard of them. Anyway, I've been on the fence with Space Cadets: Away Missions for quite some time now. What still confuses my gamer's brain a bit is the dungeon crawling movement along hexagonal spaces, but the game definitely has some cool ideas going for it (Overkill) which is why I kept it on my radar. PS: I also hate it when rulebooks get released in this format, while I also always appreciate it when rulebooks repeat things to help solidifying the rules on the reader's mind. Great video, I like the additional book recommendations segment at the end !
Going into the sale pile. :) Far too complicated for me, the rule book seems like a mess from what I've read, and the game doesn't fit on my table. :( Sorry.
I solo'd this game with 4 heroes a while back, but for some reason, despite the rules being fairly simple, there are a lot of modifiers and perks to remember, and I kept overlooking rules which spoiled my enjoyment of it and I packed it back away on the shelf. Might have to get it back out give it another go.

Thanks for the in-depth review. Glad you recommended it!
"Super Nice Sparkely Space Dice." Excellent.
It's got a good ring to it. Got lucky on the phrasing. ;)
Yes! I've had this on my table ready to start.
It’s super fun!
I remember this game being a breeze to learn, makes me want to bring it out again, watch Star Trek TOS and paint the alien minis.
Picked this up new for $10. Giving it to the daughter as a present.
Great price for a fantastic game!

Thanks! Radio dramas are awesome for driving.

Am on the fence about the Hunters AD reprint kickstarter. Any chance you can do a review video of it this week? :)

Bester is the best. Great shout out to classic SF!
He sure is. The Demolish Man, The Stars My Destination and Disappearing Act. Wow. All masterpieces.

I can't solo with that many heroes. Too many things to remember. My sweet spot is 2. :)
I have had my eye on this game for awhile! It looks great!
It’s a very good and fun game.
