Hey, I thought Becca was set to stunning, but I'm dead 😵
I love this game. The Romulans are so fun to play.
This is such a fantastic tutorial! Clear rules and excellent visuals.
Becca needs to be careful. It looks like the Borg have started assimilating her set.
What do you mean set - I think this was actually filmed on a Borg Cube!!!
Thanks
Ooh, I like the sickly Borg lighting/grading.
This looks good. I did wonder why use d6 dice if you're gonna discard half the results, but I suppose that leaves potential for mission cards & expansions to mix things up a bit there.
The dual sided boards are great! We house ruled that we can mix the sides to show the ship being assimilated for our game.
The big thing with the D6 dice is when you're opposing the other player's defense dice. When opposed, any winning roll succeeds not just on 4+. It makes for some dramatic moments and encourages strategic discarding to reroll your dice. Having it be D6 and allowing the cards and discards to create variation helps with keeping the game moving.
@@SanchoEnAmerica I think I'd probably need to see the game in action to understand what you just said heh.
@@nightcatarts Lol, fair. So, dice rolls succeed if they beat the opposing dice or if they are unopposed and are a 4 or greater. When you roll you line up your dice roll from highest to lowest. If you reroll then the order of your dice can change dramatically. It's a great system and we hope you get to try it soon!
@@SanchoEnAmerica Oh I see, now I get it. That's a cool approach to opposed rolls.
The die rolling appears to be basically like Risk except that unpaired dice have to be 4+ rather than automatically win.
🖖
Hey Becca, will The Calyx return? :)
You know, the set effort is always good
Great review!
But i have a question about the team composition.
In the rulebook, it is state that i can swap a specialist with a specialist and a commander with a commander so, for example, i can change Riker with Piacard and Shelby with Laforge.
But if I would like to change other characters, i mean, can i keep deanna and weasly for e.g. in team but without leaving other members or my team, or is a party of 4/5 Max people?
I read the rulebook many times but this rule is not specified…
Thank u!
You can swap specialists such as Shelby and Laforge. You can only swap Commanders where the away team specifically allows that. While there are no
swappable Commander’s in the game currently, these will become available in future expansions.
You cannot swap or add in other members of the team - the away team is fixed except for the specialist.
@@GaleForceNineGames Thanks for the answer, it’s now clear 😀
Good Job with the game, it’s fantastic, i hope there will be more expansion and a solo/coop mode too!! Meanwhile i pre order Kirk and Scotti expansions 🖖🏻
@@francescomoscatelli3457 No problem - glad you are enjoying it!

I see Becca and I click.
I gasped when I saw that book bc it looks to be too in-depth. Am just trying to do a nice thing for my husband’s birthday.
Resistance is futile!
Oh my goodness. Paint those minis...lol. Good presentation tho. 😁
