I was housebound for seven years. Then I started to meditate for twenty minutes every day and after two months I got up and walked to post box at bottom of avenue. Progress was slow but sure and within a year I was back working and now three years later I never think about it. I have been abroad several times without problem. I was able to give up medication slowly.

I haven’t been able to travel outside of my town for 16 years. It took a lot of courage and many attempts to make it down the road and adjust. It’s sheer terror and it’s devastating that most people can’t understand and just get frustrated. I hope she has been able to make progress

Terrible illness trust me my dad makes me feel like I'm mental he just doesn't understand at all it's not easy panic attacks are frightening experiences if you want to know sort of what it's like to have anxiety attack sit on chair in a room on your own then start breathing heavy you will begin to feel faint an your vision will feel off your heart will race and your breathing will quicken this is hypventilating do this for one min , then stop this similar to panic attack imagine having that day in and day out with no control

I am a recovered Agoraphobic which was the hardest thing I have done. However, I feel the worst phobia to overcome is emetophobia. You can’t really even think about exposure therapy.

I seeked a physciatrist for a med. And I stopped drinking any alcohal and to stop the hyperventaltion, I mediated and I started to continue going out into the public, I felt somewhat fearful but not to stop me from functioning outside.

so how did they help her? hypnosis? each person with this issue has it for different reasons...it is a difficult illness to treat, I think EFT can help but you do need the help of a practitioner as the person is too close to their illness. often sensitive people can suffer, but also the nervous system needs to be calmed on a long term basis, also magnesium is often deficient in people, and they should look at their diets as well --nutrition is as important as treating the emotional side of things.

Ha - another phobia bites the dust, very well done to you both, obviously for some people the saying ' seeing is believing' doesn't count, they seem to think that some kind of skullduggery is taking place off screen, but they have obviously never met you to witness your sincerity, and how amazing your skills are, keep the good work going :)

It’s not her prison, it’s her sanctuary.

The full meaning of prison is "a state of confinement or captivity". Sadly this lady felt confined as she desperately wanted to leave her home but felt like a captive. If she felt it was her sanctuary, she wouldn't have asked for our help to set her free.
