    They're making feed throats again, Numrich 45 bucks. Works perfect in my 76 M60 with the orginal bolt, just grind off 1 lug.

      Thank you for letting me know! Last check I done about 4 or 5 months ago they didn't have any.

      @@SmittysGunsmithin Happy to help my fellow frustrated Glenfield/Marlin owners, spread the word. Had a very enjoyable pew session with mine yesterday.

    The mag was short because of state regulations enacted in that guns build date.

    Open the bolt ,then put the action on.

      This is an older early model. It doesn't have bolt hold open feature, so even if you open the bolt to put the action on, unless you've got a hand to hold the bolt back, a hand to hold the action on, and a hand to screw in the pin and screws, it ain't doing any good. Easier just to push the action down. All you're doing is pressing the lifter spring down by the lifter. That's what is pushing the action up.

      It doesn’t have the newer bolt hold open lever but should be able to open bolt and push the charging handle inward to lock it open. I’m pretty sure that’s what you did accidentally when the bolt got “stuck” back. To release, just pull the bolt handle outward. At least that’s how it works on a model 60. The 75 action looks identical.

      By installing the action without the bolt open, you can actually damage the lifter/ejector spring or bend it out of alignment so it won’t eject properly.

    I have a 75c with a long magazine tube, do you know what the story is with these differences in 75c models?

    • @SmittysGunsmithin
      @SmittysGunsmithin  4 місяці тому

      From what I've gathered the 75 had a short magazine tube and the 75c had a long magazine tube with more capacity that came out to about an inch short of the barrel length. The 99m1 had the shortest magazine tube if I'm not mistaken.
