I got mine from Buds, there was no weld on the fsb, had the dust cover detent still on it, and the cleaning rod. other than handling marks and the dust cover having a little bit of pitting. it seemed like it was untouched for the most part. inside was clean, little to zero wear on any of the parts. trunion and rsb were pretty much scrubbed, could still see some of the markings on the trunion with a light. 1982 M70AB2. Mine definitely seems like a nice rifle for the money. gonna get a surplus handguard and call it good.
These were offered back in 2013-2014 with the black handguard i still have the original...imo waste of money they made them to fire blank rounds and it totally screwed the gun up. Better to buy a surplus m70ab2 yugo kit and barrel and just go from there, there is no telling what can go wrong with those
@@stanislavmauzy8384 that’s half the fun! In reality- only so much can go wrong. Both mine are fine and video of live fire. 🤷♂️ wanted a project. Didn’t expect an Arsenal
exactly how snug was it when it closed on the go gauge? aside from disassembling the bolt, I'd also suggest trying it with the disassembled bolt in the carrier when checking that lockup on the go gauge.
@@wolfhausindustries I don’t know if I mentioned it in the video- or in another one… but I mentioned i would strip the bolt like I did when checking the original one. It rotated easily with a stripped bolt- no different than my sam7r and 107fr. I tested the bolt this weekend after complete stripping and testing. There is light resistance” with the bolt assembled. None without, also borrowed a set of Manson gauges to double check my work while bolts were stripped.
@@non_tactical_talor8353 yeah thats my bad I made that comment before you actually mentioned taking the bolt apart in the video, I was really just wanting to suggest doing it with the stripped bolt in the carrier, bc I too also used to check it with just the bolt back when I did my first home builds, but once I got to building these for a living, our shop always does it with the bolt and carrier so I thought I'd just pass on the tip in case you'd maybe never done it like that before.
@@non_tactical_talor8353 No it is not, I'm currently the main builder at Two Rivers, my YT handle is associated with my own LLC, as I've got a garage full of my own machine tools and was at one time just doing my own personal home builds. Was focusing more on CNC manufacturing before I got asked to come build professionally a few years ago. Haven't really had the time to do anything with the YT channel since then, mostly just been doing some under the table repro work for specific parts with my own thing, although the plan is to get my own FFL and part ways with my day job at the end of the year and continue doing builds professionally on my own. I use the same handle on IG as YT, and since my day job has no social media footprint I occasionally post some stuff I've built for them on there, but thats still more focused on the stuff I actually do at my home shop. I've got a ton of photos of cool builds i've done there that i still need to post however. A work in progress you might say, but its coming.
Firearm shopper is awesome. Got a good Yugo bolt from them that was brand new and fits nice. Very interesting vid 👍
@@jspec-vz3mc thank you man!! Glad you liked it
