Hi peeps, unfortunately we are the couple that got ripped off,the company that did this are on facebook and go under the name of encompassed campers and based in Newport south Wales. We are just glad they never did the full conversion for us. Stuart and his staff are the best, brilliant work.
Mike and Deb.
Thanks guys, it’s a pleasure to put it right for you both 🚐🫡
Top work fellas! cant believe the thickness of those strips 😂
What a difference in workmanship and quality as expected from you guys, well done :-) starting to look really good. Enjoy Turkey 🙂
Thanks guys 🫡
Great video. Luv catching up and seeing what you guys are upto. Love the work you do. Planning to get my arse over to see you soon 😊
Thanks mate, your always welcome 🫖
Some more great work Stu. Great to see your attention to detail and pride in your work 👏👏👍🏴
Thanks mate 🫡🚐
Yet another amazing video, enjoy your holiday
Thanks guys 👊🏻🚐
The finished article is amazing
Thanks mate 🫡
Need to do something with them screw heads on the parcel shelf (on the new Zealand van)
Agree mate we’ve tried a few things and not been happy with any of them, we are currently using screw cups as these looked the best but know it can be better 👍🏻🚐
Amazing work brilliant video pal 😊
Thanks John 🫡
Hope you have a lovely holiday we go to turkey all the time and love it xx
Thank you
what a beautiful job you make of them
Thanks mate 👊🏻🚐
Great stuff big man as usual 👌
Cheers bud 👊🏻🚐
We had a great time in Turkey about a month ago. Stayed in the hotel next to Land of Legends in Antalya. Cracking holiday. Hope you have a great family holiday.
Thanks you we had a great cheeky week away but back to the grind now 👊🏻
I'm in Turkey now. Extremely warm.Enjoy you're week away.
We had a great time but wasn’t long enough lol 👊🏻🚐
Absolutely mint 👌👌👌
Cheers Mack 👊🏻
Great idea to bring it back to nz !
I love the idea one of vans will eventually be the other side of the world 🌏
Evening Stu,
Hope all is well. Have you ever seen East Coast Camper beds for the relays / boxers / Ducatos ?
Very well built bed seats, purchased and collected recently. Highly recommend.
Haven’t seen them but will take a look 👍🏻🚐
Great that you stripped out the terrible work that was already done on that van. New Zealand van looks fab. Enjoy your holidays
Was a shame as it cost my customer a lot of money 🚐
Fab video 👍
Thanks flaps 👊🏻
Good work Stuart & team!
What size crafter is it?
Been waiting to see you guys do a crafter.
Am passing your place late Aug, which I think falls in the school holiday. 😞 bet you will be away.
We are on a trip to wales.
Was hoping to meet for some advice, if you’re happy for us to show up.
Keep up the great work!!
Thanks mate, it’s a lwb. Your always welcome mate just check in before hand I make sure I’m not on annual leave 👍🏻
Great work Stu. Do you have a link to those splashback panels? Trying to find something me and the wife can agree on lol 😀
Reco surfaces online mate
Did you put screw caps on the screws on bulkhead in nz van 👍🏴🏴
We used screws and cups 👍🏻
Can’t get away with anything Stu 🤣👍
Great work Stu!
Do you struggle with the 3500kg weight limit in a LWB crafter when you’re fully converting them with a shower added?
Due to the way we construct them and the materials used we getting very good payloads on our vans, our first one had a 860kg payload unloaded 👊🏻🚐
Shocking
Not the best mate but we’ve made it good 👊🏻🚐
nice that youre ripping it all out to do it properly .can i ask what thickness is the ply strips on the steel walls of the van please? 12mm/15mm ??
We use 12mm it’s a good balance between flexing to the vans curves and getting a strong enough fixing 👊🏻🚐
@@VanologyConversions thanks mate, much appreciated
Did you bbox in the rooflights in the end?
We couldn’t do it, the top was just as ugly as the bottom and the whole unit would need replacing. We leak tested it and it works and customer advised
Tidy job. Some shocking work out there unfortunately. How many man hours for the fit out do you reckon?
I have no idea lol takes us between 4 and 6 weeks per build 🚐
Wow well done , what an awful job the previous installer did .
Can I ask you where you get those led strip lights from thank you cheers 👍😊
Thanks mate we get them from CEF 👍🏻👊🏻
@@VanologyConversions thank you very much for that brilliant 👍
Hey Stu! Do you cutout the worktops yourself? I’m wanting a 20mm oak one with an under mount sink and use the cut out for it as a chopping board/sink cover.. I’m scared as hell to attempt it!ha
I’m in Worcestershire, would it be something you could do in a day if I came over? I can send you the design and cutouts etc via email just made me think when you showed off that nice one 😊
Cheers Ant
Hi mate you shouldn’t do this with oak worktop as it’s end grain, like you we see many do it with oak but really should only be done with composite worktop
@@VanologyConversionsahh that’s a shame but now you’ve said it does make sense! My sink is the ikea kilsviken so can be mounted inset or under…would you say it’s a definite no to do then or ok if I really look after it / oil every few weeks
Thats crazy someones personal workmanship thinks that is acceptable to send a van out like that.
Also, do you sell templates for the panels like the bulkhead etc?
It’s crazy mate, we don’t sell them but anyone is welcome to visit and copy them 👍🏻
What's the music track use on this video?
It’s on the trail by tiger blood jewel 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions thank you
What a mess with the ceiling slats If you are going to do a job do it right if not get someone like you to do it good video 👍👍
Thanks mate 👊🏻🚐
Honestly Stu....it's hard to believe that someone actually paid for that roof on the crafter. That said I have been around long enough to know that there are enough cowboys in this game to make that not too hard to believe. That is absolutely shocking though... headliner is probably ruined. you may get away with steam but I doubt it. I think I paid £300 for one when we needed a replacement.
Too many people wanting to make a quick buck and not doing it properly, I ain’t saying I’m perfect I’ve made mistakes but genuine ones and rectified it but some of things I see I just don’t understand 🚐
@@VanologyConversions that headliner is just beyond comprehension 🤣🤣🤣. That takes a next level cowboy to do that sort of work and think they can charge for it🤬
Agree mate it was just lazy work
These people should be shamed on line, so they dont screw people over again
Wasn’t great work to be fair, there was two comapnies one did the ceiling the other the max fan
£1200 the guy really got mugged off , they saw him coming, really should name and shame the company that did that god awful job
Yes, over priced for bad quality work imo
I agree… save anyone else getting ripped off…. Name them!
I think whoever did that ceiling abortion should be named and shamed. Far too many bodge artists ripping people off.
True that 🙌🏻
👍🚐😎
🫡🚐👊🏻
I specialise in electrics but I know how to do a whole van. That’s a joke, did they even run cable?
Looks like a piss poor insulation job too.
It wasn’t great not that I think we are the best out there but we sure give a crap about what we do 👊🏻
Theres absolutely no excuse for shoddy workmanship like that. I have no van building experience and everything I've done on my van has been done to a far better standard than that, and I'm not a pro!
Exactly mate, no pride in it whatsoever but all fixed now 👊🏻
1200 quid for putting 2 x 1 battons on the roof😮😮😮, id name and shame personally so others might not be fleeced.
Was very over priced especially for what was done but all is good now
Unbelievable
We see all sorts here
Name and shame we all need to be protected from these so-called experts mate.
I don’t know who did it only that they were based around newport
Bloody hell, not good
It really wasn’t but we got it sorted 👊🏻🫡
Seats to low
Not if they're for children. And it's 'too' not to. 😏
@@bren106 only for children and if adults want to eat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As the van is destined for New Zealand, did you need to build to a Kiwi code?
Wouldn’t know mate, we built it to customer spec
It can be warranted and changed here in nz
