BTW. He loves dire straits , he is a big fan of mark knopfler. He talked about it in a seminar and was demonstrating mark's influence on his playing. That's why he is making a joke out of it. He is actually soft spoken.
Russ Parrish is in all seriousness an amazing guitarist...for those that don't know.

The silliness and assholeness is part of their act. They never break character. It's all an act that has proved very lucrative. I wish they would put out a serious album as they are all very skilled musicians. They never break character but I'v seen them in photos without the get up. All short haired very different looking.

Hilarious Interview. And that's the funny truth about the tone knob. But although I have never played a guitar with the tone knob not on full. Still everytime I am considering buying a new guitar and it doesn't come with a tone knob I'm like "hmmm but I wonder if I might need it" =)
