I’m vegan. I’m not tired. In fact I’m less tired now I’m vegan. I don’t need extra vitamins either. The calcium dip is a lie as well. And going vegan has NO CONS, ONLY PROS
You know that plants have the capacity to feel pain and are often picked and eaten while still alive I am a vegetable rights activist GO MEAT besides humans where meant to be omnivores our canine teeth were meant to rip and chew meat while we can still eat plants if you feel bad about eating animals it's fine but don't stop eat meat all together that's just wierd
ThatMan Rey actually our canines were meant to crush seeds, and people evolved from animals that only ate plants with the occasional insect, and plants do not have a nervous system therefore they cannot feel pain. Oh and since u eat meat, have fun with heart disease, cancer, E.Coli, Salmonella, Pork Tape Worms, etc, etc. do your research mate
MOSQUITO PRODUCTIONS You need to check your facts!!! People who «get their calcium» from dairy are not really «getting» anything. The problem is, that when we drink milk, our bodies become too acidic, which in turn kicks of something called metabolic acidosis. This draws calcium from our bodies and promotes osteoporosis, thus leaving our bodies with less calcium than we originally had before ingesting the milk. But yes, kale, broccoli, spinach etc. Are all good for boosting our calcium levels as opposed to dairy which just depletes them.
ThatMan Rey Plants are not sentient. They do not have a central nervous system and thus do not feel anything. Our canines are not useful for anything but to more effectively eat fibrous plants. We are not «made» or «supposed» to eat meat, as we do not have the proper anatomy to digest it. Our intestines is many times longer than that of an omivore and our stomach acid is far to weak to properly digest meat. Apart from that, it is not ethically right to eat animal protein. Some claim that some animals are raised well and killed «humanely». This is utter bs... Taking a life, be it with our without pain is and never will be humane. We do not have the right to govern the lives of anyone other than our own. I understand why you see things the way you do, because I used to be just like you. Just give it some time. You’ll get it eventually.
Are you still vegan? It's common to feel great at first for multiple reasons. It's usually years in when some people start seeing health issues associated with nutrient deficiencies
Aristhetic maybe because you ate a lot of vitamin b12 and iron? The video says that if you don't get enough of vitamin b12 or iron you will feel tired so I'm guessing you got enough of it.
Almost everyone seems to go really well for a year before they suffer. In your second week you were going really well. I am wondering how it is like now after a year?

@OnTheSquare OnTheLevel It certainly seems to operate in the same way as traditional religions - almost all of which limit human diet in arbitrary ways. It even has its own version of original sin (the diet practices by almost all people from time immemorial) And it has missionaries.
I’m 13, and been vegan for a year. I’ve never felt so good! It’s really true, foods begin to start tasting better such as vegetables and fresh fruits (which i never really favored). I love being vegan!
Congrats on starting veganism so young, Sofia! Now it's a yaer later, how's it going for you? I love being vegan. One of the top 3 best decisions I ever made!
As a vegan, i can confirm it was a little rough at first, but over time i actaully found it helped a lot, i had a B12 and iron deficieny before i went vegan, and now im super healthy! so thats great :)
@@blahizake you don’t need supplements. B12 can be found in fortified plant milks. And iron is in just about every dark leafy green out there. If you truly follow a balanced diet you’ll get all the nutrients you need. It just takes time to learn the nutrients of all the foods you’re eating to make sure you’re getting what you need
@@Slachelle1123 Complete garbage. It’s well established that anything “fortified” pales in comparison to its natural source, if not being outright detrimental to overall health. This is especially true in synthetically created versions of these naturally occurring nutrients. Heme iron is far more readily available to us than anything found in a plant. Any health practitioner who’s worth anything recommends animal sources of iron over plant sources of iron. Because it more available to us and doesn’t destroy our digestion like a lot of iron containing plants might for some. Let’s face it: you’re a carnivorous animal trying to eat an unnatural diet because animals are cute or you bought some agenda.
@@blahizake only reason animal protein has b12 is because it’s fortified into their food too. B12 comes from dirt, unless you’re eating dirt your b12 is not a natural source, or you can supplement it if you want it more natural. Clearly someone doesn’t know much about nutrition
Same here good for you! Make sure to eat healthy though because I know many people who go vegan but eat a lot of processed junk. Learn to eat/cook clean, lean , high protein meals :) Good luck!

So never be an asshole and just understand that people love to talk trash but once they see you better yourself it’s impossible to . So workout and stay lean!
Im 18 and after watching a documentary on Netflix it just broke me apart. I've always wanted to be vegan since I was 14 and now I'm going to make the change as an adult because my parents can't stop me now
I've been vegan nine years from vegetarian. My blood pressure came down from too high, I became fully fertile for the first time in my life and I don't have gout or other issues anymore. Plus the factor that I'm not adding gross amounts of harm to other beings is amazing. No regrets whatsoever.
@@Chris-kr7gg Cows are abused a lot for milk and sent to slaughter houses when they no longer can get pregnant or milk. Their babies are taken away from them at a young age.
@cool n fruity Amelioration of gout isn't much of a surprise. It was Anthony Robbins description of the average piece of meat containing 14 grains (~0.9 grams) of uric acid and your kidneys only being able to process 8 grains (~0.5 grams) per day, that sold me on Veganism. Uric acid, as I'm sure you'll be aware, is the cause of gout. The only regret is I didn't take the leap sooner.

3 months vegan here and I absolutely love it . I was tired the first couple of weeks, but I honestly feel amazing now with lots of energy, focus and wellness. The vegan lifestyle is life changing.
The vegan label brings a lot of baggage. I’m not sure what to call myself, except plant based. I don’t eat meat, cheese, eggs, wheat, or even nuts/seeds. Vegan is an absolutist mentality, which can lead to unhealthy mental states of mind.
I feel the same. I am so happy with the changes that have happened to me. Well done ignoring the clowns in the comments. Its the only downside of veganism. They just jealous they haven't got our mindset.
OH MY GOD... I went from an Iron deficient little meat eater with a bloodpressure so low I would faint at times, but going vegan helped and got rid of those problems completely, and no I don't take Iron supplements! Btw why would someone who doesn't drink cows milk be calcium deficient when cows milk isn't even designed for us to drink?! I mean it's so obvious when you think about it. And you clearly didn't have good facts since we all know milk is too acidic for our bodies so the bones have to release calcium to neutralize it... There's a reason the biggest cow milk-drinking countries have the highest amount of osteoporosis (brittle bones)... I mean do your research, come on...
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17299475 CONCLUSIONS: In this population, fracture risk was similar for meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians. The higher fracture risk in the vegans appeared to be a consequence of their considerably lower mean calcium intake. An adequate calcium intake is essential for bone health, irrespective of dietary preferences
bmcnutr.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s40795-016-0064-8 Conclusions Phytate intake was found to inhibit the bioavailability of iron and calcium from the diets of pregnant women. Moreover, phytate was one of the strongest inhibitory predictors of calcium, iron and zinc bioavailability. ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/3/633S.long CONCLUSION The iron and zinc from vegetarian diets are generally less bioavailable than from nonvegetarian diets because of reduced meat intake as well as the tendency to consume more phytic acid and other plant-based inhibitors of iron and zinc absorption. However, in Western countries with varied and abundant food supplies, it is not clear that this reduced bioavailability has any functional consequences. Although vegetarians tend to have lower iron stores than omnivores, they appear to have no greater incidence of iron deficiency anemia. With current methods, it is not possible to effectively evaluate the influence of vegetarian diets on zinc nutrition because there are no reliable and sensitive criteria to identify marginal zinc nutriture in humans. The effectiveness of trace element supplementation of vegetarian diets has not been demonstrated, and any recommendations for supplementation should consider potential adverse effects, including possible competitive interactions between minerals. Research to further define the functional consequences of low iron stores without anemia and to sensitively detect marginal zinc status is needed to detect and prevent any possible problems associated with lower iron and zinc absorption from vegetarian diets.
26 years vegan. My health and energy both increased, and I have never looked back. My wife also went vegan. She is a mirror image twin. Only thing is that 26 years later they don't look alike anymore. My wife easily looks 15 years younger, and does not suffer from the diseases associated with meat eating. Her sister on the other hand is border line diabetic, hypertension, suffers from arthritis, sinus problems and over weight. The difference diet can make is very dramatic.
Also, this video is just misinfo -- dairy is highly acidic and leechers calcium from bones, and that's why dairy/meat/eggs consumers are the ones that get osteoporosis.
Herbs and esp dried herbs / dried parsley and spices like cinnamon and cocoa are the best source of calcium and iron and zinc and other minerals and vitamins -- nuts and seeds and rice/grain and lentils/beans/peas etc all contain a lot of minerals and vitamins.
A study proved plants can feel pain, you are a monster! Eating jimmy boy's family while you drenched them in dressing! Go to bloody hell you plant killer!
Tomorrow makes me 30 days vegan, I'm currently obese and was addicted to food, I did this to get in better shape for my kids and my wife and honestly I've never felt better in my life, and I've developed a healthy relationship with food. It was hard at first because I was also an alcoholic, (30 days sober tomorrow also), i kept constant headaches and stomach issues because I feel I was withdrawing from alcohol as well as my body adjusting to this new diet, but after the first week I was ok and felt great and my overall health physically and mentally has definitely improved. This lifestyle saved me. I'm glad I chose to take this journey.

I went vegetarian a while back for a couple months (my goal was to go vegan) and noticed that I felt a lot better. I didn't feel tired throughout the day, I had more energy than I did when I ate meat. My skin improved, I didn't get pimples. My headaches decreased. Omg when I ate, I never felt sluggish when I was done. When I ate meat, I would most of the time feel sick, and even felt like I had to throw up. Cutting meat out was one of the best things that happened to me. Unfortunately I did start back eating meat, but the good news is that I'm trying to go vegan this time.
@@JessiQT17 a lot of people say that. I said that before I went vegan. All the while, most of them are raised in extremely cramped or stressful environments. There are plenty of other tasty foods and alternatives. Hello JD, can you help me? What do you mean by your sinusitis has improved? Cuz i had inflamation sinusitis, nasal congestion..are become vegan will help me?
@Ram-Jah I think it's all to do with cutting out everything that produces high levels of mucus , particularly dairy of course. As you'll know, it's the mucus that irritates the sinuses and blocks the air cavities in the sinuses, making it harder to breathe and produces phlegm etc ! Cutting out the causes thus helps improve sinuses health ! I'd also highly recommend the use of Hepa Air Purifier, it will make a difference and most noticeably give you a better night's sleep
This is usually due to cutting out red meats and dairy products. Dairy, processed meat/red meat, and gluten can worsen stomach diseases. Low FODMAP diet is a good starter
I've been vegan for 1 year now and I have felt fine! I do take a multivitamin but I did this anyway pre vegan. I lost a total of 10kg and I didn't even think I had that much fat to lose. I've been dealing with chronic fatigue for over a decade now; I was told I needed "more exercise" even though I walked about a mile going to work and back home, and my job before was in retail so I spent all day walking and being active in the store, even coming home some days with sore legs and feet. I would take caffeine supplements, red bull, coffee etc., and I ate moderately healthy (I actually love vegetables) but nothing worked... Except going vegan. I'm a new vegan and within the first few days of eating vegan-only foods, I felt so much lighter on my feet and no longer feel drowsy after meals. Again, this happened within DAYS of going plant-based. There was never a period in time where I felt fatigued after cutting out animal products (at least, no more than usual, and again, I almost immediately felt better).
During my meat eating days, I often had stomach problems and got sick all the time.. I stopped eating meat about 25 years ago, then I became a vegetarian and now a vegan. So far, I have no health problems now or any vitamin deficiencies... I'm 55 and most people think I am in my late 30's, so maybe it has to do with ny diet.
Stomach issues eating meat? I wonder which oil you used cooking it. Was the meat organic or was it pumped with antibiotics and hormones? From my personal experience (I’ve been vegan for over three years). 1. I did not feel tired the first few weeks of being vegan, in fact, quite the opposite. I felt full of energy and life. 2. I’ve never been deficient in b12 and the only time I was ever deficient in iron was when I was a meat eater. My iron levels are through the roof as a vegan. 3. Why do non-vegans seem to think that vegans just sit around and eat handfuls of nuts all day? Why do they think that nuts are the vegans elixir of health? Nuts are great but eating too many can be bad for your health. First off they are very calorie dense and most of those calories are coming from fat. Second, most are very high in saturated fat. Just my anecdotal experience. :)
Are still vegan? Iron is stored in the body as ferritin (in the liver, spleen, muscle tissue, and bone marrow) Iron levels are high in vegan blood because antinutrients in the diet prevent it from being properly absorbed. If you have high iron in blood you may have very low bone and muscle iron. Phytates (phytic acid) in whole grains, seeds, legumes, some nuts-can decrease the absorption of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium.
I went vegan and have seen lots of benefits. More alert, stomach issue cleared up, acne disappeared. Better calmer mood. I've been vegan several months. I thought all the good things had happened. But yesterday I walked down a set of stairs in high heels, without pain and walking normally. I didn't realise at first until I was half way down them. Then i told to my friend who was with me, that I haven't been able to do that for around 7 years due to my painful knees.
I disagree. Honestly humans aren’t made to eat meat. Look at your teeth. And intestines. Like you can’t look at intestines.. but. Our teeth look like herbivore teeth. And our intestines are LONG. For meat to be digested properly. It must go through fast. So our long ones arnt good for that. well your comment was made a year ago so I don’t really bother writing this.
It would be a diet if you just ate vegan food and wore leather, not giving a shit, which is a false attitude some "vegans" have, to them it's just a diet (a worthless diet!), I think this is false and you're right!

I was vegan for 1 year and vegetarian for 3 years and I can speak from experience it's terrible for you. You end up eating substantially more carbohydrates and processed foods. I ended up gaining weight (never gained weight before in my life) and after 2 years my hair began to thin out. Not only did I feel weaker and more emotional, I constantly felt this mental fog over my mind. Alhamdulillah, after I realized the negatives and went back to eating meat and restricted carbs and sugars, my life and health has improved significantly. My hair became thick again, I have so much more energy and strength, I don't feel like an emotional wreck, I'm motivated and inspired and looking back on it I'm glad I tried it for myself to know what works best for me.
I havent even watched the video but when I was vegan from age 13-16 I was extremely underweight at 83lbs but after I became vegan I ended up gaining 10-15lbs (all muscle), but literally after a year of not being vegan I lost all the weight and I always feel tired. I’ve been a vegan for over 2 years now and I have absolutely no deficiencies! I run long distance, half marathons and full marathons, and my entirely vegan diet supports me through it all. As long as you eat a balanced diet with lots of whole foods, veganism will not hold you back from living your life AT ALL.
Actually it does. You do long distance running forms which require much less muscle and more cardiovascular endurance. Lifting weights or running track is far different and requires a vastly different diet.
I am a vegan in between meals. Vegetable means nothing without lambchops, chicken wings, veal, sashimi, roast ducks, pork ribs, and medium rare burger patties.
In my experience food tastes better and I had a spike in energy... for me going vegan is a slice in the overall life pie of making better decisions. I want to stop eating white foods rice pasta bread now. I also want to get a water filtration to do reverse osmosis and get the fluoride out of the water. He got out of that bed, loved his new tasty well spiced food; all of the pharmacy by his bedside gone, cholesterol gone, High BP dropped 117/90... organs healed, he is 91 and very strong. The only "symptoms" I got after going vegan, was farting a lot in the beginning, because my body FINALLY got the fiber it needed and deserved, lol. I always had gut problems while consuming meat and dairly, but now I'm fine af and got loads of energy 💪🏽🌱
Some major issues with this video: - Those cases in which Iron, Zinc or B12 run low are presented in a way that suggests that this happens to most or at least many new vegans. It doesn't. It happens to some (not even all) of the ill-prepared vegans. Most are just fine. - Bone density is actually weaker in those people which consume a lot of milk. This was found in study after study. If you go by some very basic and simple rules you will be just fine: - Eat diverse within the plant realm. - Supplement B12. - Get checkups from time to time. The more advanced version is to track your food intake for some time, and then you go and optimize your food intake according to your findings.
Age 72 I was having trouble eating meat and eggs never did agree with me so it was simple for me to go vegan. You still have to eat and drink less to lose weight. The consumption of dairy can actually have the opposite effect on bone health and accelerate bone degradation, especially in the elderly, since vitamin and mineral deficiencies are most common in that age group.

I'm vegetarian but trying to go vegan. My mother doesn't support me going vegan (I'm thirteen and live with my family). She says I should still drink cow's milk cause it's healthy and has calcium. I don't want to be disrespectful to my mother by going into discussion with her, so I asked her and my father if they could watch "earthlings". I'm pretty sure they didn't watch it. I also don't have any vegan or vegetarian friends. No one I know in real life is vegan. My grandmother doesn't take seriously not eating MEAT. She asked me 'if we don't eat meat, then what should we eat?'. And I replied 'plants'. She then made a "tjoeri"( a sound you make with your mouth that used to be an insult in the past). But anyway, I tried going vegan today and I already failed. That melted cheese I ate looked delicious so I ate it. While I was eating it I thought to myself 'should I really be eating this'. I then stopped. What I'm worried about is will I be getting enough nutrition. I talked about it with someone close to me and they advised a dietitian. I didn't say anything back. I want to go to a vegan dietitian, but I don't know if any exist in my country. This comment is getting way to long now.
elizah halfh... Ask your parents to watch "What the Health" or "Earthlings" with you so you know they watched it but even if they do they may still resist... You can also tell them that things like almond milks can have twice the calcium of cows milk and vitamin D as well... I'm a huge fan of the "Almond Breeze" brand chocolate milk and they have vanilla and plain as well... You can get all the nutrients you need on a Vegan diet if you eat properly plus you can get a Vegan Multi Vitamin or b-12 supplement (recommended by most Vegans if you eat no b-12 fortified foods) for piece of mind if you choose... Just study our ways a bit and learn... It's pretty easy to learn to eat a delicious vegan diet that gives you the nutrients you need but you do want to learn to make sure you get what you need... After all potato chips, French fries, vegan chocolate, and lemonade could be a Vegan diet but if that's all you ate it still wouldn't be a good Vegan diet... If you want to learn more in depth there are Vegan dieticians on youtube and Vegan doctors... NutritionFacts.org is a good website and also has UA-cam videos on UA-cam and is run by a doctor and his team of researchers for you to learn more in depth... I didn´t lose a single pound since going vegan (being a healthy weight from the start- so its good to know you're not going to lose any muscle if you eat enough) and never felt tired either. Also, my sense of taste has changed- I crave less salty foods and less candy. My skin has also become clearer. I know it's different from person to person- also because there is no such thing as the "one" vegan diet. You can still eat crap and feel sluggish, or you can eat only veggies and have severe deficiencies. But there is no argument in saying that "going vegan is bad for me". It might be hard for you. You might not like the idea of change. But you cannot say that going vegan can't work for you.
I completed a 14 day water fast before going "vegan" and eating one meal a day now. Within 3 weeks my waist size went from 38 to 33 and I feel like a new man.
This video is bizarre! 😂 I felt way more energetic when I went vegan. I have the blood sugar levels documented to prove it too. I was about to be put on insulin, but only 48 hours into going vegan my fasting and post prandial levels went down to perfect levels with no more big spikes and have stayed there since! The secrets are going whole food, low fat, plant based, getting a wide variety of foods (I follow Dr. Gregor's Daily Dozen check list), and a high quality B12 supplement taken every day.
I've been vegan for 5 years and recently with my help most of my family members are switching to it as well. Both my mom and dad who previously struggled with cholesterol, high blood pressure and an excess body weight have been seeing positive changes in their health due to this diet. It can be truly life changing, but please do proper research and talk with your doctor before making huge changes in your diet.
I tried vegan for 2 years. It had it’s strengths but more weaknesses…. Now that I’m more educated on the importance of not only protein, but the BCAA known as Leucine, I know why I had problems as a vegan. It simply doesn’t provide the necessary amino acid profile for healthy muscles, unless you supplement heavily.
I'm beginning to see the benefits of both vegan and carnivore diet. I think one of the main things people experience is detoxing from a standard or horrible diet. When people go full vegan or carnivore, I'd assume they do extensive research and that helps improve their health by a mile. Probably depends on lifestyle and health conditions but I've found both is beneficial.
Only a lot of people probably go vegan for ethical and environmental reasons rather than health reasons. I imagine a Mediterranean diet or diets popular in Asian countries w lots of veggies and rice and healthy fats are just as good for someone nutritionally but I've watched one too many docs to think eating meat or dairy is healthy morally or environmentally. Same reason I've been put off getting pets from breeders and using plastic bags from the grocery store when I have my backpack as an easy substitute. When I want to be fancy I'll have the impossible burger or beyond sausage but I'm perfectly satisfied w my rice and peanut butter and trader Joe's spring rolls and pasta and spinach and hummus... Saying this as a wisconsinite extremely in love w cheese and never met a pizza I didn't think was worth eating. I make my own vegan versions now.

I’ve been vegetarian/almost vegan lol for almost 5 years. I’m 18, female, 5’6, 115lbs. so, if you’re like me(on the smaller or thinner side) definitely think about this before you start this diet because my entire vegetarian journey I have struggled to get the nutrients I need including b12, iron, zinc, biotin, etc. I’ve always had trouble gaining weight but it’s even harder on this kind of diet. I’ve struggled with hair loss, breakage, and dryness my skin has also gotten much dryer, my nails are weaker and bend and break easily. Tiredness has also been a major symptom for me which is really difficult, I sometimes sleep for 12+ hours and will still feel tired. I have noticed that it’s much harder for me to taste and smell differences in foods and other things, lately I’ve mostly been smelling and tasting sweet and sour sauce and pesto. my bones are much much weaker but this is because of a few things, I am lactose intolerant I was as a toddler and my mom got me used to having dairy and I lost the allergy so as a child a drank lots of milk and then shortly before I became vegetarian I started to have the allergy again. and I’m vitamin deficient so that doesn’t help the strength of my bones. the worst thing for me is definitely that it has so severely affected my hair, skin, and nails because I was already vitamin deficient before becoming vegetarian so those just got worse but I could deal with that easily with supplements, but it’s much harder to try and make my hair and skin healthy again. I hope this helps somebody!
I forgot to add this: people who have periods definitely need to look into this, I have sometimes had irregular periods but not often so there is a chance with being underweight or being vitamin deficient!
to each his own but imo you should stop this nonsense before you damage yourself beyond repair. i got frightened after reading your comment... fresh fish, (organ) meat, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables and some potatoes, buckwheat is all you need

Going vegan is the best choice I ever made. I didn't feel any different physically after the change but a lot of people told me they felt much better. I don't lack any nutrients or anything. But I would go vegan even if it wasn't as healthy. It's all about the animals.

I didn't feel lethargic or loose my sense of taste and smell at any point during my transition, 'cause I'm not an idiot and did my research. This video just kind of outlines what stupid people do with the diet, and these people are who I always hear stories of from people I know. "oh my niece did that diet for 2 months, she almost died...." "Oh, my family friend tried that diet, he quit after 3 months when he passed out and got hurt" and then I tell them "oh yeah, that's because they didn't eat enough calories or do any research so they can be healthy. I'm vegan, and I wasn't tired - if anything I had more energy then I ever did when I first transitioned and that still stands today after many years of eating a plant based diet.
I was vegetarian for 3 years, also I didn't eat any dairy products. At first, I thought it was better for my health, but it wasn't. I started feeling more tired than normal for the 1st year, but I ignored it, I thought it could be the stress and pandemic and it was My first year starting university, I started having a Lot of anxiety but still didn't blame the veganism, I think pandemic and all that could be the reason.... 2nd year: I think I was still feeling tired on the morning, but ignored it, just get used to it. And My anxiety improved a Lot but still there sometimes... Also, sometimes physical pain from all the training because I'm a dancer, but I thought, pain is normal if You train like that... Also all My classmates that were vegetarians become injured... But I didn't see the signals. But then it got to me, My first injury, it was devastating because I didn't see it coming, I was not over-exercising, I remember resting all day just to take that gymnastics class. First, I thought I was wrong, My training was wrong, etc. But NO, My nutrition was wrong, so all the pieces came togheter, I realised why the tireness, why the stress, the anxiety, the skills that took longer than expected to nail... I just realised it. You can't be vegan if You are a profesional athlete. I'm not against vegans, but if You want to be vegan, just be very aware about what you're doing and if your body can take it. I eat meat now, and My life is so much better. My anxiety is not there. I'm more calm and better emotionally. And My muscles recover a Lot faster that they used to. I have more strenght than ever and have a Lot more energy. I never should have listened to all the documentarys and that veganism is better for sports, not every human body is the same, and not everyone has the time and money to follow a restrict vegan diet. Yes, I went to a nutriologist during My 1st year being vegetarian, but then it become to expensive in money and time. When I left the nutriologist I should have stop being vegetarian, but I still have my old diet and went with that.
I was VEGAN for 2 years. I started getting health problems not regular in my menstrual due to impaired ovulation and low progesterone. I also was always upset all the time and pissed off. LOL I was not fun to be around with. I stopped my VEGAN DIET because I hated wasted money on taking 12 capsules a day just to supply my zinc and Vit B12. Now, I am the healthiest as can be primarily my menstrual is regular and I just feel ALIVE now. I DID ALSO HATED ALL THAT VEGAN FAD SNACKS AND JUNK FOOD. NOPE I AM DONE WITH THAT. VEGANS EAT WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR AND WHEAT. WORSE THINGS THAT ARE HIGHLY INFLAMMATORY.
Also, plants have oxalates, lectins, and other toxins they release to protect them from being eaten. Dr. Anthony Chaffee says that plants are trying to kill you.
vegan diet does not effect menstrual cycles in any way, please see a Dr. Sounds like all those capsules you took caused your problems, I've never taken one pill been vegan, zinc and B12 are easily availabe from foods tha are fortified like your breakfast cereals, bread, etc. Never eaten that processed snacks and juk food but nor did I eat them pre vegan. no sugar in vegan diets is easy and many sugars are not vegan. It sounds like you had no icea about been vegan, didn't get your research done and didn't have a healthy vegan meals planned out. very sad blaming food rather than your own inability to do research, solve problems by asking others and thinking its OK to cause suffering, pain and death to animals
in the online world, I used to hate "vegan people" and believed that they were stupid. I thought I was right. But then I came across a video posted by Kurzgesagt called "The Internet is worse than ever" and it simply opened my mind. I didn't know why I hated "vegan people". And I realized I had to self examine my beliefs. So here I am in this video watching about veganism. And after watching, I start to respect them now. It takes so much courage to convert into veganism and as the video said, there are pros and cons. Although I will probably stick to my regular diet, I just want to say sorry to all my vegan friends who I insulted back then. Thanks
I've been vegetarian for over 30 years and very close to eating completely vegan at that time. No eggs or butter for over 20 years, and then completely vegan for over 10 years.... besides humans where meant to be omnivores our canine teeth were meant to rip and chew meat while we can still eat plants if you feel bad about eating animals it's fine but don't stop eat meat all together that's just wierd
That feeling when you see someone that actually knows what he's talking about FeelsGoodMan

CONCLUSIONS:
In this population, fracture risk was similar for meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians. The higher fracture risk in the vegans appeared to be a consequence of their considerably lower mean calcium intake. An adequate calcium intake is essential for bone health, irrespective of dietary preferences
bmcnutr.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s40795-016-0064-8
Conclusions
Phytate intake was found to inhibit the bioavailability of iron and calcium from the diets of pregnant women. Moreover, phytate was one of the strongest inhibitory predictors of calcium, iron and zinc bioavailability.
ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/3/633S.long
CONCLUSION
The iron and zinc from vegetarian diets are generally less bioavailable than from nonvegetarian diets because of reduced meat intake as well as the tendency to consume more phytic acid and other plant-based inhibitors of iron and zinc absorption.

Cheese would be hardest for me to give up
@@JessiQT17 a lot of people say that. I said that before I went vegan.
Cheese is good, but it’s not worth raping cows, supporting the breeding of animals to overproduce products for humans or overgrow their body (it’s very unhealthy for the animals), taking their babies away within 24 hours (cows are very maternal), exploiting their bodies, and then killing them a quarter or less into their life. All the while, most of them are raised in extremely cramped or stressful environments.
There are plenty of other tasty foods and alternatives. They may not taste exactly the same, but you can find plenty of other foods that you live without having to exploit these innocent creatures who are sentient, intelligent, and experience life in the same ways as your dogs or cats or toddlers

Iron is stored in the body as ferritin (in the liver, spleen, muscle tissue, and bone marrow)
Iron levels are high in vegan blood because antinutrients in the diet prevent it from being properly absorbed. If you have high iron in blood you may have very low bone and muscle iron.
Phytates (phytic acid) in whole grains, seeds, legumes, some nuts-can decrease the absorption of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium.
Going vegan was the best choice of my life. I never felt better physically and mentally!🌱

Some major issues with this video:
- Those cases in which Iron, Zinc or B12 run low are presented in a way that suggests that this happens to most or at least many new vegans. It doesn't. It happens to some (not even all) of the ill-prepared vegans. Most are just fine.
- Bone density is actually weaker in those people which consume a lot of milk. This was found in study after study.
If you go by some very basic and simple rules you will be just fine:
- Eat diverse within the plant realm.
- Supplement B12.
- Get checkups from time to time.
The more advanced version is to track your food intake for some time, and then you go and optimize your food intake according to your findings.

She asked me 'if we don't eat meat,
then what should we eat?'.

You can most definitely say going vegan won’t work for you if it’s not what you desire.

I felt way more energetic when I went vegan.
Different diets have their pros and cons - especially when you're the one on the menu.

@@teawnagrove8541 why do people like you find it funny to ‘brag’ about continuing the consumption of animal products? Nobody is forcing you to go vegan. Go ahead and eat all the animals you like, just be aware of the effect that has on the animals and the environment as a whole. If you had any kind of empathy and you truly saw what happens to these animals, you would want to do something about it. But if you want to continue killing these creatures for the sheer pleasure of eating them, sure go ahead. That will just make us more eager to do something about it :)

My iron levels went up A LOT when I went vegan.
you need to thank the fortified food you was eating.
@@sogar7926 You are a dumbass if you think cow milk or meat isn't fortified with supplements 😂 Pigs, cows, chickens and whatever animals you eat are literally injected with copious amounts of supplements and hormones to fatten then up for their meat 🤮
Cow milk is from a female mammal. Goddamn do you have any sense?? You call vegans soyboys but do you ever realize that cow milk is from a pregnant lactating female cow, and is full of estrogens ( female hormones )😂😂😂
Soy has phytoestrogens which literally means anti estrogens

Its not that hard to go vegan don't give up just from 1 try. There is many amazing vegan options and I had an extremely similar experience to what you had.
Vegan recipes are online everywhere.
I did vegan for 2 months and I never felt worse in my life. Inflammation everywhere. Plantar fasciitis grew insanely painful. Had random pains everywhere on my body. I went carnivore and all of that went away in 10 days.
5 months carnivore and I can say its way better than being vegan.
4 weeks being vegan
I hope to continue 💚
I've been vegan for 4 months and I experienced gain of energy and life. I haven't experienced any cons.

Calcium in greens vitamin A in carrots and sweet potato b12 in fortified foods (because meat eaters already supplement it cause the cows get supplemented b12 it’s no longer accessible from the dirt) vitamin D is in sunlight and mushrooms (mushrooms are high asf in it) k2 is made from k1 in your gut unless you drink kombucha which is fermented so it’s straight k2 and it’s vegan as well as great for your gut and everything until iron is produced by your body so you don’t need it lol look it up irons quite literally a joke plants are loaded with it zinc is in soy copper is in peanuts and calcium is in plant based milks or leafy greens once again so no you’re completely wrong on everything you just listed

Get your iron and B12 check and make sure you don’t have pernicious anemia. I was a vegan/pescatarian for eight years straight and was on and off after that now I have a blood disorder.
The issue I have with OTHER vegans is that they think that cause they’re saving animals they shouldn’t care about being healthy themselves
Next week I'm turning vegan.
Going vegan is the best choice I ever made. I didn't feel any different physically after the change but a lot of people told me they felt much better. I don't lack any nutrients or anything. But I would go vegan even if it wasn't as healthy. It's all about the animals.
@@thunderforce5578 Yes, I'll never doubt that. 🙂
My zinc levels where low when I was eating meat. It shot up when I went vegan.
Being vegan opened up a world of culinary that I never knew. So happy I did.

When I became vegan those problems happened to me then When I became more carnivorous the problems disappeared and I was normal again
I've been doing it longer than them combined.
Where can I do research?
@@tuteca Right here on the internet. Look at cooking blogs, calculate your calories using google, and read scientific studies on it. That's the beauty of the internet, everything that you can learn in the world can be learned by anyone now so long as they have internet access
I'm vegan, and I wasn't tired - if anything I had more energy then I ever did when I first transitioned and that still stands today after many years of eating a plant based diet.
I feel a lot better being vegan.
Thanks
