You're very right about getting that verse lick in muscle memory - I just played it a bunch of times, set and forget.
5th grade when this came out. Still love it, just as much. Ear tickler.
BTW That is an A#7 not B7,great lesson as you go through the song in its entirety, not just the opening riff like most channels
Thank you Paul for posting this. Brilliant.
You are THE best ! Thanks, I love this song.
Thanks so much for clearly showing the different parts and dissecting the intro section. Excellent work!
This is literally my favorite part of the song.
Excellent! Insane woodsheding to get to where you are.
Great tutorial doood!! Very well explained and display of playing all the riffs. Thank you! BLoo
Love it, thanks for taking the time. Never thought I'd get guitar lessons from David Beckham ;-) I all seriousness though, much appreciated.
Brilliant tutorial. Thank you so much.

You have a lot of talent, and a Sonic blue Stratocaster is the perfect foil for this lesson.

This will take me a long time to learn properly. Gonna have to play a simpler version in our band until I've nailed this

Really cool tutp.. Wonder if this was Lennon , Carlos Alomar or Earl Slick playing those funk licks?
Great lesson but I'm not sure you realised you said B7 instead of Bb7
@19;11 THATS AN f7 1ST INVERSION
Ps ur a great guitarist
Its really good I just can't find out how to play the chords near the 7th fret
🎼🎼🎶👻👍👏👋
Is there a tab for this?
Did anyone picture this guy - 60 years old with long black hair before you saw his face?
is that an american stratocaster?
did you found the name of the guitar model?
Oh James Brown. Still good Coke. Like the Polar bear of course.
Don’t wack it obviously
not enough explanation of the nuanced lick at the beginning
John Lennon played on this song.
James Brown? Shirley not!
Unless you're going to play in Bowie's band no sense learning this , too complicated
Go outside nerd
Total Jeff Beck Ripoff but poppy and Cute. I bet the Guitar dude was showing it. Then Wham. Good Coke.
