I love when Rick looks up at the bridge at the end and doesn’t see Lori (where he previously saw her) Lori always appeared when he was making the wrong decision such as kicking out Tyreese’s group and gathering the wire to tie up Michonne and deliver her to the Governor. He is making the right decision by letting the citizens of Woodbury live in the prison and he doesn’t see Lori appear this time I love that.
Andrea did give us a great Lori take down back in season 2. "Just go in there and tell that little girl that she'll be fine, she'll get a Husband, Son, Baby.....Boyfriend. -bombastic sideeye- she just has to look on the brightside." Bravo Andrea, but you were dickmatized by Phillip, so RIP. Also, if you watch at the end in that truck, under the tarp. That's her body, they brought her home to be buried. So that's a nice touch. And the visual of Lori no longer there proves Rick did the right thing and that's beautiful. She represented Rick's conscious.
Watching this while it was airing on TV was a crazy experience. Some people watched season 2 as it aired, but EVERYBODY was watching season 3, 4, and 5 live and talking about it. Peak television in my opinion
Every time he see Lori it was a judgement call and showed he was doing the wrong decisions but when he looked up at the end and she wasn’t there it was because he finally did the right thing
The issue with taking Woodbury is manpower, they have a bare handful of capable people and would need to post watch shifts on all of the walls at every hour. Woodbury had 70+ people and even still barely managed it, to the point where Ricks group got in and out multiple times
Good things about Andrea 1. She said something to Ed to help Carol 2.She helped watch the farm for walkers (poor daryl) 3.she gave us michonne 4.she showed us from season one that she cared about people 5. She can fish 6. She won the fight with lori 7.she helped beth 8.she is a good runner 9.she was trying to do what dale would want (save everyone) 10. She had nice outfits
@Ethan_1332 6 and 7 mainly. Those are subjective and I disagree with both. I didn't like Lori or Andrea, but Lori was in the right in that argument...and what she did with Beth was wrong as well. Beth was a child, so she handled that all wrong. As for #2, that had more to do with Andrea's ego and showing off than actually helping...and #9? Well, what Michonne said to her was spot on - "I did not realize the Messiah complex was contagious."
milton did more damage to the gov than Andrea which is crazy to think about, also this seasons finale began how the premeire started the 1st episode of season 3 started with a zombie eyeball, and the this season finale started with the gov's eye
A lot of people hated Andrea throughout the season, including myself. I understand why she tried to save everyone, but it ended up costing her life. She thought she could reason with the governor but he's a psycho. Everyone saw that he was. It's also interesting to see how Merle and Andrea had a different approach to try and stop the governor. They both failed in the end though, unfortunately.
Unlike most I actually loved Andrea and was gutted she was killed off Season 4 has some great character development and plots and I’d have loved to have seen her growth I liked how the small piano jingle that played during her death was also the same music as Dale’s death theme uniting them Andrea’s final words of I tried not only means she tried to prevent the Governor and Prison war but she also tried at life instead of just committing suicide She died now she had purpose to save Woodbury It was sad to lose 2 original female characters in one season both Lori and Andrea whom both died never having killed another human being ultimately making them some of the most innocent characters to die and still holding on to some of their humanity.
Andrea wasn’t originally supposed to die She was supposed to save the people of Woodbury on horseback and bring them to the prison It was a last minute decision that got the showrunner Glenn Mazzara fired he didn’t even read the comics Really wish the actors writers and everybody involved would’ve had the gut to tell him the decision was wrong Even Robert Kirkman TWD creator Executive Producer and the writer of the original comics absolutely hated the decision.
It’s so interesting that things got as far as they did if so many people hated it internally. Like.. there must have been opportunities to object before the show was filmed, no? And to let it happen and then fire him after feels weird. I probably just dont have enough context. Haha
@@PhilipManzanoi’m super late to this comment but there actually is more context surrounding him choosing to kill off Andrea, which involves him behind the scenes being a bit… inappropriate towards Andrea’s actor, who pushed back against him, and he basically decided that killing her off was his petty revenge against her, which is also why he was sacked right after the season finished. Andrea’s actor has also alluded to this on her Twitter page which just makes it super sad knowing what we could’ve had :(
0:16 I like how the first episode of this season opened up with an eye of the Walker, and now the season 3 finale opened up with the eye of the Governor! Excellent 🙏🏽💪
4:50 Rick is trying to say that rven though Carl is capable of doing what it takes to survive, he sometimes forgets that he's still a kid. He still needs guidance. Hope this.makes sense
5:05. When Rick says "He's just a kid, it's easy to forget." He's not saying that it's easy for kids to forget things that happen. He's saying that Carl has been treated more or less like an adult for so long, and had to do things that no one, especially a child should have to do, so it's easy for everyone else to forget that he's still just a kid. Everyone else obviously wasn't happy with Rick's decision, but they understand he was doing what he felt he needed to do to protect the group and his family. As a kid, you don't understand the protective nature of adults, especially parents, so that's what RIck was saying.
My best posit for why they took the people of Woodberry back to the prison instead of setting up at Woodberry is that the Governor is still out there, and they probably assumed he would go back to Woodberry at some point. He knows all of the weaknesses of the perimeter of Woodberry, whereas it would be much more difficult for him to attack the prison again, unless he finds another strong group to fight with him.
I still miss Andrea she was never meant to die in the finale the showrunner Glenn Mazzara who obviously didn’t know what to do with her just decided to kill her off for shock value which I thought was a dumb idea I was happy they fired him for that the actress Laurie Holden admitted that she hated how they wrote her character in Season 3 plus she admitted what happened with Andrea’s death behind the scenes she is still alive in the comics at this point and Andrea and Rick end up together in the comics Andrea was originally gonna make it to Season 8 but sadly what happened behind the scenes towards the end of this Season prevented that from happening today I still think killing her off was an awful decision and still to this day I still miss Andrea.
I have been watching since i was about 5 which was the second season, it was so good and fun sitting around waiting for the next episode to get released. Wait till later in the series i cry every time 😂😂
Rip Andrea gone way too soon, she didn’t deserve to die that way, the actress who played her signed a 8 year contract, but Glen Mazzara who was a executive producer and writer on the show killed her off for shock value, everyone who works on the walking dead didn’t like his idea, so they fired him, I am glad they fired him, rip Lori, Andrea, Merle, T Dog, Milton, Axel, Oscar and Big Tiny who died this season
Keeping Shane alive longer, Killing off Dale early, and pairing her with The Governor, a character her comic counterpart never met, pretty much sealed her fate. Her comic counterpart is one of the BEST characters in the entire franchise and the TV Show butchered her in what i like to call their dark era where they didnt know how to write for POC or Female characters whatsoever. Andrea marries Rick and adopts Carl as her own after adopting children with Dale and losing them. This is INSANE if you really know what was supposed to happen. But her VERY EARLY departure leaves room for other characters to fill the VERY LARGE VOID left behind by her loss and it leads to aome great storytelling that simply isnt found in the comics.
As a comic fan first, I HATED season 3 with a passion. The acting is great but the story BUTCHERS the prison arc completely. It is now left up to Scott Gimple, the new show runner for the next 5 seasons, to reroute the story to be back on the comics route.
They veered a lot from the comics. To killing characters early when they usually are the ones who either die last or survive. Or keep characters who died early in the comics alive. Or change how certain scenarios played out
Shane was definitely a loose cannon. Also he was strong but when it comes right down to the wire he would throw anyone with the exception of Carl, Lori, & Judith under the bus or to a walker. Otis was fair game and everyone else would be too.

Rick meant it’s easy to forget that Carl is still a kid not that kids easily forget.
Fun Fact:
Season 3 started their 1st episode with an eye of a walker.
Season 3 started their last episode with the eye of the Governor.

18:48 "Judith you wanna do something?"
I mean...Daryl named her "Lil Ass Kicker" so she has to live up to the name 😂

Taking in Woodbury isn't about strength in numbers. Its about making a community and taking care if them like the governor pretend to

15:12 It was at this very moment these people realized that the Governor was the true villian 👀
I get good chills seeing this first positive "I get it" chat with Rick and Michonne.
the boy that Carl shot was moving slowly towards Carl without lowering his shotgun , It was reasonable for Carl to shoot him
Not only reasonable, it was the only reasonable choice.
His shotgun wasn’t even pointed at them. That was murder.
