7 years later, we're in the 3.x, with a wonderfully tunable arp generator. And, still this has my mind crunching with new ideas, especially being so spoiled with more layers now, too. Thanks for all you do.
You are an out of the box thinker. Very creative approach. MPC 2.8 has a built in Arpeggiator nowadays. But I see this as a creative way to achieve the same with some additional customization options. Very creative and innovative use of the MPC sample layering feature. Again you prove to be a Master.
It was a way to get around not having the arpeggiator but you can still find use for this in case you want something unique and more detailed. But yeah we now have a very good arpeggiator on the mpc.
there is a way to use the mpc live as fx for external instruments? like inserting a drum machine in the 2 inputs and bypassing the sound of the drum machine through the sends or inserts of the mpc live
wow...what a lot of work for arp. Doesn't it just have an arp option? Can't you use the touch pad to play arp patterns or anything. This seems so long winded just for a basic arp pattern. I'd prefer a hands on and freestyle approuch until I got an arp pattern and tune that I liked. Is it just 1 continuous arp pattern or can timing etc.. be adjusted?
I would also like to learn about this. My specific question pertains to whether or not the MPC Live has phantom power to run a condenser mic. I would also like to know how good the audio quality would be.
It's just an editing screen where you can edit steps related to what you write in the grid. When you record a midi note it will appear in the list editor. Other things appear in the list editor all related to what you record in the sequencer.
When I press and hold note repeat I do not see ARP on the menu. I updated to version 2.8 and I still don't see arp when I press and hold note repeat. Help anyone please
With the 2.3 update the Mpc now has a real arpeggiator, link below. This method is still cool to learn.

@@mpchead how to access it , I can’t find it. Is it trough the note repeat function?
wow valuable information / workflow... Marlow still underrated in 2022 !
once again...genius, thank you, brother. Cheers from the UK
This videos was made before the mpc had a built in arpeggiator. It's still cool to see the workflow.

Yes, you can just use an audio track to monitor the input. You can put up to 4 effects per audio track.
Sick my guy.

Hi, what is the List Editors primary function? I dont understand what its for

NO IT DOES NOT ACT LIKE IT , it's not even a good hack or replacement
