I've had my MPC Live for 3 weeks and you have taught me so much bro, Akai needs to sponsor you and add these videos on their website. Thanks homie I appreciate it, and your beats knock!
Hey bro. I have been watching your videos for awhile now. I just got my mpc live 2. I'm looking forward to learning from more of your videos in the future, and becoming an 'mpc head'
Have you seen this video ua-cam.com/video/z4AG6AJhrYs/v-deo.html not sure if that is what you are looking for but yes you can put a loop like that on a pad.
I can make a video of the entire process but I have one already up on how to sample. ua-cam.com/video/LwbcPDKMJH0/v-deo.html see if this helps on how to sample. I am also gonna put up a video about sequencing very soon.
Oh, the trim has a double button... I see it now. I like this machine but I'm so use to my 1000. I'm forcing myself to use the live to get comfortable. Good information... Great videos... Excellent breakdowns...
hey mate, love your videos, you are all i got, after i tried hours alone, than i come and search your channel for help ;-) (because nothing helps better than trying by yourself right?) anyway QUESTION: if i want pad a01 to stop when i play pad a02, where do i do this? thank you so much for the videos! will go on patreon for sure!
Hey thank you for the comment. Glad my videos help you. Answer: go to the program edit and put both pads into the same mute group. You can find this on the modulation page in program edit. They will then cut each other. Does it help?
How do I duplicate a sample so I can edit the copy and still keep the original unedited? Is this even possible to do? I have my original sample chopped up but now I want to chop a different part of the original sample for a chorus or change up. The problem is when I try to chop a diff part of the original sample it effects the original chops that I already have assigned to a program. Thanks for these videos they're a big help!
Just copy it to a different pad. You can also use " copy sample" from the sample edit page. No problem. You can also copy an entire program and make changes.
@@mpchead Thanks bro! I figured it out lastnight. I dont usually use the lfo on the mpc but I wanted to give it a shot. I had the lfo settings on 0 that was the reason it wasn't triggering.

You hear that Akai? :) thanks Darrin
These tutorials are the reason I’m able to use my MPC at all. 🙏
It’s amazing how much stuff left out of the user guide. This video was very valuable
All 3 vids are great. I actually learned something lol. Thanks again
Really useful video. You should do a series like this. I'd buy in. Good work
Thanks for all your hard work. Man you have taught me so much! Respect!
Thank you for your comment

Congrats on the Live 2 ✌🏼
can I (by 9:24) put the loop on a pad and press during the session only one times, so that this holds? Is it possible?
Have you seen this video ua-cam.com/video/z4AG6AJhrYs/v-deo.html

Great video. But can you show how to record the sample let's say from youtube, and then what to do from there?

What are you struggling with?
Hey what firmware are you using?
I don't have the pencil on my sample edit page. I only have the headphones and magnifying glass. I'm running 2.2.

thanks mate i figured it out! thank you so much!
how do you assign the large button to move cue bar? when i turn the knob it changes the sample sound I'm working on instead
Just select the setting you want on the screen before using the data wheel.
Do you have a video on Program Edit? @@mpchead
When record from youtube what exactly do i do next? How do i chop it etc.
So is there a difference from normalize and gain on the process screen?
No matter what I do I can’t save my chops:/ they disappear every time I leave the sample edit menu , can anyone please help!?
Have you converted the chops to a program?
@@mpchead Nailed it!
Why doesn’t my pad loop work??
