I agree to an extent, Rangnick as the director is the key though. That is finally a good football decision, him being the interim manager before that isn’t ideal and it’s unconventional, but compared to what we have been doing, it’s still genuinely positive

Facts, Smalling at his best was 2-3 levels above Maguire, both Smalling and Jones actually won titles and trophies, unlike the guy who was made captain after 6 months. Its a fucking piss take, im an irish MU fan so we get pundits who, while generally sounding a lot more depressing sounding than English ones, show way less bias towards foreign and english players. Whenever I stick on Sky to see the pundits talk, the difference is astounding. They NEVER bring up any of the piss poor performances that many of the english players put out like Maguire or the lunchmaid himself Rashford, unless its basic training ground mistakes that they make. This is one of the BEST things I’ve ever heard. I have been saying this for the longest time. Our English players seem to be exempt from criticism. And all we ever hear is that they’re “off form”. Harry Maguire has never been good for man United. It’s no coincidence Leicester got WORSE after winning the prem after his signing.
Luke shaw has ONE stand out season out of 7 and all of a sudden we lawd him as one of the best in the world. AWB is only good at 1 on 1 defending because of his athleticism. There is much more to defending that being 1 on 1. With wingers. We’ve been calling Jesse Lingard a “young prospect” for the last 8 years yet he hasn’t improved as a player in any regard. Another one that’s simply not good enough. This is now Rashfords 6th season as a first team professional
I haven’t seen any improvement since his debut against arsenal all those years ago. Still runs with his head down. Football iq lacks and always making the wrong decision. Even against Chelsea yesterday his run was offside alongside sancho so the past couldn’t be squared. We have a squad of a lot of average footballers that we talk up and it’s time we start accepting our level and realise we are simply not that good!
I did notice the offside run that closed Sancho’s options. Brainless
Tbf most of the team stopped playing for ranieri and downed tools to get him sacked that season, it was actually pathetic to see. Vardy and mahrez were unbelievable that prem winning season and mahrez went to city so that didn't help either. Maguire was not the issue why their performances dropped.
As for Shaw, he came as a teenager and got better every season until his awful injury and then of course the horrible man management from mourinho. His form last season for club and country was fantastic and he was rightly in the conversation for best LB in the world.
This season has been an embarrassment how the utd players have downed tools to get ole out and suddenly now start playing well. As a utd fan I won't forget this treacherous behaviour.
It’s not Rashfords fault he hasn’t developed which of our players have I can’t think of a single one. Rashford is a good player but we don’t play as a team and haven’t for years.

I saw this headline and was ready to go into this caller...but I am afraid he is right... the red army was singing Ole praises even up to the Man City game..that is so embrassing..we need to demand the best from biggest club in the world...
I get how he says Rangnick should either be the manager or the DOF but I think him working with the squad for 6 months to see which players should stay, go, and need to come in and then moving up isn’t bad. One of our main issues was the lack of connection between our squad and managers to the board and him working with them and moving up will help fix that. Also, Ten Hag in the summer hopefully. Everything else he said was spot on tho. It’s been a calamity of errors and the mediocrity is so welcomed in that club which is why we are where we are now
