Jimmy Page, THE BEST guitarist, period! He was the reason my friend and I slept under a box office window to get Zeppelin tickets, wanting to be close as possible to watch Jimmy make his guitar literally "sing" ... Watch the LIVE "Stairway to Heaven" 1973 MSG version and be blown-away by his guitar solo! Zeppelin ruled the early and mid -70's...there was nothing like them, no one came even close to the level of talent...and still hasn't!
Yeah, the singer's name is Led Zeppelin. Led is short for Ledberg, a popular name back then. I would bring my phone to their shows. My mom didn't appreciate me ripping it from the wall tho. Some guys would bring whole booths. The blue "phone" letters all lit was dope. They must've hooked them up to car batteries. Glad you noted the guitar. I forget his name but he's alright.
At first I thought, who's this idiot saying the singer's name is Ledberg. I couldn't stop laughing after I kept reading. "my mom didn't appreciate me ripping it from the wall tho"
Probably a dozen people have commented this but, back in the day we all held up lighters and it was much cooler looking that all phone displays lit. Peace
I really can’t add much more to what others have already commented, but you could use this concert video to discover the talents of each: “Since I’ve Been Loving You” for Robert Plant (Lead vocals), “No Quarter” for John Paul Jones (Bass/keyboards), “Moby Dick” for John Bonham (Drums…it’s epic) and just about anything for Jimmy Page (Guitar)….but you might want to check out “Daized And Confused” to see what he does…but be aware that the track is almost half an hour long! Enjoy exploring this band…probably the best blues-based rock band ever!
The 60s and 70s were the era of the guitar gods. That being said, Led Zeppelin was a stand-out band for oh so many reasons. Your time would not be wasted if you checked a great many of their songs. Random suggestions - In My Time of Dying, 10 Years Gone, Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Custard Pie, Over the Hills and Far Away, The Battle of Evermore - the list is LENGTHY. You could, of course, watch the live performance movie The Song Remains the Same.
That being said, all of them are incredibly talented as individuals. And Robert Plant has some good solo stuff, I’ve heard. His stuff with Alison Krauss is good too. You might check some of that out of you like him. His voice is certainly special, kinda scratchy at times, hard when it needs to be, and even sweet at times.
Today, 07/29/23 happens to be the 50th anniversary of these live MSG recordings ... 07-27th-29th, 1973 ... The footage here was used in production of a film that was later produced called "The Song Remains the Same", released in 1976. Depending on weather or not you decide to do more LZ, a tribute to the 50th anniversary would be a nice place to start. "Since I've Been Loving You" or "Whole Lotta Love" from this concert would be fantastic and will not disappoint!
Every Zeppelin song is great. From this concert next I’d recommend Since I’ve been Loving You, and also The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song(15 minutes for the two songs, you WILL NOT regret it).

I've been a Zep fan since 1968. Jimi Hendrix died; but Jimmy Page is still the all time master of rock and roll guitar. He plays classical music too. Chopin on guitar ! He, to this day teaches younger guitarists his tricks and methods. Jimmy Page turned 79 on Jan 4, 2023. He still teaches, he still plays, he's still the best looking, sexiest man of my generation !!
Every time I watch Jimmy Page play, it's like I'm sitting in on an undeserving moment LOL! He is just so mesmerizing. I love when he showboats. It's not on every song but he has some fun dance moves he shares at times!
The right way to learn to love LZ is listen to the album recordings before you jump in to their live shows…This band NEVER did any song the same way twice live. This footage was filmed and later released in the 1976 motion picture “The Song Remains The Same” (still available to stream or buy on disk), it ran in movie theaters throughout the 70’s as a midnight show and blew our minds, get a copy and watch it! From this concert series you will see the #1 requested song on radio in the 1970’s (for the entire decade), “Stairway To Heaven” and it still ranks as one of the top greatest rock songs ever today, usually in the #1 spot (Robert Plant also ranks in the top 3 greatest rock voices ever), before you listen to the live version of “Stairway” listen to the album release first...
London rock band formed way back in the 60's and when they first hit the scene, it was predicted they would sink like a lead balloon so they adopted the name Led Zeppelin. The rest is history. Their roots were blues and rock and went on to become the very greatest rock band of all time. I am now in my late 60's and grew up to the sound of Led Zeppelin. I have also been a blues and blues rock vocalist all my life and still regard Robert Plant as the GOAT of his genre. Led Zeppelin will live forever.
Jimmy Page - guitarist John Bonham - drummer Jon Paul Jones - bass, keys (and probably anything else) Robert Plant - vocalist, harmonica, tambourine. Basically, it was Jimmy’s band. He created it, arranged, wrote, produced and led (no pun intended) it most.
Jimmy Page, the guitarist, is one of the best in the world! Love the rest of the band because each member is an expert with his instrument or vocals. One of the best bands ever!
You owe it to yourself to explore this band further. Jimmy Page is fondly referred to as "The Maestro" by Led Zep fans for good reason. However, as you become more familiar with the band, I think you will discover that he is not the only musical genius on the stage.
The nice thing about Led Zeppelin is that it's just 4 great music maniacs that got together. If you want to see more of their music I recommend 1. Heartbreaker (live solos are a blessing to humanity) 2. Ramble on 3. Stairway to Heaven 4. Whole Lotta Love 5. Living Loving Maid
Great reaction. You will get lots of traffic doing Zeppelin. We like seeing people discover them! Be honest, if you don't dig something by them so much, say it, no worries, we can take it, lol! I will say that many ARE blown away by their talents though, lol. You say Jimmy Page stole the show with his electric guitar on this one. fair enuf. Each band member is capable of "show-stealing." They're equally brilliant, and a a Whole, mind-blowingly great.
And here are my "show-stealing" recommendations. Bear in mind that the songs weren't MEANT as individual "show-stealers" so much, nor does it mean the other three aren't also kicking their own kind of ass on the songs as well, but, for the brilliance of John Paul Jones on bass, "The Lemon Song." For Robert Plant on vocals, "Going to California" (beautiful acoustic song), for another killer guitar solo from Jimmy Page, "Dazed & Confused," and for the thunderous power of John Bonham's drums, "In My Time of Dying." (Important to do the studio, not live, version for this last one.) They have at least 70 other equally great songs! Enjoy!
Btw, as a band, Led Zeppelin has sold more albums WORLDWIDE than the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Queen, U2, Pink Floyd, kiss, etc... Pretty much it's the Beatles #1 at approx 600 million certified album sales followed by Led Zeppelin's 400 million albums sold. worldwide certified album sales 💪🏽
When the Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin. Lead guitarist Jimmy page was in a band called the Yardbirds. When this band formed somebody suggest naming it the new Yardbirds. Then the band members thought oh yeah that’ll go over like a Led Zeppelin. Referring to the balloon ship at that time known as a zeppelin. Thus that’s how the group got its name.
‘Stairway To Heaven’ and ‘Kashmir’ reactions are out now!!

At the studio they recorded at there was a stray "Black Dog" that was always hanging around and they were outside one day taking a break, petting the dog and John Paul Jones (bass player) said I think I have a name for the song BLACK DOG!!..............
Lmao inspiration really strikes at random moments huh
Jimmy steals the show almost every time for me too!
Here’s the starter list. Whole Lotta Love, Dazed and Confused, You Shook Me. Peace.
Thank you for the starter packet 😂
Great reaction! Led Zeppelin will forever be my favorite band! ✌🏻🫶🏻
Grateful for the music they left us.........timeless music that makes the heart smile. Thanks for reacting.
Thank you for watching!
It’s hard to believe he hasn’t heard this at his age. It’s too damn popular and is everywhere. Not to mention Page is the best guitarist of all time.
True. Some haven't heard of the Beatles. Different era, generation and culture.
He's masterclass but Jimmy Hendrix is #1,the things he could do with a guitar were amazing. Probably have to put Stevie Ray Vaughn at #3. Personally I liked Page more because of the type of music he created.
@@Patrick-pq7yy Rory Gallagher deserves to be in that conversation.
@@Patrick-pq7yywho is Jimi Hendrix ? (😉)
Led Zeppelin - Kashmir (Live at Knebworth 1979) (Official Video)
Thank you!
@@ShakuurReacts God yes!
Listen to everything Led Zeppelin you can find. They wrote no bad songs and they were all over the place in their song writing, though they always sounded like Led Zeppelin. They were the most unique band ever and to me the best band ever. They mixed blues, folk, hard rock and classical into a recipe of music that is equal to none. Often in the same song.
Oh I’m going down the rabbit hole with these guys for sure
@@ShakuurReacts Song suggestions: When the Levee Breaks, Gallows Pole, Immigrant Song. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven. Just for starters.
I remember first time hearing "Fool in the Rain" couldn't believe it was Led Zeppelin...they were so diverse. I don't think they ever sounded the same...always coming up with new ideas, music, etc...
@@christopherone1 Yep. That comes from listening to a lot of different music and not being married to certain "style". They were/are artists.. They had a quite few songs like that. They've been called the first "heavy metal" band but that's really not a category they fit. They were certainly eclectic. Best band ever, in my opinion. No-one's even come close.
Listen to their 1969 debut album. On the first hearing it still blows people away like it did in 1969 / early 70s.
His guitar work really shines on White Summer (live).
Greatest band ever ❤
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂👍👍👍
Getting the Led out with the classic Hard hitting Black Dog
Check out the same concert, Since I've Been Loving You
Probably a dozen people have commented this but, back in the day we all held up lighters and it was much cooler looking that all phone displays lit. Peace
To see just how versatile they were, you have to do Stairway To Heaven. They have SO many great songs.
Will do
Black Dog was given to this song after recordings complete. The band went outside and saw a black dog. True dat!
Good reaction. Might want to try since ive been loving you, live from this same show.
Seems to be a popular request! I think I’ll definitely react to it very soon.
@@ShakuurReacts yes!!
Just listen to all their work you will not regret it,simply the best!!
You are in for a treat with your Led Zeppelin journey. You will see why they are still the best band ever.
“Whoever is on the guitar”
Omg I feel ancient
Sorry 😭
No worries, glad you found Zep👍
The 60s and 70s were the era of the guitar gods. That being said, Led Zeppelin was a stand-out band for oh so many reasons. Your time would not be wasted if you checked a great many of their songs. Random suggestions - In My Time of Dying, 10 Years Gone, Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Custard Pie, Over the Hills and Far Away, The Battle of Evermore - the list is LENGTHY. You could, of course, watch the live performance movie The Song Remains the Same.
Led Zeppelin is one unit. Each member alone cannot do what they can do as a band, performing together.
From the little I’ve heard so far I agree with you
That being said, all of them are incredibly talented as individuals.
Glad you found Led Zeppelin. My 17 yo came on board this year after hearing me play it often. Its now taken over his play list!
The solo from Stairway to Heaven live from msg is one of the best you’ll ever hear.
Every Zeppelin song is great. From this concert next I’d recommend Since I’ve been Loving You, and also The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song(15 minutes for the two songs, you WILL NOT regret it).
Welcome aboard
Great reaction
So many great tunes to react to bro !
The Lemon Song
Since I've been loving you
The Rain Song
I'm gonna crawl
All of their 4 albums...
Greatest Rock band ever
Fool in the Rain, Ten Years Gone, D'yer Maker and Travellin' Riverside Blues.. there are so many others, you could make half a year's content just with Zeppelin! They were really versatile and killed it, every song!
Enjoying your reaction, look forward to more!
Thank you! More coming up real soon
You sir, just entered a rabbit hole. You recognize greatness. Have fun!
I am 65 and been my favorite band since I was 12!! Jimmy Page THE greatest! Check out Kashmir, live at the O2 1975. Epic!!
2007
Led zeppelin is the very definition of legendary
If you enjoyed Jimmy Page's playing, you have to listen to No Quarter live from that same show.
One of rocks best guitarists ever.
From that album "The Song Remains the Same "
I wish I were in your place I’ve been a fan for 46 years and I still am , you have a lot of fun ahead , yes the group is Led Zeppelin, there are so many banging tunes to check out . Enjoy .
My neighbors called the cops on me for playin Led Zeppelin too loud. The cops arrested my neighbors 😉
That's a good one!
😂😂😂
I know this is an old video but I love the Joy on your face! I feel the same way when I hear them play.
Thank you 🖤
Go to the first album, first song and listen to every single one of them….. 9 albums …….you’ll be happy you did.
Good Times Bad Times - I’m Gonna Crawl…
I remember Led being cranked on my brothers' turntable in the bedroom next door when I was a youngster. Love, love, LOVE it on VINYL.
PAGE....so gorgeous...OMG! just such a sense of class and style too. LOVE HIM!
Each member was a master and innovator in his instrument and they just clicked .
Every time I watch Jimmy Page play, it's like I'm sitting in on an undeserving moment LOL! He is just so mesmerizing. I love when he showboats. It's not on every song but he has some fun dance moves he shares at times!
Would have to recommend their ENTIRE catalog!😁🤣
_DEFINITELY_ - Except _The_ _Ocean_ ~ BEST version of that is Live @ M.S. G. !
Led Zeppelin will live forever.
never pause a jimmy page solo
Sorry 😅
@@ShakuurReacts the guys in the band would laugh at Plant behind his back on stage. "Anybody rememba lafta."
Jimmy Page - guitarist
John Bonham - drummer
Jon Paul Jones - bass, keys (and probably anything else)
Robert Plant - vocalist, harmonica, tambourine.
Basically, it was Jimmy’s band. He created it, arranged, wrote, produced and led (no pun intended) it most.
Jimmy Page, the guitarist, is one of the best in the world! Love the rest of the band because each member is an expert with his instrument or vocals. One of the best bands ever!
Brotha, you been Zapped by ZEPPELIN, Big Time!!!
You owe it to yourself to explore this band further. Jimmy Page is fondly referred to as "The Maestro" by Led Zep fans for good reason. However, as you become more familiar with the band, I think you will discover that he is not the only musical genius on the stage.
I saw them in 78' San Diego
What a blast!
😊
The nice thing about Led Zeppelin is that it's just 4 great music maniacs that got together. If you want to see more of their music I recommend
1. Heartbreaker (live solos are a blessing to humanity)
2. Ramble on
3. Stairway to Heaven
4. Whole Lotta Love
5. Living Loving Maid
Nothing more to say brother he is the best guitar player
Leave me some song suggestions!! Any genre
Enjoy!
@@joescott8877very well said Joe. Thank you sir 🙏🏽
@@SSgt_Steve_USMC3-6 Hey, Zep inspires the praise, man--and thank YOU!
Bring it on home is a good one!
The best rock band ever. Jimmy Page on guiter, John Bonhome on drums, John Paul Jones on keyboard and everything else, and Robert Plant on vocals.
Just start listening too them. You won't stop.
Everything by LED Zeppelin is amazing
You could never go wrong with Zeppelin Dude.
One of the best guitarist and drummers ever.
Each member of LZ is outstanding. Lightning in a bottle!
