    Bayern 2011-2012:
    2nd in the Bundesliga

    2nd in the Champions League at home
    0 wins and 3 losses against Klopp's Dortmund, including a cup final.

    As a Bayern Fan this was the best season I have ever seen considering the background story in 2011/2012. We lost a comfortable lead in the Bundesliga and lost both games against Dortmund and even lost the DFB Pokal final 2-5 against them. And then there was the CL final. We lost against Chelsea in the most dramatic way possible at our own stadium. The treble season felt so good with many great victorys against Barca and Dortmund in the CL final and was the greatest comeback of a Football team I've ever seen.

      Yeah,so much counter attack like Belgium.
      They actually used flanks very well by some top player like Mbappe,Theo Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard.
      That was very interesting that Matuidi played almost as a Left Winger.
      So combination of these four players worked really well.
      They were not really creative and that's why they failed in central area of the pitch.
      Specially in the Zone 14,Griezmann played in that particular place of the pitch. Girezman got some penalties and he scored. Giroud had Zero shots on target and the statistics of these two shows that how bad they were in the central area.
      In some early match of WC Deschamps used Pogba as a First Pivot and he dropped between the CB's to create numerical advantage and in the next few matches Kante was the first pivot and Pogba was second pivot.
      That's very interesting to me,why Deschamps didn't used Pogba’s passing to attack the center?
      Though they didn't have any creative mid.
      It feels like Deschamps used player out of position to play defensively and also they played according to the weakness and strongness of the opponent and that's what made them really boaring.
      But i enjoyed Mbappe's performances during the Tournament.
      He was outstanding ❤️
      Also Pavard's goal against Argentina changed the reflection of that game ❤️

      Watch the match vs Argentina and Croatia again and you'll see two different Pogba and Kante.
      Pogba rarely used his passing range,he used onnce may be against Argentina(i can't remember which match it was) to Mbappe when he was fouled and Mbappe made the run against CB's,Pogba saw that and he stand up to play the pass.

    After the 2012-13 fiasco, Jupp Heynckes delivering the treble was the greatest memory for any Bayern fan, including me. Hansi Flick essentially emulated a similar philosophy as Heynckes and led us a second treble. 2012-13 Heynckes was revolutionary.

    • @Raydensheraj
      @Raydensheraj 2 роки тому +6

      When Javi Martinez took over our defense immediately transformed into a world class defense. In my opinion one of the greatest transfers ever done. He literally was THE reason Jupp Heynckes and the team won the Champions League. Before Javi Martinez we didn't have a defensive midfielder that was world class in assisting the center backs when under pressure, that literally read the attacks of the enemy teams and positioned himself to stop attacks and then - with his technical abilities, tactical intelligence & passing abilities - would immediately start a counterattack.
      He was an absolute weapon concerning pressing and fore checking.
      I couldn't believe how incredibly good he was since he wasn't THAT known except for his expensive Price and him being Jupp Heynckes number one wish transfer...Martinez was the missing puzzle piece and the best player of the second half of the season.

Kimmich & Goretzka are great midfielders but the defense/centrebacks would benefit from having a guy like Javi Martinez again. In my opinion, football has changed massively in the last 10 years.
    While Tiki Taka (Pep) still worked until 2013, the transistion game with gegenpressing (Klopp) has become state of the art today.
    Flick's Bayern combines both worlds perfectly!
    It is not by chance that the team
    practice gegenpressing today and have a good transition game are successful.
    Coupled with extraordinary athleticism and condition, it seems to be a good means of success.
    The advocates of this tactic are:
    Flick (Bayern)
    Klopp (Liverpool)
    Nagelsmann (Leipzig)
    Rose (Gladbach)
    Tuchel (Paris)
    Hasenhüttle (Southampton)
    Bielsa (Leeds)
    All teams are quite successful!
    Flick's Bayern 19/20 will go down as one of the best teams in history. Perhaps as the best in the history of club football.

They set records with 91 points in 34 games of Bundesliga, scoring nearly 100 goals and conceding only 18 goals. In UCL against Barcelona, a team with one of the most legendary squads in history at that time, Bayern came out on top without conceding any goals. Then, they went on to beat Dortmund to complete the treble. This season is truly historic!

    RMA (3 UCL) > BAYERN +BARCA (TREBLE)
    I feel like it's way much more difficult to retain the UCL title for 3 consecutive years than a treble.
    No doubt, treble is indeed from among one of the elite achievement a club can achieve but that is all in the very same year as that particular squad is in full form and ready to hunt for the treble easily. Thus there's teams that achieved this prestigious achienvent for the likes of Inter, Bayern and Barca.
    On the other hand, keeping your form for three consecutive year and lifting the 3 UCLs in a row is far harder from my POV. Point to be noted, that this achievement has been only done by Real Madrid and no other club in the history of UCL and this shows how hard it is to retain the title.
    Nevertheless, bravo to all the teams for their particular achievement.

    • @maxichristl3187
      @maxichristl3187 3 роки тому +4

      As an achievement, 3 UCLs are definitely harder to accomplish but barcas and bayerns treble winning teams would clap the real madrid team(s) that won the 3 UCLs

    • @GM-kj7sy
      @GM-kj7sy 3 роки тому +4

      the treble needs a team to concentrate on all three competitions at the same time.They cant afford to slip up anywhere in any game.
      While Real won the UCL thrice,they only won Laliga once in those three years.Its just about how teams tend to look at their priorities.
      Real wins the UCL thrice in a row which means they are the greatest UCL team seen till date.But they couldnt keep up their consistency against the weaker teams in Laliga.Which is why people dont consider them as the greatest team of all time
      Barca and Bayern did the treble.Which meant they were consistent all season.Barca from 2008-2012 were brilliantly consistent which is why many consider that as the greatest team.
      But by the looks of it,the current Bayern team will probably go past what Barca's and Real's teams achieved

    • @taftybufty

      That mentioned part with the high-line making the pitch big with the ball and the pitch smaller without it is one of Flick's tactics (which was used by Heynckes also). I'd say attacking wise the style is more similar to ten Hag's and van Gaal.

    • @GM-kj7sy
      @GM-kj7sy 3 роки тому

      not the same tactics i would say.Flick wants his full backs to push high always.He dosent want them to be necessary threats in the air and wants them to create a 2v1 everywhere on the wing.
      Heynckes wants his full backs to push high but dosent necessarily want them to pair up with their wingers out wide.He used his wingers to keep the natural width.
