I'm a certified personal trainer and one thing I always say is, "There's 101 ways to do this, we just need to find the way that works for you." Good to know it applies to multiple disciplines.
Hey you said to include a comment on what you'd like to see a tutorial on. Forging integral damascus bolsters and shaping them on the grinder would be my vote. It requires shaping the bolster and handle separately and I've just never been able to figure that out in a way that makes it easy. Thanks for all the knowledge.
MAN!!!! I've been trying to figure out how not to mess up the tips of my knives. Never I mean never has anyone I've asked or watched been like yeah just stop in the middle of the belt. Thank you so much!! I've been self conscious about how my tips look lol.
I've just started taping my blades too I notice when stone sharpening my fingers are leaving scratches
Dude, I would be proud to own that “reject”. You make such fantastic knives.
if there is a paradise, then it looks like this. air, friends, dogs and favorite work.
not yet seen the whole vid yet... thx tho, i was doing everything wrong...
Side note: do learn to free hand as well because there is always a knife that won’t fit the jig. 20 degrees is the angle you want
Totally noticed your blade geometry on your Buttercup short video.. Awesome!
God bless you. i know the pain of no money from yt. its hard to keep wanting to do it. but i love you and your content keep blessing us with your smile, kind spirit and knowledge. all the best man!
I wish so bad that you'd make more forging videos on here. That 1 hour long chef knife video was so gooood. And your vibes are amazing man, always laughing and positive, I love it.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world.
I’m gonna come pitch a tent in the yard by your shop and just watch all day, and just learn as much as I can lol
Just discovered you today and watched a couple of videos, and I gotta say, nothing but love bro 💪
Thank you neil and Dane, I really appreciate the videos you guys put your time and effort into. I came across Neil Kamimura a while ago and find him as one of the most honest and no bull bladesmith and the seals episode was moving, I've watched it twice so far.
Love your vibe, love knives, thx for the tips
Awesome video … appreciate the time you put into showing us how to properly sharpen a blade
I`m making knives for a long time, this man is doing it the right way and he's telling you the truth. Thanks for the great video....
these are the kinds of videos I love. Long form, and just real practical information that cuts through the bullshit you see a lot of places
Always end up learning something new and valuable for knife making and end up smiling and happy to boot! Great video!
