if you haven't already, PLEASE remove the keyboard cover. not only are they pretty pointless, but they also can crack the screens because the gap between the screen and keyboard is so small.

I don't think I've ever commented on a UA-cam video before, but this merits it. All these years I've been cleaning my MacBook screen with rubbing alcohol but it didn't do anything for the marks left by the keyboard protector. Can't believe the answer is as simple as water on a microfiber rag. THANK YOU!

I thought I had a permanent marking on my MacBook Pro screen because I tried to remove it with some solutions, screen cleaner, lens cleaner, etc., and all failed. Then, I came across your way and I thought, "Only water? well, nothing to lose....", OH MY GOD!!! It's all gone. Who thought just water and microfiber cloth will do the trick? Thank you so much!!!! You saved my Macbook Pro.

Thanks for this video it is really very useful. I just cleaned all of my gadgets. I use isopropyl alcohol 70% wipes and air dry. Same with my cases. For my MacBook Air I don’t use a keyboard case or a screen guard. Was using soft facial tissue with water. But now will follow your method.

Any impact on the screen if I do this? Like the protective layer might get damage?
Since it’s just damp with water, I wouldn’t think so but I’m not positive. 👍🏽✨
My flat screen’s have NEVER been cleaned and they are FILTHY!!! My MAC AIR is, too. Bout to clean em. Was scared to damage them. Thx👍🏽💕

Great video! Thank you. I tried a 'lens cleaner' I'd bought for cleaning glasses, that didn't work too well, will try your advice, thank you again! (sad story, I had a friend who had a Brand New Mac Book Pro, just poured herself a cocktail, bourbon, not sure exactly what happened, but drink spilled, right onto the keyboard, killed it. Moral of the story, don't imbibe while playing online 🙂

This cloth is best- another might work but I have personally never tried another cloth before.

Should i get keyboard cover
Don't get a screen cover! It can ruin the camera. I recommend purchasing a hardcover case for the outside, and its personal preference if you want to get a keyboard cover!
Am I the only one who gets annoyed when the apple shows in the screen while cleaning the laptop 😅😭
So those marks from my keyboard cover are easily removable? I thought they were permanently etched onto the screen

I did what you did and I ruined the screen and I now have to pay $348 to replace it
That’s unusual… I would think Apple should be taking care of that payment IF you only used a barely damp microfiber cloth- something doesn’t sound right about this… no one has had an issue thus far with a “simple” cleaning? 🧐 Did you have any chemicals on your cloth that weren’t rinsed out? Was it a clean towel?
@@traciesplace i don’t know someone said I rubbed off my oled Coding on it’s not your fault I’m pretty sure the cloth I used has something in it I have apple care so the repair is only $99 now
