I’m guilty of all of this hiding. Living from my high school and grade school sports achievements, my past deals and other business successes and living vicariously through my children’s achievements. All in the while of not taking care to be my best self. It is so easy to fall in this trap. The best example is the unspoken one and by be a living example. This is why I’m racing a 50K through a forest next month with 4 thousand feet of climbing. I’m sick of being average and at 56 I won’t to show my family and myself, the best is yet to come. Single goal, single moment, single focus. I realized only recently this is my formula to a complete transformation and success in all aspects of life. My hope this comes off authentic and 1 of you are inspired by this!

Great reminder for me today-thanks again Ed! Love your cool barn! I think so much of why we get stuck and hide comes back to comfort and fear. Comfort with the past, the familiar, our habits, and what is easy-where we don’t have to push ourselves. Even in our thoughts. It is weird but true…sometimes we even get comfortable in victimhood, in grief, in anger. Moving to a new place can be hard (in various ways), but it can also be so scary when you come down to it because it is stepping into the UNKNOWN, the unfamiliar…and that is very uncomfortable-it brings up our fears, weaknesses and insecurities! We need to have a mindset of Adventure-it requires stepping into the unknown with an excitement for the unknown and unfamiliar! New territory! Internally too-our imagination is God given to be used and to enhance our life and others-I believe we all have so much untapped capacity! We need to train ourselves to embrace and love change, and watch for our tendencies to slip back into those old sticky spots. We need to step into a more abundant life by allowing ourselves to expand into what God created for us-we have MORE to share, give, enjoy and explore!
Today Ed, u said so correctly. In 2021, my only child went to College, I thought of preparing myself all round to go out for job --- still today 9/2/24 I am hiding 😢in the Name of Preparation without Execution ever
This is so motivational, inspirational. These words are resonating with me in a big way. I want to let them move within me so deeply that it creates motion and I am able to face my Goliath. Face my fears so that even if I fall I can still stand again and say "I DID IT". I TRIED AND I GAVE IT MY ALL, MY VERY BEST. We've all heard it; "If at first you don't succeed, try try again". Never stop trying friends (me!) Always keep pushing outside of your comfort zone and reach. This will carry you farther than you ever thought possible. If we all do this, how much richer the JOY we can give and receive!! Time to come out from the shadows, now is the time to step into the LIGHT where God always intended you to shine His light through YOU!!

I just have to comment on the politics portion of this, and the notion of politicians changing your life. Yes, they have the ability to change my life when it comes to Women's rights and laws governing the female body. It directly impacts all women, and even some men. I get your point, but had to mention this.
So I bought 3 tickets to see you this Saturday in Boise and I've been going back in forth on if I'm gonna bail. The people that were going with me bailed. Then I saw this just now... because that's one of my big problems is hiding.
That's why my Yankee 😉 jersey has no number or name 💥. But than again I stopped watching sports few years ago. I rather watch videos like this instead❤️🔥 being a better person and giving back to others is what matters most in my life now.
What example are we communicating to our children and grandchildren if we hide? What it says is by the time you are my age, it's better to hide behind others...that it's better and more socially acceptable to stand behind your kid, when, in real life, it's a cop out.
If you have no dreams if you are happy with your situation you arent hiding youre choosing. Life is about choice. What is winning....how,are you measuring winning. Theres more to life than wealth money or success in business. Sorry.
