- Fun day hanging out with some of the vr boys in the mk3squad. Glad I was finally able to get the clutch to bleed and take Miley for her first drive! Still things to get sorted but we are making good progress!

Awesome video man! I have a 2000 vr6 Jetta as my daily, and my 2002 vr6 golf GTI just started its build, going for big turbo, aiming for 400 HP to the wheels, can't wait to have her where you have yours, congrats!
Virtually everyone who says 400HP has never ridden in an fwd fully built Tq killing transmission, clutch replacing 400HP car. That amount of HP/TQ gets expensive real-world quick just to be spanked by an EG Turbo Civic making far less HP. Good luck with your build hopefully you are doing it for fun and not comp there are just too many other better alts that are cheaper to build and more fun to drive.
Best sounding 6 engine ever. I'm so happy I straight piped my wagon. Working on videos of rev coming soon. I can't believe how good this engine can sound and how fast it can be

VR Cabby mutant with a Jetta rear end is one of my long-term build goals. That's way in the future though.
EDIT: Told you the 02J shifter feels way better! Polo box makes it a straight bolt-in to the Mk3 tunnel.
Thatd be a pretty cool car! And yeah his shifter feels really nice but I also really like how my fully rebuilt one feels but I do wanna do the 02J tower and stuff. Ill have to look into the polo box stuff.

How is the exhaust Build? Is that a straight Pipe or are you guys using a muffler? This sounds realy awesome. Regards from Germany

@@Mk3Smith not in an 02A rather an 02J 6speed (Bora) gear ratios are way better. That's what I want to do.
Awesome man! I might have a manual cluster bezel around. You can just open your cluster and remove the gear selector screen from the main board.

@@Mk3Smith If you have an extra cluster just to get you by, I can open yours up and fix it for you. I repaired Jerome's that was having problems.
Lucid Autowerks yeah I have a couple 2.0 ones still I think. Idk if it’s actually messed up or it’d something else. It resets every time I turn the car off and the rpms stick at 1k when I turn it off but then when I turn the key it wiggles and goes back to 0 lol
@@Mk3Smith If all of your wires on your cluster harness are plugged in, it may be that the cluster needs repair. I was testing some clusters with the car running and I noticed that when I disconnected the cluster when the car was on, the RPM would stay at around 1k. I'm not exactly sure what that means in your case, but it makes me think that power is being cut somewhere as you key off when it should be still receiving a constant power to keep the odometer on.

In USA the Golf is Rabbit and the Vento si Jetta and i see your friends cars looks like european models,in Europe we try to make them Mexico or USA or Canada model for design different.

if you're having a hard time to bleed the clutch, it's the master cylinder/clutch is bad. Not the slave. Get new one and replace it!! if u leave the car for a 1-2 day it will have air again in the system...
vw should sell the clips for your shift linkage on the cheap, I bought a few from the dealership like 5 years ago.

Also, I been thinking about throwing a vr6 in it also. Any words of advice?
Mk2s are awesome youll love it! Theres alot of options in terms of parts and a lot of it comes down to what kinda stuff youre looking for. Urotuning, Ecs tuning, and Blackforest Industries are some of the bigger companies but theres still a ton of others out there. As for swapping your car what would make the swap the easiest is having a full donor car with a running motor to pull from. The swap itself isnt hard I ran into a lot of little pieces I was missing and had to source out so having a full donor car would be ideal.

the clock issue could be the battery, since you got a more powerful engine more amps are used to start it etc, wears battery down, thats what i think.
Battery is good I actually think I found the problem last night and we are gonna fix it today

Have a vr6 myself stock engine stock exhaust. I want it to sound like this, any suggestions on what exhaust system to go with
The setup on my car is , high flow cat, 2 1/2in piping, magnaflow dual muffler and out. For the most part just about any exhaust system you get for a vr is going to sound really good just depends on how loud you wanna go.

The clock resets cause of a fuse bro. same thing happend to me. Not sure if itll be the same but my fuse was hidden in the fuse box like behind the casing. you can get to it, you just dont see it imediately.

Just fix that gap between the bootlid and the lights it really makes a pretty decent vr6 look crappy

W1cksPencil 66 lol that’s because my shift linkage was held together with zip ties and I didn’t want it to break so I had to shift very gently so it didn’t break again lol
