Hi Mark! Great channel- I've been watching your fair and positive reviews for years, and really enjoy them! thank you for all that you do to inform the consumer....much appreciated! Any chance you'll be looking at/reviewing the new 2022 Versys 650 anytime soon? All the best!
I've had my 2022 CB500X for a few weeks now and there are two issues I've got with it... 1: The Display - Compared to my old KTM 390 it is very poor. 2: The Ride - Every time I get on it, I can't stop riding because it's so gorgeous. It's like being on a magic carpet. I went out for a quick ride the other day and ended up doing a 150-mile trip without breaking a sweat. I absolutely LOVE this bike =)

While completing the MSF course here in the US the course was held at the Harley dealership and they tried so hard to get me onto a 883 and pressing me about the HOG group they have it all felt so cult like and overbearing for a new rider who wants to ride as a hobby not a lifestyle. So the Harleys were not an option and I was down to the Rebel 500, went and sat on one and unfortunately as a 6' 3" person I hated everything about the position of my body. I walked around the showroom floor and saw the 2021 cb500F in black (I definitely didn't want an all black bike not my style) but when I sat on it I couldn't believe how ergonomic the pegs felt and the bar position compared to a "cruiser" style. I went home and did a ton of research and found the CB500X and two days later I had it brought to my house and its been three non rainy days of riding later and I have no regrets. Also the green color wave really appealed to me which makes me think master chief or boba fett haha.
You did the one simple thing that no one else does. Gave us your weight, height and inside leg measurement, and then sat on the bike. The seat height is the one factor that makes a buying decision, and you did it right at the beginning. Excellent.
I'm 6 foot 2 with a 31 inch inseam. I have a 2018 CB 500 X, and I like it VERY much. I bought it in late 2020 for $4500 USD with only 2800 Miles on it. It gets a consistent 71 MPG Highway, sometimes 74 MPG if I'm just cruising at 55. I sold my 2007 Suzuki DR650 in order to buy the Honda. I have NOTHING negative to say about the Suzuki. Simply put, I'm 67 Years old, and no longer feel like getting beat up on the Logging Roads, LOL! I had NO idea when I sold the Suzuki, that Petrol was going to go through the roof-so in that regard the Honda was a very good financial choice as well.
An excellent review of an excellent bike. I am slightly biased, as my current ride is a 2017 model and I love it to bits. It is fair to say that I have had a large number of bikes over the last 40 odd years and I have to say this is the best all rounder I`ve had. I have owned bikes from 50 cc to 1600 cc, some that would do 160mph, some that were classics and others brand new but this bike is so good in so many ways. It is comfortable, VERY economic and fast enough for normal, legal riding under any conditions. I can`t recommend them highly enough and will definitely upgrade to the new model, when the time comes.
I have a similar bike history, lots of bikes, from 125's to ZZR1400 and most things in between. Both the CB500 and the NC750 are such easy bikes to ride if I was only allowed 1 more bike to last a lifetime it would be one of those two models...
Thanks for the comprehensive review. If I didn't already own a 2017 model 500X, you may well have convinced me to buy this new model! Back to basics motorcycling in a really versatile package. As a long term owner I would strongly recommend this bike to anybody more interested in practicality than outright speed. Cheers.

I have a 2019, and it's the best bike I've had. Comfortable, frugal, fast enough (unless you're into speed) and a good base for a great adventure bike. Plan to keep it a long time. Mine came with Dunlop tyres, which have worked very well. I'm curious how they compare to the Continentals.
Thanks for the great review Mark. Covered all of the practical info for “real world” riding. Just ordered one and sweating on delivery date from dealer. Looks like it’s worth the wait. Stay safe and will keeping watching. Cheers from Brisbane
Great review as always Mark I never find your reviews lacking in any way. All the info you need without the waffle. My main concern about the current line up from Honda is the ridiculous idea of the indicators on all the time. The issue is further enhanced at night.. One quick glance from a driver at a junction could easily be mistaken as an indication. It doesn't bear thinking about.
Hi excellent review ! I have a 2022 CB500X in Green (nicest colour IMO) for a week now and I must say it’s a superb motorcycle for under 500cc! Bought to ride over more rural roads as I have three existing bigger bikes all 1100cc and not so good on Irish twisted switch back roads! I’m currently only taking it up to 4000- 4500 revs and it’s a tight wee twin (95 miles to date )returning 83 mph! Looking forward to many more miles with happy smiles!
Lovely bike. I chose a Honda NC750X over this, though. Mainly because it's, also, a very frugal bike, is very low revving at motorway speeds ( around 3,500RPM at 70MPH ) Plus, of course, the 'frunk' storage, which is incredibly useful. I have just sold a CBR500R which has the same engine as the 500X. That was a very nice bike, too.
@@markpulling12 Looking forward to seeing your review. Mine's a 2018 model. The new one's better, I think, but not by enough for me to upgrade yet. I get around 80 - 85mpg on mine, depending on whether I'm riding A and B roads, or faster roads like the motorway. Have had just over 90mpg once on a steady ride back from Wales to South Bucks with no motorways. It's been faultless as, I imagine, the 500x would be.
@@Jaffa1951 thanks Geoff that mpg figure is amazing...I think the NC 750 would definitely be the better bet if you are planning really long trips as it's engine is relaxing at cruising speeds Cheers mark
@@Jaffa1951 I ran an NC750-X DCT (2015) for a couple of years. My journey was a 55 mile each way commute, 95% motorway. If I stuck to a rigid 50mph (I often would when traffic permitted) it was returning 99.9mpg. Utterly incredible.
Currently a rookie with a new cb125f heading towards my full licence next year. As soon as I pass, this is the bike for me. Done lots of research on many adventure bikes but this keeps catching my attention - your excellent and first-class review has convinced me once and for all. Cheers Mark, just subscribed 👍
Cheers Mark. Decided to speed things up a bit due to all this…theory sorted 2 weeks ago, Mod 1 passed last week, Mod 2 test set for Oct and then, all being well, 500X got before Xmas. Only done 600 miles on a bike so far but this bike has bitten me for sure. Thanks again for a superbly presented and professional video. 🙏
I have a green machine also, 8 weeks now & absolutely love it. Over the many years I have everything from a BSA Bantam to a Pan European ST1300. loved them all but reckon that this bike is a keeper & will see me out. I do also have a T-Max 560. 😊
Hi Mark, I've watched a lot of clips of the Honda CB500X over the last year or so because I'm thinking of down sizing. I currently own a 1977 Moto Guzzi California T3 and a 2008 California 1100 EV. The EV is feeling a bit heavy around town and parking. I'm 66 years old and still want to ride. I'm 5ft 10 in and 70 kg, similar to you. I haven't ridden one but decided to buy a new one for March 2024 based on your review. I'm getting the getting the pearl organic green colour (love it) I'll let you know after the first service how I'm coping and what I think. Your videos and attention to detail are excellent. Many thanks Paul
Hello Mark! This will be my next bike! No doubt about it. It ticks all the boxes, especially the fuel economy. I really enjoy the channel and thank you for your insight into the bikes you feature. Be safe and stay well. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
You’ve really presented me with a conundrum now. I really like this for the comfort but also for the bit of off the beaten path I like to take. There are too many great bikes
Your presentation was/is so excellent that sales for this bike have skyrocketed, therefore, finding availability is difficult if not impossible. Thank You, I guess.
Hello from Arizona! Thanks for the review of the Honda CB500X. I would like to get the 2022 model year. But no one in the states has them in stock. Love the videos! Keep up the good work!
Some dealers do. I just actually had a '22 500X delivered on Monday of this week, in Pennsylvania. Same green color scheme above. Honda told my dealer that at the time of my purchase, there were only 3 of these in the state of PA. Whether true or not I don't know, but they are not very common, I'm sure. I was lucky to come across one!
With that large fuel capacity and incredible mph this is the perfect frugal commuter with todays high gas prices. Do like that Honda put a second front disc on the 2022. The power plug on the fairing should be on all bikes to power phone and GPS devices. When I was looking last year I considered this bike but found it a little too tall as I am the same dimensions as yourself. Your video of the NC 750x convinced me to move in that direction, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Rode my 2017 Trophy SE yesterday and happy that you influenced my decision there too. All the best Mark and looking forward to many more videos.
Loving this Mark, I used to live in Poole and it brought back a lot of memories as you drove around, even went past my Grandads old flat! Keep up the great work
I have the 2019 500R version of this bike now with just over 15,000 km and absolutely love it. Thinking of getting the 500X though because we have a lot of dirt trails that would be fun to explore so some 50/50 tires would really do wonders. The powertrain is an absolute honey -- perfect amount of power for in town, backcountry roads, riding with luggage and pillion, and freeway runs. I can get as low as 2.5 L/100 km when commuting around town, though my average is 3.3 L/100 km for the 15k km. One tip is to remove the small intake snorkel to get quite a bit more growl under full throttle (also softens up the throttle response below 2500 RPM).
@@markpulling12 I'm having a hard time bringing myself to trade for the 500X because I genuinely love my 500R. But I can't have two (especially two that are 90% identical). In your final thoughts video, would you please give your opinion on how the 500F and 500X compared in terms of comfort and fun to ride. Cheers from Canada and safe riding!
@@MrSatan1376 If you remove the seat and look right near the gas tank, there's a right-angle snorkel that directs the intake air. You can remove this piece (2 screws, requires removing the battery first) and it makes the engine sound more open and a bit louder when you give it throttle (no change at idle or gentle throttle).
Another good review, but you forgot to talk about the mirrors! First time ever I think in watching all your reviews over the years ;@). Looks great vfm and usual Honda build quality. Shame the screen isn't adjustable while sitting on the bike. Can't imagine the cost of providing this would add that much more to the bike? Also surprised that Honda of all the bike manufacturers has not embraced illuminated switch gear like Triumph and KTM which is so good for riding in darkness. The rest seems really good.
Wherever it is you're riding, I want to go there. Looks like a lot of fun. I've owned mine for a month now and agree with your review. Great little all-around bike.
Great review Mark. I'd like the chance to test ride one of these to compare it with my 2018 model. I had a shot on the latest incarnation of the NC750x a while ago (manual) and found it an improvement over the last one (I owned a 2017 NC750X. ) Looking forward to your incoming review of that👍
Great review Mark as always of a sensible bike, I don't understand the trend towards upside down forks, always seems to me that if you get a leaking fork seal it's more likely to weep oil right down on the brake discs.
Enjoyed your review it looks a nice little bike, I'm coming down from bigger bikes as I'm oldy and its the size I could use. Have a look at the start of your vid, is the n/s chain adjuster lock nut undone? Might be seeing things.
Hi Rob ....yes I'd say so If you need a bike for higher speed with more power for longer journeys then yes .. but the adv is still great for everyday use:) Best regards mark
Great review as always! I have the 2020 model and it's a workhorse. I'm thinking of changing it for the Moto Morini X-Cape 650. Are you going to review it anytime soon? I know it's already shipping in dealerships in UK. I need your holistic approach to have an overall idea! Come on, be a lad!
Great review thank you. About to collect mine next week (I think. . . ). Very interested in the larger 1tooth front mod for touring. I'm unfortunately no mechanic, but it seems a straight forward job even I could do. . Cheers Andy 🙂.
Very nice review! I was lucky enough to get my own 500X (in green) delivered just two days ago. As we haven't had great weather yet, I've only put 18 miles on it so far. It is one beautiful machine in person, I just love the green/black colors with gold highlights. I'm so happy that I have a full Spring, Summer, and Fall of riding to look forward to! Thanks for your review.
Great revew I really fancy this bike looks nice and light compared to my cbf 1000 06 model and my domanater really considering getting one but will have to get a test ride first but it looks the business thanks again for a great review.
Hi Mark, excellent review as always 👌. What do you thing about touring with this beauty!? When you put luggages, pillion... Does he can manage with the power or to take a bike with more power like the VStrom 650?! Did you try duo with the cb500x? Thanx and cheers mate ✌️
Hi alen the cb500x is ok with luggage and passenger at modest speeds ....but if you really wanted to press on something like a tracer 9 GT would be better cheers mark
Great review! Which one would you pick between Honda CB500X, Honda NC750X and Suzuki V-Strom 650? Also, do you find the exhaust touching your heel when riding? Thank you!
Thank you Mark for a good rewiew! Would you say that the 2019-2022 bike is more stabile and more calm at speed stearing-wise due to the bigger 19 inch front wheel compared with the older bikes with 17 inch front wheel? Sheers from Sweden
Hi joakim ....I've ridden many 17/19 bikes and to be honest I've never felt a difference in stability The only benefit of the bigger wheel is rolling over bumps off road Best wishes mark
try to pick up bikes that are heavier, once laying sideways is an issue. thus the 500x. my 750gs is 25kg more top heavy. Impossible for me to lift i read the extra power just covers the extra weight of the 750 dct. But its also 4500.00 usd more in Asia.
@@markpulling12 Thanks for your answer…I ride the 500F but not the 500X it’s quite difficult to find it for a test here in my town…I saw many reviews and it seems that the 500F motor is quite more fun than the one on the 500X… is the HONDA smoked windscreen is good to protect you ? Hi Mark thats the best all round running Review of the CBx 500x on the Chanel Well done im thinking of downsizing and getting one In June 22/ (green) thing is I just sold my new 22/ Tiger 900 Gt and it may be a bit of a come down ? What are your thoughts here!!! Pete!
Hi Pete I've got good experience of the triumph ... brilliant bike ...the honda is obviously less power but very capable...I don't think you'll miss it too much plus the honda is so economical cheers mark
Hi Mark, Thanks again for a fantastic review. What are your thoughts between the CB500x and the Voge 500DSX which you also gave a good review on? Cheers
Hi Gavin I think the voge is great for the money and vs 2021 cb500x it has twin discs vs the cb single brake However the new cb500x ...this one is better with it's new forks and twin discs...if money is not an issue then very long term reliability you'd probably be better with the Honda as the voge is a bit of an unknown at the moment. .... I see no issues with the voge it rides as nice as the Honda so may be worth a punt and save a grand !! Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Hi, Thanks for such a fast response; I`ve owned a CB500X (2013) which was a good bike. The Voge seems a compling option given the accessories already included, rear hugger, crash bars, centre stand and usb outlet, all extras on the honda. I am also draw to the spoked wheels as I will be taking the bike offroad, the new wheels on the CB seem bit skinny on the alloy spokes? I do agree with you re the reliabilty as the CB500 is a proven unit whereas, as you state the Voge is an unknown - still not sure which way to go if i`m honest. Cheers
@@gavinjones7178 I'd ask on the voge forums Facebook etc then you can guage it's reliability if most people get 20/30 k miles with no probs I'd go for it :)
Great review, appreciate the highway speeds to see how the smaller engine takes 70 mph. Could I take this over a BMW 310 GS for the same use, but a little better on the highway?
Hi Mark, great review, you make my decision to buy cb500x. But...how this bike will be with a pasager on? To cruise around at legal speed. I own aroud 95 kg and my wife 65kg.🙂 Thank you! And keep up your great work!
Beautiful bike! my local shop had a used 2019 with only 515 miles red in color I went ahead & picked up that. I traded in my '18 CRF250L rally I love that CRF but I do most of my riding on the street so I figured the 500X would be better it's such a smooth nice bike... I'm sure the new one is better with the suspension upgrades personally I think they just did the dual rotor brakes so it could be something else for the 🆕 model to have but the suspension was definitely a worthy upgrade (from what they say) personally I don't need it don't do much off-roading but I'm very happy with the bike itself I'm doing a 16 🦷⚙️ & then leaving it alone. Smooth, fun to ride fast enough for the freeway and I'm sure you can hit some decent dirt roads
Nice one Mark I really like this one great second bike for the do everything jobs in rain of shine especially with it frugality on the fuel front I would have one and might yet never say never , but there really are some great bikes out there so choice is so difficult : D
Hi all the land in the UK is owned by someone...the only places you can legally ride are byways that are clearly signed...they are like old tracks that date back hundreds of years ...or you can get permission to ride on owners land ...I wish we had land like in the states where you can just ride across deserts etc Best wishes mark
I'm torn between the two as well (but i've had my license for 10 years). I have to say this: every time I come to the same conclusion, which is, the 500x is far more useful. You will never regret buying it, however you might want to sell the 500f after a couple of months of fun. And the X is plenty of fun too, don't be afraid of that.
I'm in the same boat. I suspect this x is more comfy than the f but it's heavier and I've also heard people say it's top heavy, so that puts me off a little bit in case I drop it.
Great review, and my one big concern is about the digital speedometer. I’m not a fan of them, and they seem to be on many newer motorcycles. First, it seems it would be hard to see the display under some lighting conditions due to glare, and second, I imagine it’s expensive to fix if it malfunctions. Everything else about the bike looks good, aside from the gold forks, which I see on many bikes and they look very tacky in my mind, but that’s a subjective, cosmetic issue. I like the lines on the bike and the efficiency fuel consumption too.
Hello, another addition. I noticed they added flash to pass trigger on the switch unit good to see. With the suspension, braking and the available Red color, I'm looking at trading over to the 22 from my 21 model.
Hi Mark question about highway and touring. CB500x, NC750x or Versys 650 for touring? thanks so much for the video's and insight, i have no means to test drive all these bikes so your opinion is highly valued. I have a 2021CB 500x and like it but it runs out of steam on the highway.
Hi Joey ...nc750 definitely for touring the engine is brilliant....very relaxed for touring....the versys is buzzy at higher speed Definitely nc750 best wishes mark
I'm gonna buy one. I think it would be perfect for Colorado. I noticed you guy's have small roads out there. I suppose that makes since because yall usually drive smaller vehicles. It must be rough learning how to drive a semi truck out there though.
Yes it is,I drive a small, ish van and some of the UK artic (semi) drivers, some of the roads they drive down shows you very quickly who can drive and who can't.
Seems like the perfect bike , if you can only have one like me, i've decided to keep my current one one more year when it'll be paid off first though .
Great bullet proof bike. I had a 2019. The only thing was the windshield. Perhaps I should have explored a MRA Vario windshield for it. Just a great worry free versatile “goldilocks” bike. I like the look and feel of classics though, like the RE 350 Classic you reviewed. For a longer tour though I’d take this more practical CB500X.
For the type of bike it is it looks quite handsome, especially in green. Heavy for a sub-500cc bike. I prefer the Rebel 500. I don't like screens. The X is a very competent bike, though. I suppose it would make a good round-the-world bike. Does this bike pick up better than your 390, Mark? I wish Honda would make a 500cc single. The usual excellent review.
Hi nik yes it's a bit stronger from say 3k upwards than the 390 but it's much heavier so actually feels about the same ...more civilized shall we say :)
Hi Mark, Maneesh Joshi here from India. One of the best reviews of this bike that i have seen. Excellent way to convey the specs and your own opinion. I know what you mean with that light slipper clutch; I feel the same on my 2022 CB350 and it is just brilliant in town usage. I have a 2019 Versys 650 currently and I find it a tad too heavy and powerful for me, even after 18k kms on it. I seem to not get used to the top heavy nature of the bike at all. How do you think the Honda will be with regard to the Versys? My plan is to buy this and keep my touring luggage weight down to 20 kgs so that, when fully loaded, the Honda will be equal to the wet weight of the Versys. Just questions to you: 1. Does the Honda feel top heavy in riding in traffic? 2. How does the torque feel in say 1st or 2nd at low RPM? ( if I do buy this, I'll be riding it to Ladakh). Again, an excellent video👍🏼
Hi maneesh ...it's not heavy and feels well balanced and it hadms plenty of torque in the low gears for low speed riding through traffic..it has a great engine :) Best regards mark

I’m currently only taking it up to 4000- 4500 revs and it’s a tight wee twin (95 miles to date )returning 83 mph! Looking forward to many more miles with happy smiles!
Thanks John sounds great 👍
Seen reviews of all three models like the X's phone charging capabilities but the look of the R version does it for me. Fantastic videos mate ❤ them .
Yeah that frunk is really tempting me. Is the 750x a bit taller as well?
Thanks Geoff I agree on the nc750x ..even better..I've got one for two weeks from Honda
Review next week 😊😃👍
@@markpulling12 Looking forward to seeing your review. Mine's a 2018 model. The new one's better, I think, but not by enough for me to upgrade yet. I get around 80 - 85mpg on mine, depending on whether I'm riding A and B roads, or faster roads like the motorway. Have had just over 90mpg once on a steady ride back from Wales to South Bucks with no motorways. It's been faultless as, I imagine, the 500x would be.
@@Jaffa1951 thanks Geoff that mpg figure is amazing...I think the NC 750 would definitely be the better bet if you are planning really long trips as it's engine is relaxing at cruising speeds
Cheers mark
@@Jaffa1951 I ran an NC750-X DCT (2015) for a couple of years. My journey was a 55 mile each way commute, 95% motorway. If I stuck to a rigid 50mph (I often would when traffic permitted) it was returning 99.9mpg. Utterly incredible.
What a nice long and complete review! Great stuff , thanks Mark 👍
Many thanks James great bike 😊
Currently a rookie with a new cb125f heading towards my full licence next year. As soon as I pass, this is the bike for me. Done lots of research on many adventure bikes but this keeps catching my attention - your excellent and first-class review has convinced me once and for all. Cheers Mark, just subscribed 👍
Thanks Cary ....yes you can't go wrong with the 500x or any Honda come to think about it
Good luck with your licence

Cheers Mark. Decided to speed things up a bit due to all this…theory sorted 2 weeks ago, Mod 1 passed last week, Mod 2 test set for Oct and then, all being well, 500X got before Xmas. Only done 600 miles on a bike so far but this bike has bitten me for sure. Thanks again for a superbly presented and professional video. 🙏
The very Best review video on the CB500X that I have seen.
Great Job!
Thanks Joe my pleasure 😊😚
I haven't ridden one but decided to buy a new one for March 2024
based on your review.
I'm getting the getting the pearl organic green colour (love it)
I'll let you know after the first service how I'm coping and what I think.
Your videos and attention to detail are excellent.
Many thanks

Thanks Paul great choice...you can't go wrong with the cb500x

Hello Mark! This will be my next bike! No doubt about it. It ticks all the boxes, especially the fuel economy. I really enjoy the channel and thank you for your insight into the bikes you feature.
Be safe and stay well.
Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Many thanks Roy
Great choice with the cb500x
Thanks Mark your vids are the best and most informative i have seen , a real joy to watch .
Hi gaz many thanks 👍😊
You’ve really presented me with a conundrum now. I really like this for the comfort but also for the bit of off the beaten path I like to take. There are too many great bikes
Your presentation was/is so excellent that sales for this bike have skyrocketed, therefore, finding availability is difficult if not impossible. Thank You, I guess.
Ok Owen many thanks
Best regards mark
Love it. Just picked mine yesterday. What a bargain. Thanks for the review.
Hello from Arizona! Thanks for the review of the Honda CB500X. I would like to get the 2022 model year. But no one in the states has them in stock. Love the videos! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Jake yes it's a great bike 😊👍
Some dealers do. I just actually had a '22 500X delivered on Monday of this week, in Pennsylvania. Same green color scheme above. Honda told my dealer that at the time of my purchase, there were only 3 of these in the state of PA. Whether true or not I don't know, but they are not very common, I'm sure. I was lucky to come across one!
@@WRjockey Ride safe my friend!
@@markpulling12 Just picked up a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor
Thanks two of my favorite bikes you have ...I've got an nc750x in my garage for two weeks..from Honda . Video next week 😊
@@markpulling12 Looking forward to your review.
Loving this Mark, I used to live in Poole and it brought back a lot of memories as you drove around, even went past my Grandads old flat! Keep up the great work
Ok John cheers
I like your style Mark. You pulled me over the line.
Many thanks great comment 🙂👍
@@markpulling12 I'm having a hard time bringing myself to trade for the 500X because I genuinely love my 500R. But I can't have two (especially two that are 90% identical). In your final thoughts video, would you please give your opinion on how the 500F and 500X compared in terms of comfort and fun to ride. Cheers from Canada and safe riding!
@@Thirsty_Fox yes will do 😊
Would you pls explain the tip " remove the small intake snorkel " ?
@@MrSatan1376 If you remove the seat and look right near the gas tank, there's a right-angle snorkel that directs the intake air. You can remove this piece (2 screws, requires removing the battery first) and it makes the engine sound more open and a bit louder when you give it throttle (no change at idle or gentle throttle).
Very thorough review Mark. The bike came across as a very competent machine, especially on the bypass section.
Yes I know !! but I put a notation on in the town riding section :)
@@markpulling12 Yes you did.
@@alexmorgan3435 yes strange lol

Superb review Mark and very informative. I've just ordered this exact bike in the same colour - can't wait.

Good review, thanks. I intend to get this bike towards the end of this year.
Wherever it is you're riding, I want to go there. Looks like a lot of fun. I've owned mine for a month now and agree with your review. Great little all-around bike.
Thanks Phil great choice 😊
Great review Mark. I'd like the chance to test ride one of these to compare it with my 2018 model. I had a shot on the latest incarnation of the NC750x a while ago (manual) and found it an improvement over the last one (I owned a 2017 NC750X. ) Looking forward to your incoming review of that👍
Thanks Alan yes NC,750 over the weekend:)
Another great bike from Honda and a good review as always Mark...Nice one mate :-)
Many thanks 👍
Great review Mark as always of a sensible bike,
I don't understand the trend towards upside down forks, always seems to me that if you get a leaking fork seal it's more likely to weep oil right down on the brake discs.
Thats why they use upside down oil.😎

Lovely review mark, you're getting quite good at this! Question: is the 2022 CB500X a thousand pounds better than the ADV350?

Would you say that the 2019-2022 bike is more stabile and more calm at speed stearing-wise due to the bigger 19 inch front wheel compared with the older bikes with 17 inch front wheel?

Hi joakim ....I've ridden many 17/19 bikes and to be honest I've never felt a difference in stability
The only benefit of the bigger wheel is rolling over bumps off road

try to pick up bikes that are heavier, once laying sideways is an issue. thus the 500x. my 750gs is 25kg more top heavy. Impossible for me to lift i read the extra power just covers the extra weight of the 750 dct. But its also 4500.00 usd more in Asia.

Hi Mark,
Thanks again for a fantastic review. What are your thoughts between the CB500x and the Voge 500DSX which you also gave a good review on?
Cheers
Hi Gavin I think the voge is great for the money and vs 2021 cb500x it has twin discs vs the cb single brake
However the new cb500x ...this one is better with it's new forks and twin discs...if money is not an issue then very long term reliability you'd probably be better with the Honda as the voge is a bit of an unknown at the moment. .... I see no issues with the voge it rides as nice as the Honda so may be worth a punt and save a grand !!
Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Hi,
Thanks for such a fast response; I`ve owned a CB500X (2013) which was a good bike.

@@markpulling12 thank you for quick response. In 2 weeks I'll get one 🙂
Thanks for the comment George
Glad you are enjoying your 500x

Very nice review, thanks for posting it.
So, mark, what would you get the cb500x, or the nc750 x?
Hi both brilliant but nc750x for me ...I prefer it's long legged low revving engine cheers mark
8:35 Some weird linemarking there pointing to the right. Won't that make you counterflow?
Is it scratched on the right side of a tank?
How does this bike get twin disc brakes up front and the nc750x gets a single?
Yes I know....it's strange?
The nc750 could definitely do with a brake upgrade
This also has higher spec suspension and an adjustable screen. Odd eh?
Nice one Mark I really like this one great second bike for the do everything jobs in rain of shine especially with it frugality on the fuel front I would have one and might yet never say never , but there really are some great bikes out there so choice is so difficult : D
Very nice1 What I want to know is: how do you know if it is legal to ride down a track or not? Are there any signs for or against?
Hi all the land in the UK is owned by someone...the only places you can legally ride are byways that are clearly signed...they are like old tracks that date back hundreds of years ...or you can get permission to ride on owners land ...I wish we had land like in the states where you can just ride across deserts etc

@@markpulling12 Thanks for that!
Can't decide between this and the F. I've just passed my full test and think the 500 would be perfect. Any help or advice between the two please
Definitely the x is better all round
I'm in the same boat. I suspect this x is more comfy than the f but it's heavier and I've also heard people say it's top heavy, so that puts me off a little bit in case I drop it.
It's a very good review. Whatever we wonder it you told us.
Thanks for the comment Ellen
Thanks for an excellent review.
Hi Joey ...nc750 definitely for touring the engine is brilliant....very relaxed for touring....the versys is buzzy at higher speed
Definitely nc750 best wishes mark
I'm gonna buy one. I think it would be perfect for Colorado. I noticed you guy's have small roads out there. I suppose that makes since because yall usually drive smaller vehicles. It must be rough learning how to drive a semi truck out there though.
Yes it is,I drive a small, ish van and some of the UK artic (semi) drivers, some of the roads they drive down shows you very quickly who can drive and who can't.
Thinking of downsizing from the 1200 gs and these look appealing
Seems like the perfect bike , if you can only have one like me, i've decided to keep my current one one more year when it'll be paid off first though .
Great bullet proof bike. I had a 2019. The only thing was the windshield. Perhaps I should have explored a MRA Vario windshield for it. Just a great worry free versatile “goldilocks” bike. I like the look and feel of classics though, like the RE 350 Classic you reviewed. For a longer tour though I’d take this more practical CB500X.
Thanks Pete ☺️😁
For the type of bike it is it looks quite handsome, especially in green. Heavy for a sub-500cc bike. I prefer the Rebel 500. I don't like screens. The X is a very competent bike, though. I suppose it would make a good round-the-world bike.
Does this bike pick up better than your 390, Mark? I wish Honda would make a 500cc single.
The usual excellent review.
Hi nik yes it's a bit stronger from say 3k upwards than the 390 but it's much heavier so actually feels about the same ...more civilized shall we say :)
@@markpulling12 I'd rather have a 390.
Hi Mark,
Maneesh Joshi here from India.
Just questions to you:
1. Does the Honda feel top heavy in riding in traffic?
2. How does the torque feel in say 1st or 2nd at low RPM? ( if I do buy this, I'll be riding it to Ladakh).
Again, an excellent video👍🏼
Hi maneesh ...it's not heavy and feels well balanced and it hadms plenty of torque in the low gears for low speed riding through traffic..it has a great engine :)
