I noticed when friendships feel more like cliques, they don't tend to last. When you are so focused on "not letting others in" and "pushing away from certain groups", you find that you are slowly tearing your own friendships apart.

This was much needed. Level of monogamous sacrifice for a non commitment relationship is such a heavy burden.

Great video. Agreed...platonic friendships are polygamous. It's like being in a harem. There is a pecking order that is constantly shifting. You never know where you stand. It's like a workplace relationship where you're only valued for the work you did today. This is why family relationships are more valuable than romantic or platonic relationships. Family relationships are technically friendships because all relationships are intentional, and some families are broken up and they don't talk to each other. Family friendships are usually more loyal, stable, and long lasting. The blood connection of your family represents a physical bond. A legal contract. There is more societal pressure to support your family friendships, than there is to support your romantic or platonic relationships. All levels of government will legally recognize a family friendship. This societal pressure helps to keep family friendships alive. Basically you need to have a family in order to have a real friend. This is why there is so much pressure to have children, because then you have a friend for life.

Hi Lindsiann! Wow, what a deep, thoughtful video. You really hit the nail on the head here. We can all relate to this anxiety. Thank you and God bless. I have definitely learned to be patient and admire those long-standing friendships. Happy New Year!

I love this channel 💞 ....Same here, I was shy throughout my growing up years, and had very little to hardly any friends, and still same now. However I have learned that God protects us from people that don't deserve us... because we offer quality and true long lasting love and unconditionally. So though at times I have felt left out, cancelled, shut out, or not valued, and uninvited....I realize that God's keepsaking me from anyone that can't hurt my heart or my feelings and in the meantime my relationship with God has grown stronger, and I'm better. Someday people will notice that we were unique and special and they missed out on establishing a real strong bond and amazing relationship with people like us Lindsiann 💞🧡

i had a friend that i have been friends since hs and recently early this year i broke up with that friend because i wasn’t feeling the same way in our friendship, i forgot the name but it happens and because i didn’t want to suddenly ghost them, i sent my final message towards her

Never do that, just put the friendship on hold. It will come back on its own time. I don’t judge if I haven’t seen someone in a few years. I just remember the good time and move on.
