For everyone asking about the cable. If you take the back off the falcon controller and remove the Z cable from the harness, that is the cable you need. The sonic pad basically takes the place of the falcon controller.
Do you know how to do the rest of the set up? I’ve done all of this and it does not work. Is there some type of configuration I need to do? When I hook it up and go to move the motors it just says connect printer
Guys i need some help. I bought for my ender 3 S1 PRO laser 10W and it has some attachement ( falcon module) and i dont have this cable like u on the video). What can i do? i have ender + sonic pad as well.
I got the 10w flacon laser add on when I bought my ender 3 s1 pro. Felt a bit daunting having to disconnect everything and connecting the flacon box. So happy I upgraded to the sonic pad a week ago. Thought I'd check today to see if it was actually compatible with the laser. So glad it's just 1 cable to connect/disconnect. Means swapping it over is a quick simple job. Got plenty things I'm wanting to engrave
I have the 5W laser, a sonic pad and an Ender-3 S1 Pro, but I don't have the cable and mounting bracket shown in this video. Is this extra or only with the 10W laser?
Creality where is the update for the Ender 3 S1 Plus? It always gets left out. It’s just a bigger build plate I don’t understand why the time can’t be taken to add that one difference. I even upgraded my hot end to 300c so for most applications I’m only one difference away from the Pro model. I had to buy the Creality laser engraver setup to run a laser on my S1 Plus but I would rather not have to switch over my entire wiring harness to the laser controller when it would be so much easier to leave everything hooked up on the Sonic Pad and factory harness and only have to switch the extruder to the laser. You already got my money for all this stuff so be cool and update the firmware for S1 Plus so I don’t have to go through so much setup time.
@@dennislamparter I gave up the sonic pad. I didn’t do anything special to not lose data. But the sonic pad lost thr time sync and reset to 01/01/2020 mid night every power circle. My advice, raspberry pi with klipper and flash marlin back with original screen for engraving.
Tried this and when i turned back on the printer the board on the lazer started to smoke and burnt...... ya thats not supposed to happen. I guess ill open a support ticket.
"Laser module fixing plate"? This looks very different than the "J" shaped plate that came in the box with the laser kit. Does this need to be printed? Can you explain this plate, please?
Actually, I'm in more trouble here than I thought. I can mount the laser unit to the frame using the J shaped plate. One of the next instructions is to connect the laser cable to the printer. The laser kit comes with some cables that are very nicely attached to the Falcon control unit. There's no separate cable just for the laser in the kit. Where to obtain one?
@@AnthonyFloyd Hey, did you find an answer to this problem ? i only manage to use the laser kit with falcon aswell, but can't use it with sonic pad.... which would be nice to do it remotly ...
So I had the same issue with my 5W Creality Laser module and my Ender 3 S1 Pro. Turns out there is a new V2.0 laser that provides the mounting bracket with only 1 cable to hook up and no falcon box (as you can hook directly up to the ender 3 pro S1). The the older generation laser that has the J bracket, a pile of wires to hook up and the falcon box. I ended up just going out and purchasing the V2 for ease of switching between print head and laser head. Creality needs to make this more obvious on their website when purchasing. I ended up buying my V2 on Amazon as the pictures showed what was exactly in the box.
It has been ONE YEAR and ONE MONTH since Creality posted this video with the description above ending in: "More Creality printers will get on this function in the near future.". That being said, how many other printers have you added to the the compatibility list? Because the last time I checked (just now) the answer is NONE. I have a 3v2, 3v3SE and a CR-30, all connected to my Sonic Pad and a 10W Falcon that has been sitting here waiting as long as I have for an update. And that update doesn't even need to be a FW update, I just want to know what the status/progress is. I mean if Creality just gave up on this, at least let us know somewhere/somehow because we are clearly well beyond "near future" here.
Creality, we need laser in Ender 3 S1 Plus. You always forget the Ender 3 S1 Plus. We also used laser module on it.
Its strange! This can't be more difficult than tweaking some bed width settings in the S1 profile. DO IT CREALITY!

So can i connect the 10 watt lazer to the auxilary port on my s1? Isn't it past its rated limit?
When you add Ender 3 S1 PLUS? Creality please :D.
I didn't get that smaller bracket did you buy that separately i bought the 10 watt full kit only thing i don't seem to have is that spacer
I have a CP-01 3 in 1 Printer. Will it work with the laser and the CNC?

There is no Range function with the Sonic pad, I still use the stock firmware for engraving because of this.
How do you not lose your data from the Sonic pad?

What slicer do we use and how do you connect it. Can’t seem to find laser options in the one shown in the video
