I love keeping salads in glass containers. The lettuce stays so much crisper and fresher than in a plastic bag. Great tips!
If you put a paper towel at the bottom of the mason jar, it keeps the lettuce crisp. It absorbs the moisture
Different size condiment jars drives me bonkers as well....putting them all in same size squeeze bottles...GENIUS!! Loved the video! Always good stuff! TFS Nikki!

I love mason jar salads! I swear by them. If you put all the extras on bottom and lettuce on top it helps keep it more crisp :)

Prepping on 'store day' is GOLDEN! If something is prepped before it hits the fridge, it pretty much WILL be used; if not, well, lets just say a lot of money was wasted! Anddd, I simply LOVE your squirt bottles lined up without all the insanity of this jar and that container of whatnot! They take up so much less space, easily located, quick to use & replace! I NEEEEED these bottles asap! THANK YOU, Nikki!!! : )
I love the theory behind these ideas. Unfortunately, many of them will not work for large families. I would have a frige full of only mason jar salads lol! Absolutely great ideas for a two person household. I'm really digging the condiment bottles. I think I may give those a try. Thanks, Nikki!

I love your organizational process for your fridge. I started doing something similar a year ago after I caught the Organizational Fever. However, I love how you store the clean containers in the fridge for easy access. And, how you prep your food/lunches ahead of time. I often waste time in the am prepping salads/fruit for lunch. Excellent!
Wow, am I happy to find this. My fridge is a mess, so I stand and stare then close the door. TY.
I can't wait to do the salads! I'm vegetarian, so three-forths of my food budget is spent on on fruits and veggies. Because my frig is so disorganized, I end up composting most of the stuff that's gone bad! I hate so being wasteful! (Not to mention the money I'm losing!). I buy cheese in 2-pound blocks, grate it and put in Mason jars to keep it fresh. Never thought doing the same my veggies! I can't thank you enough for this wonderful food-saving, money-saving, time-saving idea!
I love the way it is set up and I was able to walk away and go take stock of my fridge...I will be picking up some of the smaller containers from the dollar store and pick up mason jars for my salad...brilliant!!!! Thank you for all the info you put here on UA-cam , I have been motivated and have slowly been organizing my home. 😃😃😃

Oh my stars! You need to be the refrigerator stylist for all the refrigerator ads! Your fridge looks spectacular! However, I can't help but wonder what it's going to look like when you entertain… because we all know you're the hostess with the most-est! Perhaps you can film an 'entertaining' segment/fridge update video when your fridge is full of stuff you don't normally have on hand. That's generally when I'm stumped with organization/placement. But I love how everything on the day-to-day is so neat and tidy! Bravo!

Love the idea for the fridge! It seems such an elegant solution also for people who tend to overeat! This system leaves a visual reminder how much has been eaten!

great ideas...my daughter and son in law live in our home with the 12years and the 2years granddaughter and grandson...all four need luncheons...and we still need breakfast and lunch for all of us...than dinner for six you are a life savior

This is a great video. I saw one of your videos about a year ago and my refrigerator has not been the same since! Your ideas are time saving and makes cleaning the refrigerator easier. I simply grab a container and clean it, without having to clean the entire thing. I like this video and it has inspired me to make some changes to my food storage and meal planning systems. Thank you!
Great video and fridge ideas. I live a lone so I don't buy as much food...only what will get eaten that week. I don't use the bottom drawers because they are not necessary and I don't want to forget something. I also use a lazy Susan on my top shelf so nothing gets lost in the back of the fridge. Helps with my bad back too since it is a traditional refrigerator.

Tomatoes lose all flavor in the fridge as well as changing the texture, cold temperatures break down the membranes inside the fruit walls turning it mealy, leave tomatoes on the counter until ready to use.. Strawberry's absorb easily including pesticides so get them at a farm or buy organic, if you wash them do it with your spray handle and dry them quickly never cut up a strawberry before you wash and eat it immediately refrigeration of a berry is a soggy unfavorable fruit. Rule of thumb never wash any berries until you are ready to eat it, best way to store is in layers in a paper bag paper towels between the layers. Never put sweet or any kind of potato in the fridge it will turn the starch to sugar and make it gritty.

+Ella Jones I was thinking to myself while watching the video that that doesn't sound right, cutting up all those fruits and veggies and leaving them in the fridge. Chopped up onions also absorb alot of toxins in the air (or so I've heard) so I wouldn't recommend leaving them chopped up in the fridge either

I love this. As a mom of 3 small little ones (1 in 1st grade, 1 toddler and one on the way) I need to figure out how to make this work for us but I know this would be so helpful to both my husband and I so we can see everything and have it easy to get. The salad idea is genius.

Nikki, thanks so much for the fridge organizing vid! I did this and it just makes life SO much easier! One thing I do is put a wet paper towel folded inside each mason jar of salad. It keeps the salad fresher much longer! Just a little hint! So happy I found your channel! Keep it up!

I'm obsessed with the round condiment squeeze bottles. I love 'em so very much. My 4 "16-oz." OXO bottles separately have mustard, ketchup, honey barbecue sauce and pancake syrup in my kitchen's cabinet. I love to play with my 20 other empty "12-to-16-oz." "Farberware, OXO & Tablecraft" bottles so I can hold, stack and squeeze 'em on my office desk in my bedroom. I always beat the expiration dates. When my 4 OXO bottles are low in my favorite condiments, I separately squeeze 'em into my correct, labeled, different-shaped bottles. I wash my OXO bottles. I separately refill 'em toward the bottlenecks. "Squeeze" is my favorite word. 💗☺💗☺💗☺
I really like the look of your refrigerator and the visibility of everything! I waste so much food and food products because of things getting "lost." I am an out of sight out of mind person so the clear containers will really be beneficial to me! Thanks so much!

Oh my gosh Miss Nikki!!! I just found you and I am so thankful that I did! This is what I have been looking for!!! I need some rhyme & reason to my food preparation; grocery shopping; along with keeping my husband's diabetes in check. He doesn't like fruit or yogurt but he does love salad. I thought if I make our refrigerator and pantry look more appealing to him then maybe he would try something new. He doesn't drink smoothies or juices BUT if they come nicely presented he may start trying them. Thank you for doing the hard part and showing me the way you handle your household!! I really appreciate it & YOU ARE BRILLIANT MA'AM!!

I once experimented with the mason jar salad versus a plastic container and the mason jar kept the salad fresh three times as long as the plastic jar! Thank for as always for all of your tips. I may be moving my condiments into same size containers. So helpful!

Hey NiKki, at the beginning I want to say that I love you and your channel. Always draws inspiration from you and I watch the interesting tips. I noticed in the last movie that you prepare your salad before, great idea! But I paid attention to that you add a lot of cucumber. I was taught that cucumbers should not be combined with other vegetables especially tomatoes because they kill them vitamins. I wanted to share with you this knowledge.
