I am from Spain. I love your channel and everything you teach on it. Could you make a video about the multi-track recording option in BandLab? Please thanks.
I love how far this app has come in the past few years, loads of tweaks & helpful add-ons. Easy set up & work flow. Sure it may lack the sheen of it's paid rivals, but for the glorious asking price of free it's a winner! Don't let the snobs tell you otherwise.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Exactly right Pete & when you compare it against some of the other browser-based DAWS-like sound trap which charges a monthly fee for basically the same it's easy to see why it's become so popular. We made use of it on our last album!
Hi Pete Johns ! Do I need a mac or Apple computer to be able to release songs from garageband on my iPhone and iPad? I'm trying the Distrokid using my iPad but I don't know what the problem is. I only have an old pc but I don't know if I can transfer the songs to pc and create Distrokid account there. If there's any video about this. Should I need to buy a Mac? Please help thanks!
Hey there. Yes, so it is challenging to release a song using iOS as the DistroKid website isn’t optimised for mobile. ua-cam.com/video/FzXdvqEdiVs/v-deo.html
I see lotta new faces! Well done, man. I had to step off earlier, consequently missing some of this , so I'm now re -watching, appreciate the info my friend -- Respect 👍🏼✌🏼
Hi Pete, the BL Mastering ends up in m4a. So it is a compressed lossy format I think. Can I ship around this or must I convert it in wav and will not win anything with it?
Hey there. So, the desktop version has the option to master and export as an uncompressed WAV. So you can use a desktop or use Chrome/another browser in desktop mode on your mobile device and master that way.
I wish there was a way to group tracks together and change the effect for all of them simultaneously. It's a bit tedious to change each one of them every time just to hear what it'd sound like. I guess I could do a mixdown into one track just to test it out, but that's annoying...

THE GOAT IS BACKKK first u helped me with garage band now bandlab!!!
Nice! Glad to help.
Is it better than garageband for mixing?
It has some better automation options and some different effects and presets. Not “better”, but definitely comparable.
@@PeteJohnsMusic are you talkin about Smartphone version? Are you?
This video is about the browser version. If you’re using iOS there’s more options on GarageBand and o find it easier to use.

100%. It won’t be for everything but really nothing is! If I was starting out I would be blown away by what this can do.

@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanx man☺
how do i add effect only for ONE part that i want
Cut and paste to a new track and add effects to that.
I didn't even know that "auto wah" was there!

Yup. That’s why apps like Logic Pro are great. They have busses for this sort of thing. Http://logicipad.com/
When we’re adding effects in the BandLab mobile app, we don’t have the search option for presets.
I really need to get back in to BandLab. I’m a little out of practice.
❤️👍
