Checo Perez has fallen off since he became a Red Bull driver. 2024 is where that became evident. His Destructors Championship position also shows that.
2024 is the accumulation of how money-hungry Red Bull is and how incompetent Checo is. Imagine clashing with Liam Lawson from their 'team B', trying to overtake him from a horribly difficult position, causing contact and damage to his car (a hole on the rear right part of his sidepod). And he blamed Liam for hia stupidity. And Red Bull still dares to keep this guy just because of the market in America. As a logical person, I really don't get this decision.
The unexpected flop is sargeant imo. That guy was kicked out of nowhere by james. I was surprised to hear the news. But I won't let him make me changed my mind from the fact that Kimi Raikonnen is the coolest driver of all time.
Biggest flops and only list recent drivers. who weren't even that big of a flop. Perez, biggest flop? Are you having a laugh? A man with 275 starts in F1. Know the difference between form and talent. I think you need to do some actual research and not just start in 2023. Shocking
I feel like Perez has been handing onto his seat through sponsorship alone and the fact that having a better teammate would ruffle Verstappen feathers! It has been very commonly agreed that he is not up to par for the cars characteristics, at the same time RedBull want to keep their status quo to keep team dynamics. It really seems now that they are not dominating and people have been Wooing their driver to come join other teams with Neiwy leaving that they have gotten aggressive with looking for a replacement for him. Which ironically their poor treatment of teammates in the past will possibly leave Redbull without a top level driver for a short while if Verstappen leaves. At least from my own observations I'm not expert of how the paddock politics plays out!
Yeah realistically after this season Perez should’ve lost his seat, but factors outside of his on track performances kept him in it, will be interesting to see how next season goes though…
@ThrottleTalkTV I think it will all depend on verstappen ultimately and who he is happy with. They are obsessed with their driving program but ironically all the people who burned out as his teammates before have thrived in other teams and who is left are not up to standard. I can't see who they'd replaced him with at this point aside from a longshot ultimate teammate Bottas for memes 😂 Yes there is lawson but even he feels like a wildcard who maybe would be too soon to pair up with him. The biggest issue with redbull in my opinion is their lack of patience as they are always looking for the next Vettel or Verstappen rather than team performance it feels.
Mixed feelings about this list.... De Vries had to deal with a car that even the team described as undrivable in the first half of the season. Still should have done better and at least be closer to Tsunoda, but after only 10 races.....that was rather harsh. Checo.....he has had good results. But it seems like a recurring trend that after a decent start of the season he starts fumbling, and seemingly cracks under the pressure to get back to good results. Just like anyone I would be very surprpised if he's still in the car next season. He had a good run but his time seems over now. Sargeant on the other hand.....look, as a rookie you can cut him some slack. But he just kept making mistakes, and not for a moment came close to what Albon did with the same car. After Goatifi everyone expect something better, and Logan just wasn't. I am missing Stroll here. The guy has shown he can actually drive, but he just keeps underperforming, and worse, keeps making really stupid mistakes. If not for daddy he would have been long gone. And maybe Zhou. His rookie year was okay, nothing spectecular but at least didn't make stupid mistakes. But after that, he never managed to improve. Sure, the car is terrible, but where Bottas is still trying it just seems like Zhou has long given up.
logan wasnt a flop because we expected nothing of him p4 rookie season in f2 is good but to young for f1 for him, also indycar suit him better than f1 f2 or f3.
Checo helped Max win his first WC in 2021 with himself ending in 4th. Checo was 3rd in 2022. Checo gave RBs first 1-2 championship in 2023. Have the other 2 races done the same for their team? In 2024 he has had some challenges, but look at all the crap that decrepit racist Helmut Marko has constantly said about Checo in his Austrian show. When you have someone like that old fart continuedly crapping on you, it is hard to be at the top level. that old piece of crap likes to play mind games with the redbull second seat pilots specially Checo. Hemlut got his ass beaten by Pedro Rodriguez and i truly believe he has been holding that grudge against. Lest not forget The engineering team holds control of a drivers car including power output once brought up by Lewis Hamilton who during a race he was not satisficed with his car and asked the engineers if they had limited his power. F1 nowadays has become what boxing is - fake just for the $$$. Back to your video theme about Formula 1's biggest flop - Have you heard of Nicholas Latifi...Lance Stroll? Did they accomplish any of the things Checo has done during his time in RB?
Why do we say that, he hasn’t even debuted in F1 yet? I mean I do agree I think it’s a maybe a bit too early for him but we can’t really confirm anything now
At least Nyck is doing good with TGR in WEC.
Very true, outside of F1 Nyck has been doing well

1:45 a man who doesn't know what a Kilometre is 💀
Perez was right about Redbull cars being awful since day 1,Redbull didn't listen to him
And that's why Verstappen so angry at Hungary. Red Bull didn't listen to him and Perez about the car.
And it’s biting Redbull hard right now
@@SwaggyDr1pL0rd not anymore, and it's not because of perez
Toto was right. Checo did say the car was fucked, He had it printed out.
Please explain to me why Perez has 151 points and Verstappen has 393 points in the 2024 driver standings then
Alright Nyck placed third in the WEC and second at Le Mans is pretty impressive

100% couldn’t agree more, but I’d put my money on Lawson for next year, let’s we how it goes

Stroll needs to be booted out, but daddy’s money keeps him driving in F1.
Danny Ric.
so glad people are on perez’s side, they’re aware redbull didn’t listen to perez complaining about the car

Bro leave him alone
Mazepin
He is terrible, but tbf nobody actually expected him to be any good 😂 I think we had pretty high expectations for these guys compared to Mazispin
@@ThrottleTalkTV that’s why he is a flop tho
