Shad is smart. He makes them suffer and dodges the bullet 🤣
What is a lord without his knights to protect him from the horrors of this world.
Yes
shad has suffered enough, he needs a rest for his mental health xD
Pro gamer Shad move~!
He might be there for the next episode, I think he was actually sick for this recording
I thought shehulk was the worst show there was but oh boy Velma taught me that the bar can always be lower
The bar can ALWAYS go lower.
Einstein was wrong about the only infinite things being the universe and the depths of human stupidity. There's self-aggrandizement, narcissism, pandering, and failure.
The legend of the subterrainian bar.
XD they keep getting out shovels and pick axes to try to go lower
They literally just want to appeal to one group of watchers bankruptcy at its finest
At this point I’m feeling that people just want to set new records in stupidity
“Night gathers, and now my watch begins." Hang in there fellas.
"For the writing is BAD,and full of errors"
"Knights gather, and our watch begins again..."
Velma: The show so bad, some Leftists on twitter actually admitted defeat via literally crafting a 4D chess style conspiracy theory as a cope..
Hilarious if true
"Psy-op"
Nice. Would like to hear that one
@@Kanudelgruber It is true, they are claiming that Mindy is secretly Far Right and made the show bad on purpose.....
911, JFK assassination, Cvd Vax, Roswell........Velma 🤣
They actually think Mindy Kaling is secretly a conservative who intentionally made Velma bad to validate what "right wing" folk think of liberal media. No joke, this is the level of copium Velma has them smoking. High as Brandon's smartest kid
"Spoilers" implies the show is spoilable as opposed to straight up horrible
To be fair, I think it’s smart that they start non spoiler regardless of how bad something is. It means that people who are trying to decide weather to watch something or not can listen to them and then, hopefully, decide not to lol
It's already a spoiled, rancid pile of feces on the side of the road
Ooooh that rhymed
There were so many “stereotypes” Velma discussed that I’ve never heard of… Like how she said “only lesbians make good detectives” or that “drunk mothers on the verge of losing custody were the only people solving murders these days”.. WHAT
Bruh that was weird, because I like mystery shows and detectives, and I was trying to think of any show that sounded like those two things. Maybe it's foreshadowing? Like they will just say "Daphnes moms figured out the case"
Same. I'm not as into crime dramas or legal procedural shows like I used to be so maybe I've just missed out on something more recent, but for the life of me I can't think of what stories they were supposed to be referring to.
You have to understand that these fucking people are trained to "perceive" stereotypes. Consider JK Rowling's goblins and Dungeons & Dragons Orcs.
@@EF-fc4du oh yeah, those arguments that make most average people go "...wait what are you talking about?"
Yeah, I've never heard of those so-called "stereotypes"- Mindy Kaling must live in such a strange, sad, awful little world of her own.
"This show is made for Mindy Kaling."
Hit the nail on the head. This is her animated fanfic.
That is offensive to fan fic writers everywhere.
@@msmaria5039 It's okay. I'm a fanfic writer. I'm allowed.
(ᵔᴥᵔ)
@@whiterabbit75 Okay.
@@msmaria5039 To be fair, there are fanfic writers who have produced some truly vile, spiteful fics that ought to be called hate fics. They just didn't get animated series for their hatefulness.
@@AnnaMarianne And they aren't as racist or sexist either lol.
“Panic attacks, delusions, which is pretty typical of your average Californian.” 💯 describes Hollywoke.
Yeah, except actual panic attacks are way worse than those pathetic little meltdowns you see from those clowns. It's insulting to people, who actually suffer from them.
The underage nudity of the show is really telling on what there real motives are. Where's all the Twitter people mad that they are making underage cartoons do this stuff. They do it for anime all the time.
Hey that little childlike anime girl is a pixie she always looks like a child but shes 3000 years old seeeee totally fine lol
@@mikeg5039 I get that lol. But at least anime has the decency to make them actual adults not juat still have them be kids.
Underage nudity in itself isn't illegal to depict. Sexual acts involving minors is. So long as there was none of that there is no issue with that shown other than perhaps in the imagination of the viewer. Beyond that, as the setting is a high school it is plausible all characters shown nude were 18 years old, which I expect would be claimed should the scene be challenged. It's not anime so there is no reason to it expect it will be treated similarly.
@@kevinarnold8634 And even depictions of sexual acts aren't illegal in the US, unless they're of someone who can be identified.
If it was illegal in the US, Loli content would get you banned off Twitter. It does not.
@@kevinarnold8634 It’s a grown-up cartoon, with a 15yo shower scene, and that’s the hill you want to die on? Clearly it’s sexual, because it serves no other purpose. That scene is clearly catering to people like you.
"The bar was so low it was practically a tripping hazard in hell, yet here Velma is, limbo dancing with the devil"
- a sick burn I can't remember exactly where I read once but lives rent free in my head
No wonder why Velma is a murder suspect, Velma is actively insane.
This show is the epitome of: “But wait, there’s more!”
Just like RoP. "Okay, ep 1&2 were just set up." Then ep 3 came out. "We're just getting into the story, just wait." Then it ended and Amazon was like "Watch it a second time, there's good stuff you missed!" Now it's "Be sure to rewatch season 1 before you watch season 2!"
I believe it's deliberate, think about it, this is turning the ""woke"" dial way past 11 in order to parody it.
Similar to the Karen movie.
@@Lundarian1 I think you're giving the people behind this so waaaaay too much credit, leftists aren't self aware enough to do this deliberately.
@@d34dj3d1 It's becoming more and more likely that Kaling did this deliberately. I tend to believe it.
@@bigguy7353 ok you keep thinking that....
Shad’s medical coverage for these guys is going to have to include a trip to a therapist once a month. 😂
Poor guys, hang in there!
hopefully not a Californian therapist.
Even in Australia it never hurts to be cautious.
Based on just this episode, I have one question: Why the fuck would these people work together to solve crimes? "Hey, Velma, remember that time you attacked me in the school shower with a cane?" 'Hey, Velma, remember when you got me falsely imprisoned?' "Hey, Velma, remember when you didn't even let me down easy?"
So true, I really liked her in A Pup name Scooby Doo she was sooo cute.
Episode 2
You deserve hazard pay for reviewing this show.
....and a long cold shower.
This show is like that game where people chant "how low can you go" but everyone always manage to go lower.
You mean ... god you suddenly made me forget what it was called.. ik we did it as a skating rink where theres the stick and the stick holder thing that can be adjusted to go lower and lower, remember almost breaking my ankles as a kid trying to squeeze in

They can replace waterboarding with this show. And it will be even crueler
It's like the big corporations have a pool going to see who can make the worst, wokest show with a beloved franchises. And they just keep one upping each other. HOW?!
Honestly that is kind of what’s going on, in truth. It doesn’t matter how much people rip these shows apart, because the people making them have enough arrogance and pride that they just triple down on every criticism.
@@Kale13000 People still view the shows just to criticize them
Having just escaped L.A... Unfortunately, far too many kids are like that there. Our foster daughter was going to the performing arts magnet high school and despite severe childhood abuse and abandonment, she was more functional than half her class. I'm sure the magnet school aspect was attracting these types of kids, because JV wasn't this bad. But the teens are RADICALLY different where we live now.
Please remember that scenario when you vote. The situation you described is even worse than what I thought was happening in California. Hope your foster daughter improves drastically.
When demons are punished in hell, this show is what they are forced to watch
I think even the devil would be terrified
You know, listen to all this makes me feel better about my own writing.

@@Eidolon1andOnly I'm trying my hand at a blackpowder fantasy. I was doing a sci-fi but being a massive hisotry nerd I decided for the fantasy route. A bit more grounded in reality (no magic) but still having elves and stuff (the races of Man and Fey if you will, they share a common ancestor before splitting off into their respective genus they are in that day and age).
Or any writing....toilet stalls are now Shakespeare in comparison.
A true Velma prequel would have her studying ancient Aztec and hanging out with professors. The gang was always visiting her professor friends. And I don’t remember them ever breaking into a house, they were always invited in.
Finally a show that makes shaggy and scooby doo get a clue look good
It was funny regardless
Even enough to make Scrappy Doo more lovable than diversity hire Velma
I'd forgotten this one even existed...
I remember watching this show on Saturday mornings. I liked it as a kid, haven't seen it since
I already liked Scooby and Shaggy.
I sat through all the new fantasy garbage that all looks the same. But this show... My depression was so heightened, I legit thought I would express it via property damage.
This show is property damage.
Everyone should sue for mental abuse.
Mindy if you wanted a personal TV show with you in it then take it home with you and leave us out of it
and leave scooby and the gang out of it!
I was never a big fan of her character from the office
As a Californian, it’s embarrassing to know how my state is perceived. There are still a few rational members of the populace, we just need to make ourselves heard.
The bird vs crow meme.
I love that even Aussies are fully aware of how nuts most of the US coastal cities are.
When the writers - or whatever they are - don't know the difference between wit and snark, or intelligence and volume.
Written by ChatGPT ; wouldnt surprise me xD
"It's for adults!" Shows minors in sexual positions. Can you make the grooming any more obvious?
I am quite relieved that woke TV shows and movies keep on getting worse and worse. The one thing I feared was that eventually the wokies would learn that woke storytelling repels audiences and they would learn to more cleverly hide THE MESSAGE in better storytelling. Which would then be accepted by a more general audience. Instead it just keeps on getting worse. Current woke shows make Ghostbusters 2016 and The Last Jedi look like Shakespeare. It would appear that when you hire people based on DEI you only accelerate your demise. The one thing I feared was competent woke writing. Instead we get woke writing so godawfully bad it can never hope to damage the IPs they try to take over like GB 2016 and TLJ did. At least those bore some similarities to what they were trying to subvert. The current crop looks nothing like Willow, the Witcher or Scooby Do.
Praise the Lord for small favors!
.... Or maybe instead of "hiding" their "message," perhaps they can occassionally write something enjoyable.
I think it's interesting that the humanist leftists in Hollywood chide and denigrate Christians (as an example) as religious kooks who cram their beliefs down others' throats for proselytizing, and yet they peddle their humanist, woke BS in everything they do, and they'll attack you mercilessly if you disagree with any part of their dogma. They not only believe their propaganda, it is their identity. It's their faith. They are wild-eyed, frothing-at-the-mouth zealots for the woke cause. They are as religious, pious, and sanctimonious as any Christian, and i marvel at their inability to recognize those qualities in their own thinking.
The difference between leftist religiosity and Christianity is that when practiced conscientiously, according to its core precepts, Christianity is a productive and beneficial philosophy and system of beliefs, and has been for over 2,000 years; but far-leftist zealotry inevitably leads to self- and social destruction. Show me a nation that has indulged in leftism for any length of time, and i'll show you a conquered nation. No leftist or socialist world power will stand, because tyranny is inherently destructive.
Leftism is societal narcissism, and the only time leftism is innocuous is when it is tempered with reason and free-thinking. That's true for most things, but especially the radical thought that leftism requires.
California... you fear to go into those mines. The writers delved too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Hollywood... shadow and flame.
To be fair, this show has the greatest scooby doo villain twist of all time. The writer was the monster the whole time!
Cultural vandalism of this scale needs to be a punishable crime.
The only genuine human reaction from any of the characters in this series was when Velma's mother left her insufferable daughter.
I had a friend called rayan in high school. He’d run two gummy bears together and laugh saying they where having sex and he was the only guy I know that would laugh out loud at ads in the cinema. This is like what he’d make
Mystery Incorporated (from 2010) was a much better mature take on the scooby gang. Heck, the live action movies come off as more mature and better written than this show. I’d even suggest ANY of the early spinoffs (to which there are a lot and they do not hold up as well) before I would ever suggest anyone try watching this.
The bar was so low it was practically a tripping hazard in hell and yet here you are, limbo dancing with the devil.
"Don't make us watch more" Sorry, that ship has sailed. You guys are professionals now. Gird your loins (before Velma cuts them off), grin and bear it, for you're still providing a public service.
Even the Drinker said he wasn't going to touch this show, and he can always rely on the whiskey to get him through the worst stuff.
What can *you* do? You guys are truly screwed, aren't ya?
Is this where we'll finally get to see our good and pious Knights Watch abandon Mormon for Jim Beam? :P
Nah, Paladin classes get a +2 defence against Unholy attacks so they've got a little more resistance than Drinker
Even if they met on the job they still would not be allowed to be partners.
It would compromise their judgement if they ever got into a hostile situation.
This is why Shad had to hire more people. So he can duck out when the really bad shit comes out.
They think they’re making these shows for the mythical “modern audience”, however they’re lazy by nature, therefore these shows are really written to appeal to their personal LA sensibilities.
Thank you noble knights for explaining this. It is part of a demoralization campaign to create ambient stress. And most importantly, understand that you make a big difference by acknowledging the corruption because evil hides in the vague unknown. Well done . Stay strong people!
"Hashtags don't exist in fantasy shows." But what if. . .
Next season on Willow!
It's funny because this show Velma is claiming to be an origin story, so at some point she's going to have to explain how and why Velma decided to bleach her skin.
The reason Daria worked with the sarcastic smart girl trope is that she had flaws , took criticism and grew as a person. Something these writers seemed to have forgotten
Californian here. I would like to formally apologize for what my state has done to entertainment.
I'm not a sadist, but I'm glad you guys did this.
Three of the bravest men on the internet.
In the words of The Little Platoon, "Velma has it's good points. It is COMPLETE garbage and doesn't even attempt to sucker you in to waste your hard-earned time."
You should force Shad to watch this just so you can spread the pain.
_"You guys don't have to watch any more episodes of Velma."_ Is something I will never say. 😈
The truth is, past shows were always also subversive.
Take Scooby Doo. It's practically a popular online meme factory.
Because a lot of thought went into what seemed like a "normal" show.
Even at face value, Scooby Doo taught you that everything that seems scary and spooky and supernatural HAS a natural scientific explanation.
And all you needed was a clear head, wits and persistence.
It's literally a show based on Occam's Razor.
And they always had a very democratic/social justice theme with the greedy villain always going to prison because his greed became his undoing.
But that's isn't enough for these lunatic left wing cretins.
More Velma! You need to at least reach the part where they introduce Norville's new friend.
Your sacrifice is noted. Do not feel the need to continue to watch. If you want to watch the destruction of another IP, watch National Treasure the series. DO NOT WATCH VELMA!
You really don't need to review this. It's a nobody show and no one should watch it.
But watching them suffer is very enjoyable
Police regulations: no intimacy or relationships allowed.
Rules only apply to the ones who follow them...
“This feels like California the episode”. Lol!!!
The pain in this video reminds me of the Passion of the Christ. It is just so vivid that it is painful to watch. God bless these crusaders and good luck with your PTSD
Shad needs to find and hire a good therapist for these guys.
He IS the therapist for these guys. He gives them swords and go hit things in the Shadlands
@@adamjenkins7653 True 🤣

This is already the WORST show of the year, AND IT'S ONLY JANUARY!
Yeah Mindy’s Dad should’ve swallowed when they had the chance so it could’ve saved us from the headache of this show
Umm... Dad? Think you mean her mom... Gross
This show makes no sense. How did these people become friends if they're incompatible with each other.
As a Californian I have to say they got a part right, the police would break in and shoot the homeowner in the knees to protect the burglar here.
If 'Blue Bloods', or 'Chicago Fire/PD', are any indication, two people from the same precinct/firehouse hooking up would be frowned upon, so if they did develop a relationship 'on the job', that still wouldn't be OK...
I feel so sorry for these guys, they don't deserve this torment, none of us do
I recently learned about the physical theory of false vacuum decay.
Basically, a tiny part of space goes from "pretty much zero" to a previously inconceivable low.
That starts a chain reaction, which spreads at the speed of light, fundamentally and irreversibly altering everything in its wake
This feels… familiar.
Velma is the most evil piece of media I have ever seen in my life, and I watched Serbian film.
Blaming all of California ain't a good thing
Anyone else remember Mystery Incorporated? Good times.
when you go to hell you are strapped to a chair forced to binge watch velma for eternity
You really didnt have to watch it guys. Save yourselves
Now I understand why we don't see the other knights.
This is torture for the poor lads and ladies. They must have left to a farm to escape all this.
I’ve never seen a show so hated to the point it’s hard to find anyone have a positive review for it

Awake o sleepers heed the call and join the Watch.
Oh yeah. "Do what thou wilt" is the watchword of Satanic Hollywood.
Yes, and it's being packaged up for children. Would be nice to see a little more in-depth investigation of the individuals behind the show here, ?
The investigation would be more prudent at this point to search for filmmakers that DON'T have background connections.

as a central Californian I take offense to California the episode. this is litterally for no one.
Couldn't they just call the show Mindy. Ok I gotta go get my new funkos, yeah! Also I gotta buy a new shelf to fit them. I also don't know which ones to buy?
Velma is what happens is when an awful person puts as much of themselves into every little detail of their work.
Raw talent and hard work isn't enough when you're an awful person, and Mindy Kaling is unquestionably awful on the inside.
Ring of power- I'm going to piss off countless of fans...
Velma... hold my glasses.
Velma is the stuff of nightmares.
I keep hoping to wake up from the nightmare. You know...the one where the tails of the bell curve drive the bus?
It has an audience rating of 6% now... I have never seen such a low rating! That box of popcorn next to the audience score should be non-existent!
Never underestimate how bad shows can be, 2022 even up to now is basically "How Low Can You Go?" In a nutshell. Turns out it's pretty low, the bar is buried in the ground at this point.
This show is a legitimate argument for nuking California
So many "Noughs" I feel like Fringy has possessed this episode. 😆
38:30 It is illegal to arrest someone in his home without an arrest warrant or the cops witnessing a crime. This is according to the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution. Shooting Fred could be viewed as excessive force. They may have thought he had a gun, but in that case, they should have shot to kill, not to wound. If he did have a gun, he could still use it while injured. These are not nit-picks, just common sense for Americans.
Did I understand correctly that they never proved Fred killed the girl? How then is this case closed? The original Scooby-Doo always proved beyond a reasonable doubt to the cops that the criminal was responsible. The bad guy usually confessed too when caught.
In an era of 1/10 TV shows, one has risen above all others to be the worst show ever made. It's actually kind of impressive.
velma has "raised" the bar... its 1/100 now
@@MrSuckeragi Oh I consider Velma a 0/10. I reserve 0 for the worst thing of a category in my own personal ratings - Velma is without a doubt the worst thing I have ever watched. I almost threw my phone reflexively when it got to the naked pregnant lady bit.
12:10 Impossible in the US, while you can be in the same precinct they wouldn't be going to the interrogation room together. Police in the US can't have a relationship with other police officers in their direct chain of command. When a relationship happens in a precinct either 1 officer has to be transferred to another precinct or another chain of command if they remain in the same precinct.
13:42 You can arrest somebody with no evidence or even cause actually, but you can only hold them for one day when doing so before you have to formally assign charges.
I saw the trailer and knew it wasn’t for me. Instead, I’m going back to watch all the classic shows and movies instead. I would rather watch a series with friends who like solving mysteries together than a bunch of bad meta jokes and characters who hate being around each other
To add to all the examples of stuff that's better than this: Venture Bros had a parody of the Scooby-Doo gang as secondary characters for an episode or two, and even that brief appearance had more recognizable versions of the characters and actual storytelling. (Venture Bros was a good show overall by the way)
The Supernatural Scooby Doo crossover was better than this.
I'm also partial to the episode of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law which had Shaggy and Scooby facing drug charges. (Explains why they had the "munchies" all the time...) It was a subversive riff on them, sure, but it feels rather quaint in comparison.
I am sorry, but: Worst show in history so far!
That shower sequence is disgusting. The fact that it's the first thing you see of the show proper says everything.
What's new Scooby Doo?
We're coming after you
You're gonna solve that mystery
I see you Scooby Doo
The trail leads back to you
What's new Scooby Doo?
