The other side of the board also seems to address the color contrast concern - the path stands out more thanks to the additional shading the side you PLAYED did not have 👍
I haven't had a chance to play it, but based on what I saw in your video, the black and white theme on teh game board would be a slight turnoff for me as well. Love those custom dice though, and the idea of drafting a card and the dice that go with it! Enjoyed the quick review :)
Yeah, black and white art is always a weird choice, IMO. One of the unfortunate side effects is that even after editing all that footage, I couldn't picture a single piece of card art in my head, if you asked me to recall one... It's a shame about the board, because the card and dice drafting/mechanisms are really fun! (BTW, you'll probably notice a Harbor Loot dice tray being used on the table... 😉)
@@BoardGameCasualChannel I have not. The box looked so striking at the LGS but all the reviews are middle of the road like yours. The gameboard just feels "unfinished", wondering if the other side changes things up
@vids For sure--I definitely want to give it a try. It's a shame because the card and dice system is so fun, but the game board (and the wooden components) seem so poorly thought through... That said, it's still a fun game overall.

Thanks for the review
I hope you revisit and play the other side of the board.
For sure! Have you played it?
