Hi y’all! This vlog was much later than usual. Everything is okay! I had a very rough night, followed by my pain management procedure this morning. So I spent most of the day sleeping off the sedation and taking it easy. We also had no internet for quite a while which prohibited me from uploading. But, all is well! Also, the new “Diagnosis Discussion” videos were filmed over the past few weeks, lol I did not do it all today even though I am wearing the same shirt. :P
Chronically Jaquie I'm living the videos! Very educational and so entertaining! I even got my husband into watching y'all's videos cause it helps him understand what I go through when he's at work or when we're in hospital for my health. Your videos have helped make a huge difference for me and help educate me so much!
I knew you had a bunch of stuff going on, plus GP so I just figured you needed a break. Something I know all too well. I’m trying to recover from needing to go to the ER on Friday for dehydration. Yeah GP sucks...it’s also the perfect excuse for a “lying in bed watching tv while working” day.
The look on your face after changing your feeding tube was priceless. I know exactly how it feels to accomplish something like that for yourself. And Judd is such a wonderful, supportive partner. It is a joy to watch the two of you together.
I think it is so funny and adorable when Harlow looks at you before she puts her toy away like "Mommy, do I REALLY have to put this away I was having so much fun"! lol :D
This playlist definitely helped a lot. I’m 14 and I have just been diagnosed with gastroparesis and my doctors are going to put a j feeding tube in and I’m terribly nervous but this gave me more information about all of it. I knew there was something wrong with my eating before. I wasn’t ever hungry and when I would eat or drink I would throw up. Over the past week I have lost over 15 pounds. But thanks for being you and educating more and more about service dogs and chronic illnesses
Hi! A more painless alternative to the salt would be honey! It will work as an osmotic agent as well, drawing out excess water from the tissue. Give it a try and let me know if it works. Commonly used in medicine as an osmotic agent to draw fluid from bacteria, aiding as an antibacterial agent.
Really loved a lot of your diagnosis videos. I know sometimes when we describe symptoms to others, people can quickly go, "Oh wait! I do that! Do I have [insert condition here]?!" And, they mean well of course. I just wanted to chime in for anyone thinking they have narcolepsy/cataplexy just bc they too have EDS, etc. A LOT of us have sleep issues and extreme fatigue. But, not only that, a lot of us with MCAS can have masto attacks while eating, sudden temperature changes, or even laughter, too. And, it can make a lot of us have such severe respiratory depression it makes us fall asleep in our food, or just be unable to move. This is different from what Jaquie's describing though. But, if you're someone who really identifies with Jaq, you may wanna consider that it's a product of mast cell and/or dysautonomia that trigger mast cell. It can mimic a lot of the sudden onset of exhaustion, or even falling asleep at the table. Hope that helps anyone who felt like it sounded familiar. Check in with yourself to see if that sounds more right before delving in to sleep studies and meds and other things. There's a good chance that they're quite different from what Jaquie was describing even if it sounded familiar.
Chronically Hopeful -- Me too! (And MCAS) It took me awhile to realize my sudden exhaustion spells were part of mast cell attacks suppressing the CNS/ANS and knocking me out. It's a common experience in that group of people, but many others with just dysautonomia (or both) can have similar issues in response to sudden temperature changes, anxiety, stress, etc. It sorta overcorrects to a perceived threat or releases the wrong hormones and suddenly we're zonked. Regulation isn't its strong suit ;) It's a very unique thing, no doubt. I have fallen asleep in my oatmeal and even my coffee too many times to count in my lifetime 😂😂😂 Darn you, warm liquids!!
Jaquie, if you need non sterile gloves for your button changes, Amazon has some that are latex free. The reason I am saying this is because I also have small hands and only Amazon has extra small gloves that are latex free! 💜
Hi Jaquie, I hope today's appointment for your injections, etc. went well and that you are now resting comfortably (or asleep, haha) at Janiece and Paul's place. I just wanted to thank you for putting up the videos in your Diagnosis Discussion series. They are very helpful and informative. I am always so impressed with you being such a young lady. You are very well-spoken and speak very clearly and effectively. I am thoroughly enjoying the videos, though I wish you didn't have to live with them! I'm looking forward to your vlogs during your trip. As I mentioned before, I hope today went well and that you are resting comfortably tonight. xoxox Heather🇨🇦
You did beautifully! :D I've only seen that done once when I worked in a gastroenterology ward but that was a long time ago. You're such a beautiful family and oh my goodness, I love Harlow so much. :D
Omg i just love Harlow, she is so funny, when she came with the ranch dressing 😂😂😂 and when you kiss her on the nose 😂😂😂 Hugs from Josefine from Denmark
Omg I laughed so hard when she brought you the salad dressing instead of the water bottle. I understand why she did it from the last time she did it but it's still funny everytime!
Jacquie, I want to thank you for your videos. Great job changing your tube! Do you just put the tube in anywhere, or is there a specific angle you need to get it in the "correct" place? That salt trick is interesting and makes sense. Glad it worked. Good job Nurse Judd! Kisses was just too adorable. I just discovered your discussion series and am loving it. That must have been exhausting, as it looks like you did them all at once, based on the shirt you're wearing. Lol. You are an excellent communicator. I love the succinct information you give. You hit all the points without going overboard on details that may be overwhelming to some. I am always too words...this post, case in point. Lol. Your narcolepsy info was perfect timing and a great refresher for me. My son is having his fourth sleep study with mslt for his narcolepsy, next week. His last was about six years ago and he's had changes. Would it be possible to share the name of your nighttime narcolepsy med, or is that too personal? Thanks again for everything. Brilliant job. Wearing your shirt to work tomorrow to discuss chronic illness with my nursing students💗 take care.
Great Job!! You and Jud are awesome!! I love that you do things even when nervous to keep your independence! I think you are such an amazing and strong woman!! Hope u have a wonderful and blessed day!🙏😊
That reminded me of the first time I changed my pierced earrings. I was nervous too. You did a good job on this video and also on your new gastroparesis video. Good luck with your travels.
I completely understand the battle that you have to go through being chronically sick. My son just turned 2 in April and when he was 3 months old we found out he had a enlarged heart that couldnt pump the blood through in left arterial to through the body. He was life flighted to Duke Childrens Hospital in Durham North Carolina. 24 hrs after that we found out he was born with a genetic disease that me and his father are carriers for that is called Infantile Onset Pompe Disease which is a nueromuscular disease. Which effects all muscles and organs of the body. In his case it was the cause for his heart conditions which is like 7 different things thats wrong with his heart. An enlarged tongue and he had his tongue clipped at 2 weeks old which we regret cause he wasnt tongue tied. And on top of that he cant eat on his without aspirating silently he cant walk or crawl yet he cant talk yet hes about 7 to 8 months behind in everything. So to him hes still 1 yrs old even though hes 2 now. Yes it can change through therapy which he gets that he has progressed and done wonderful in but its going to take time. So he has infusions weekly and IVIG monthly. Plus his two heart medicines that he has one is twice a day and the other three times a day and they both have to stay cold at all times. The disease he has is very fatal and can take him whenever his body feels like it doesnt want his infusion to work. So in the mean time we play spoil and keep him happy. We will pray for you. How did you come about on the beautiful well trained service dog. If you have time to be able to respond that would be great. Thanks so much. Blessings to you.
Thank you Harlow, I needed that.🤗 I laughed so much. Something I haven’t done in awhile. I also hope the new size works so much better for you. Lastly, I think I’ve worked out where you are going on your trip but I won’t say anything yet.😜
I watched your Diagnoses videos- great updated version! With your POTS/Dystautonomia, how long or how far can you usually go before needing to sit/lie down to avoid syncope? I wasn't addressed in the video and I was wondering as a fellow POTS warrior
Glad that you were just dealing with the new normal and sleeping and resting. As long as no blood, I find tube changes and medical stuff fascinating....... when i'm not involved:p Oh Harlow.. lol Stay safe Judd
I just want to say that you look really good in that shade of blue! I know you love pink, and don't get me wrong it looks good on you, but blue fits you too!
I have an idea for Harlow grabbing the wrong things sometimes.... Fill that whole section with only water bottles and maybe put the sauces further back so Harlow will always grab the right thing👍🏻 Just an Idea I had, my dog is in training as well..
All the thumbnails for your new information videos are so cute! (Also thank you for the video spam 😂) I love seeing training sessions!! Do you ever train her when she’s not really focusing, like out in public for if you scratch your arms to test and make sure she does it at random times? (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, I’m half asleep lol)
Hi Jaquie, I got a g tube a couple of months ago and I’m afraid to get my g tube site wet from the shower. I don’t know how you do it, and I always make showers seem more difficult than it has to.
Yes, there is a slim chance the balloons can pop. It's not common but I have had it happen to me once. It doesn't hurt just feels weird and you can hear the pop.
I wish my tube change could be this simple because of my condition there’s a lot of inflammation inside the stoma hole and on the surface so everytime I need gas so I can’t feel it🙄
It's about time you should have used sulfate Matches I believe that is what it's called you wet them and they active then you apply it around your g.tube to burn down the area to keep the skin from over grow the tube it doesn't hurt at all I used them on my disabled son it never tried to grow over again since I hope I'm explaining it right
Have you tried bacterban cream or metircin the other name. I use it for raw skin that's infected for something other than gt. It helps with healing and infection. Not sure if those names are spelled right.
Maybe try sugar instead of salt next time if you havent tried that yet? It should have the same effect on the granulation tissue without the pain but also with anti-bacterial benefits
music dreamer hi! Just in case she doesn't respond I wanted to give you a bit of advice I learned. You can make a hypertonic salt soak at home that's meant to help. Mix 2 teaspoons of table salt with 1 cup of warm water in a clean cup or bowl until the salt dissolves. Cut a V shape into a piece of gauze (so you can wrap it around) and soak the piece of gauze in the salt water. Place the wet gauze on the skin around the feeding tube and leave it there until the gauze cools. This will take about 5 to 10 minutes. Do not let the gauze dry. If the gauze is too dry, it may pull at the stoma and cause pain when being removed. I did a quick Google search and compared results and this method seems consistent with the method I personally know, but if anyone knows of better alternatives they're always free to correct me.
Chronically Jaquie hi jaquie. Thank you so much. I love you so much and use your training tips on my service dog. Thanks for all your videos. They've helped me so much!!!
Food from your stomach can still pass through your small intestine OK I guess, even though it's been cut apart to form the chimney for the feeding tube?
Was the yellowing on the old tube from digestion juices or from the formula or from it just being inside of your body? Also good luck on your traveling I know it's hard for me driving 2 or so hours.
I think the water bottle is more difficult to pick up than the ranch bottles with a long neck, also she probably can smell which one is more delicious, and decided to bring you that haha
Bryanna Gates omg I was thinking the same thing! I saw a prolapsed umm 🤔 "organ" on a show they put sugar on it to absorb moisture and shrink it down and gently shoved it back in. It wasn't a human's organ but from a living species that shares many of the same organs. 🙄😐
1:05 You have actually. 3:47 Might it be better to put something on the bottle that Harlow can easily recognize? 7:13 Could it ever be too much, Judd? 9:05 It can still be weird.

I just love Harlow’s sweet face. Tucker, says hi to her.
The look on your face after changing your feeding tube was priceless. I know exactly how it feels to accomplish something like that for yourself. And Judd is such a wonderful, supportive partner. It is a joy to watch the two of you together.
You don't need to ever say that a video is late. We understand you are sick. After all, you are kind enough to post everyday. xoxo
Lynn Amidon I agree ❤️
Lynn Amidon also I have Gastroparesis like her and I’m glad she is their for all of us who have Gastroparesis and other things
Lynn Amidon and that she teaches us and shows how she lives with her chronic ilneeses
Thank you!!!!
Lynn Amidon 👍
It’s such a relief to see you almost independent with all of these advancements for you.
Claire Elizabeth ❤️
I guess Harlow thought you would need Italian dresssing instead of Ranch today! lol! She makes me laugh!
So many videos at once! Yay! I'mma be busy for a little catching up on all these. It's always good to be educated :)
I feel like Harlow does that stuff on purpose to make u feel better.
Zoey 44 😂 Harlow is the best 😍 she is so funny, sweet and so good she Can make Jaquie smile ( and all of os to 👍 )
I think it is so funny and adorable when Harlow looks at you before she puts her toy away like "Mommy, do I REALLY have to put this away I was having so much fun"! lol :D
I always think she's saying that too! She's adorable. It's like she just needs to check that mommy reeeeeeally means it.
I just love the memory of you as a dog as a kid. I feel like that’s why you and Harlow are so amazing together!
That tube change was so cool!

You are doing such a good job explaining all the illnesses in your diagnosis discussion video's. I think you are a really good speaker!
Thank you for so many new videos. I was sick all night. It is so nice to lay on the couch and watch all the new videos.
Really loved a lot of your diagnosis videos. I know sometimes when we describe symptoms to others, people can quickly go, "Oh wait! I do that! Do I have [insert condition here]?!" We all miss you so much
Thank you Harlow, I needed that.🤗 I laughed so much. Something I haven’t done in awhile.
I also hope the new size works so much better for you.
Lastly, I think I’ve worked out where you are going on your trip but I won’t say anything yet.😜
I can tell Harlow enjoys working
Thank you so much Jaquie for showing us changeing you g tube and awesome video 😊❤️
You are such an inspiration. Much love and healing your way

Every day is different, but usually a few minutes.
Glad that you were just dealing with the new normal and sleeping and resting. As long as no blood, I find tube changes and medical stuff fascinating....... when i'm not involved:p Oh Harlow.. lol Stay safe Judd
You ever think about just filling the bottom of the fridge with just water bottles so Harlow can’t bring you anything else?
S P that’s a lot of water bottles
GREAT job on changing your first button. My son has the same button :)
I just want to say that you look really good in that shade of blue! I know you love pink, and don't get me wrong it looks good on you, but blue fits you too!
Yay!! Great job, Jaquie and Judd! My goofy Baby Charlie Greyhound sends love to Harlow too xxxxxxxx
Harlow is such a great dog!!!
Really good music Jacquie! I think switching up the in video music once in a while is a great idea!
Harlow could totally be Hidden Valley's new mascot! :)
My 6 year old daughter's takeaway from this video: "So she can eat and talk at the same time without talking with her mouth full? Cool!"
Harlow's reaction was so cute lol. 😊
I have an idea for Harlow grabbing the wrong things sometimes.... Fill that whole section with only water bottles and maybe put the sauces further back so Harlow will always grab the right thing👍🏻 Just an Idea I had, my dog is in training as well..
Does anyone else love it when jaquie spams her channel with videos?
Your old tube looks so clean! My daughter uses Real Food Blends and the tube always looks darkly discolored 😑
Not really because when I am out I am trying to keep myself together lol. If I think about it I will
Chronically Jaquie Ah okay, that makes sense! :)
You're awesome! Keep living life to the fullest!
Nice job changing your tube! Woohoo!!!
I think your pup stole the show! Lol. Silly ting!
Did you get Harlow as a puppy?
Aww, Harlow brought you salad dressing. That's so cute!
Have you ever thought about putting pink food dye in your feeding formula?
Yes I have seen Mickey do it (:
Hi Jaquie, I got a g tube a couple of months ago and I’m afraid to get my g tube site wet from the shower. I don’t know how you do it, and I always make showers seem more difficult than it has to.
I don't have a feeding tube, but I read about using pure tea tree oil for GT for a piercing and it works well for me.
I think Harlow smiled a bit when she brought the dressing instead lol. She's so silly. Continued prayers!
You Rock girl. Great vlog. Harlow is so funny as well.
Can the balloon pop? Is there any precautions with pressure near the feeding tube?
Ariel Galloway it shouldn’t pop since it’s thick silicone usually
Katie Butler that's good I wondered too. But it is filled water so it should be OK.
Yes, there is a slim chance the balloons can pop. It's not common but I have had it happen to me once. It doesn't hurt just feels weird and you can hear the pop.
I'm so excited!
So excited for u!
I had a feeding tube for 8 years and never did it at home. I was terrified lol.
I wish my tube change could be this simple because of my condition there’s a lot of inflammation inside the stoma hole and on the surface so everytime I need gas so I can’t feel it🙄
I'm missing my trip to Nebraska today! I'm disappointing. I'm sick today. Again :( But I'll go next week :)
Try tea tree oil.....if that is not something that would cause and allergic reaction.
You can ask your doctor for silver nitrate a better version of the salt for your granulation tissue
I always die when she brings you the wrong bottle from the fridge 😂😂😂
It's about time you should have used sulfate Matches I believe that is what it's called you wet them and they active then you apply it around your g.tube to burn down the area to keep the skin from over grow the tube it doesn't hurt at all I used them on my disabled son it never tried to grow over again since I hope I'm explaining it right
Have you tried bacterban cream or metircin the other name. I use it for raw skin that's infected for something other than gt. It helps with healing and infection. Not sure if those names are spelled right.
harlow always makes my dad better when she brings you salad dressing instead of water!
Maybe try sugar instead of salt next time if you havent tried that yet? It should have the same effect on the granulation tissue without the pain but also with anti-bacterial benefits
Hey jaquie. I have BAD gt and want to try the salt. What kind of salt did you use
music dreamer hi!
I used regular salt we had on the table
Chronically Jaquie hi jaquie. Thank you so much. I love you so much and use your training tips on my service dog. Thanks for all your videos. They've helped me so much!!!
Tayler Nicole thanks. Will definantly try this tonight!!!
Food from your stomach can still pass through your small intestine OK I guess, even though it's been cut apart to form the chimney for the feeding tube?
Harlow is just so cute
Great Job!!!! ❤️
Odd my notifications didn’t notify me of this video it did to the other videos you posted yesterday. Sugar also helps
Wow i was nervous even watching you change it!
I Wonder if wishbones gonna out do hidden valley. .. you know. The dog got the wishbone
Where did you get your leggings!? They’re so cute!
I don't remember but probably walmart or online somewhere
Chronically Jaquie Oh ok. Thanks. Also, I can’t believe you actually replied! I’m kinda fangirling! Lol 😂
Hope you feel better soon
Salt is amazing for gt
I'm nervous just seeing you do it
First!! ❤️ love u Jaquie! ❤️❤️
Hey I love your videos. I like seeing your life keep it up (not the pain of course)
is Judd aloud to do the tube changes?
He can but I like to do it myself, just like my port
Can any one that has used them
Lol for some reason I kept thinking the balloon was like a full size birthday balloon
Was the yellowing on the old tube from digestion juices or from the formula or from it just being inside of your body? Also good luck on your traveling I know it's hard for me driving 2 or so hours.
This is how my tube in my bellybutton
I think the water bottle is more difficult to pick up than the ranch bottles with a long neck, also she probably can smell which one is more delicious, and decided to bring you that haha
perhaps placing a piece of cardboard to separate the dressing and water bottle.
Did you mean to post 4 videos today?
I posted 10
Chronically Jaquie there’s only 4
Oh I see them now. I only got notified for 4 and my playlist only shows 4. Weird.
Chronically Jaquie I just got the notifications for the others. Holy moly.
Hi!!!!!!!! Hope you are having a great day!!
Hey jaquie
I would try sugar. It might not burn.
Bryanna Gates omg I was thinking the same thing! I saw a prolapsed umm 🤔 "organ" on a show they put sugar on it to absorb moisture and shrink it down and gently shoved it back in. It wasn't a human's organ but from a living species that shares many of the same organs. 🙄😐
I saw the same video, and thought the same thing. Yup the organ had gotten rather ahh....raw from scraping on the ground.🐢
Congrats for changing it by urself at home.
1:05 You have actually.
3:47 Might it be better to put something on the bottle that Harlow can easily recognize?
7:13 Could it ever be too much, Judd?
9:05 It can still be weird.
What about autism?
I already have a video on it, so I did not feel rushed to make a new one right away. I want to do an updated one though
Careful you don't get peritonitis.
I did and almost died. Talk to your doctor about any possibilities
