Good video. Grew up here most of my life, owned a home here and sold it. This is my home but I’m finally thinking about venturing out. Not a fan of what Jax is turning into.
@@AndrewMichaelCoastalHavenGroup if I stay in FL I’ve been thinking about Gainesville. If leaving I’ve thought about Tennessee or Missouri. Somewhere less populated and more space, kind of how Jax used to be. I’m open for anything but could also stay here. I actually just moved from Duval county to St. Johns county (Ponte Vedra) about a month ago. St Johns county is a huge upgrade from Duval IMO. I’m originally from Nassau county.
@@AndrewMichaelCoastalHavenGroup Friends moved up to Jax and love it! I’ve been here 25 years, almost half my life. I love it, but it’s so expensive right now ($2,800/mo for a 2/2) Maybe getting out of the city would help. It’s really gotten crazy here, so many people migrating from Miami and so many New York “Wall Street” people setting up shop downtown. Used to be so great and fun, but now it’s totally different vibes.
I moved down to Tampa 20 years ago from N.Y. to escape taxes traffic housing cost etc.. All those issues are getting worse here now. I still love the Bay area and won't leave it. It's home for better or worse. Florida is a beauitiful state with a lot to offer. I am surprised it took so long for others to figure that out.
It seems to me that a common theme of people who move to Florida from other states or outside of the country is that more often than not they either love it and want to stay in Florida for the rest of their lives or they hate it and say "OMG what was I thinking?! I have to get out of here ASAP!!". It doesnt seem like there is much in between.
i just helped "another" eldery buyer who moved back to the midwest , purchase a home. they lost their homeowners insurance in Florida through no fault of their own & they didn't want that risk hanging over their heads.
How did they "lose" their home owner's insurance? I've seen several large companies leave the state but myself and other clients just went with a different provider. We didn't lose anything.
We lived in JAX 1982-1987. First Mayport right off A1A by St. Johns Church, then moved to the neighborhood across the street from Alhambra dinner theater. From Mayport if you wanted to go anywhere you would be in your car all day. From our other house, at least Regency Mall was close by but if you wanted to go to the beach you would be in the car all day. I shudder to think what it must be like now, it's not like they built more roads they definitely added more people and houses. I would have to say I enjoyed living in our regular house more than base housing because at our regular house there were several grocery stores close by and like I said, the mall. But the beach was further away.
Could it be that the mayor is a clown and continues to spend taxpayer money on useless stadium renovations. Or, maybe it is the number of nightly murders that regularly happen.
Depends on where you live. For instance, if you have a single-family home that backs up to a wooded preserve that it may be more often than if you had a condo in the actual city of Jacksonville. However, it is Florida and there are bugs everywhere. I would recommend having a company that treats your home periodically and will respond if you have an issue.

Great video! Floridian here (West Palm Beach) planning on moving out of Florida this year. Florida is broken. So over it.
How long have you lived in Florida for? We are originally from Broward county and didn’t care for it either. We love it up here in St. John’s county

I'm glad your move to Florida worked out! Thanks for sharing.

@JacksonvilleFloridaCommunities unknown, just what they told me..maybe there is more to.the story or they didn't know they could try other companies

Thank you for your service to our country! Yes you will need a car if you live here.
You forgot my neighbor Karen, lack of healthy restaurant food, "Florida Man", alligators and decorated Palm trees for Christmas.😛
I'm pretty sure every neighborhood everywhere has a Karen in it. And who doesn't like decorated palm trees for Christmas?

Scott, so how do you feel about the stadium? ;-)
I'll take our mayor is absolutely a clown for a hundred!!!😊
Let the billion dollar industry of the NFL pay for their own stadium, not the taxpayers
Do bugs get into the home? If so is it often?
