In what universe have OU fans seen this a thousand times? Texas has only been the favorite a few times in the last 20 years. The problem is most OU fans haven’t seen it enough. That’s why they’re reacting poorly. Most of the fanbase is entitled as hell.
Ari, you have to be complimentary in the way you say they're bad. "There is no way that OU is going to win the SEC" will get you called a hater. "If OU was getting better play at quarterback, they would have a shot at winning the SEC. The way their quarterbacks are playing right now, I don't see it happening" will get agreement. Especially if you throw in something about how their defense is performing.
@Texan571 How do you take away the temple game? Every turnover they gained was forced. But if you took them all away, they'd be at 7 total, and they would still be in the top 50. But taking stats away from one specific game to make a point isn't really fair. Especially since you can do the same for really any team and their worst opponent. They still average around 2 per game and have forced teams to turn the ball over consistently.
Anyone who would take anything other than even odds on the Red River Shootout, no matter what year, is out of their mind. There is no spread on this game, on matter what the team records are.
As Coach Royal used to say, it comes down to turnovers and the kicking game. Sark needs to emphasize to his guys not to fight for extra yards against multiple defenders when there's no benefit. Half of their fumbles have been guys fighting for an extra few feet when they already got the first down, and have no chance to break free.
The biggest thing with QB play between Jackson and Mike is turnovers. One can extend plays with his legs and the other will more than likely turn it over
Ewers goes down or is horribly ineffective and OU takes the momentum, creating a space for Arch to come in and lose on a last second play again. We create a controversy and get wrecked by 4 touchdowns to UGA next week. Not happening and TX is better all over the field, but I’ve seen far too many of these to believe an open and shut case. Texas has so many more spots where they can win and me, my blood pressure and liver will be pulling hard for my Horns.
And another thing is no one, I mean no one is saying crap about Texas's Defense. It's absolutely tremendous! You bet your ass they are listening to this mess from everyone.
Ari just learn to say to them, "Bite me" and let those comments be flushed away. It has worked for me for 74 years.... less stressful as well. Boomer Sooner!
Yall think JA would come into the game? He would have to burn his redshirt after not getting developed, not given a line, all receivers injured so nobody to throw to, and then being thrown under the bus by every fan....business decision says he is done for the year and he will play elsewhere
This year is not like past years. OU has a true freshman starting at QB, bad o line play, and are depleted at WR. And using yards per attempt to prove anything is just hilarious.
You know your team is bad when the only reason you pick them to win is "crazy things happen". Yes, OU winning this game would be crazy, you're right. 😂 Ewers and Manning are both better than little hawk, Texas O Line is huge, Texas secondary is much improved. Running backs are all on beast mode. The reason OU won last year is in Oregon now.
@@jmad6394 If Texas loses they were outplayed. It happens, but that doesn't mean it's the most likely scenario. Baring the unexpected, Texas should win. Convince me otherwise.
Some people are just not qualified to do the jobs they do or the jobs they want to do....Ari you can redeem yourself but you are looking very bad right now sir, you like most of the wanna be media talking heads come across as very condescending, arrogant, prideful and know it alls, need to be more balanced because your takes seem to be based deeply with emotion and irrationalities, for example Michael Hawkins had a bad day passing against Auburn when not only the numbers show different but he is a True Freshman, 1st start and it was on the road, OUs top 5 WRs did not play and are hurt(for the most part mathematically impossible), the offensive line is injured almost as bad as the WR room, it was their 5th game with a different starting offensive lineup....so all things considered Michael Hawkins played tremendously, don't know how many QBs with half of those conditions plays that efficiently....LAZY & INACCURATE TAKES, do better sir.
Hawkins made two other great throws against auburn that would have added another 50-60 yards to his total but both were called back. So I don’t like the thought that he hasn’t shown he has a solid passing prowess from what we’ve seen so far. You rolled your eyes Ari when you admitted his 60 yard pass was complete so it gets counted towards his stat line, and this fact hopefully helps you roll your eyes a little less
Yeah, that was like the burnt orange headed step child finally getting to beat up on their daddy when he was drunk and asleep. Been getting their ass kicked for a decade, but there WAS that one day!
It is not an unrealistic idea. You ABSOLUTELY cannot look at paper stats with this game. I crack up listening to some SEC “people” when they try to throw out analytics for this game. I am a former Sooner player, season ticket holder, etc. I have missed 3 RRR games since my time at OU in 85. Needless to say I am a fan and still pretty connected to the program. There IS NOTHING that compares to this atmosphere. In my line of work I blessed enough to travel the country a lot. I have been to the Iron Bowl, 3 times to Ohio St/Mich, Oregon/ Oregon St, Florida/Georgia, TexAss/aTm, to mention a few. You simply have to go to understand. Lots of rivalries have venom. This one has the most unique blend of that plus the state fair, plus the 50/50 split. You very well could see to 55 yo doctors in a fist fight. There mobile paddy wagons stationed outside. It’s a near equal distance from each school. Dallas is OUs biggest alumni base. There truck is no home field advantage. When you listen to Klatt and some other media guys they all say the same thing. I personally stood on the sideline one year and spoke with Eddie George. He said it was a bigger atmosphere that Ohio St/ Mich.only thing that compared was playoff NFL. So, in short, nothing on paper is gonna matter UNLESS OU doesn’t get back any of the missing 5 starting WRs. If that’s the case, they simply may not be able to mount much of a passing game. 2 years ago, OU was without Gabriel and the backup QB. 3rd string guy couldn’t complete a downfield pass. Whones ran bear front all day and blitzed them into submission. 49-0. That’s an aberration. Look for stars to made in this game and oil leases to be lost. It just means more REALLY means more now
Are these the kind of clips we should expect? A 15 minute discussion on whether Michael Hawkins Jr can pass. Andy comparing a 10-15 day for 10yds per is a way to compare him to Heisman contenders.🤦♂
Hey Ari! It's totally fine to not sugarcoat things. I get it. I'm not Willy Wonka. But it only works if it is fact. And your opinions are not fact. Not to mention you guys are supposed to be college football experts. Well guess what? If you claim to be an expert and you get it wrong, people are going to be mad. Cause you are supposed to know better. And if you don't know better, then why should anybody listen to you?
Texas had a better offense in ‘23 and only scored 23 points. Oklahoma has a better defense in ‘24 and they won’t have to score very much to stay in this game
@@greenwithenvee2337 according to Texas insiders that is not the case. Not saying they’re bad, but it’s a step back especially with the loss of the RBs
Also, ya think maybe being without ALL 5 starting WRs and 3/5 starting OL as well as a starting RB and a DB going out against Tennessee might have played into the loss? A blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut lol.
People speak about the OU offense as if it is a finished product, and that is ridiculously far from the truth. OU has been piecing it together, and JA played himself out of the starting role, specifically when he threw a backward pass on a run play. War Hawk has presence and poise, both of which JA has been lacking this season for some unknown reason. War Hawk is going to be throwing more as the offense is tailored to his strong suit more and more.
I guess we should tell analysts not to make halftime analysis because when a team makes adjustments for the 2nd half it makes you wrong on your 1st half analysis?
Why does an offense get all the hype in these games? All OU’s offense has to do is sustain some drives to give the defense a breather. OU’s defense is good enough that the offense can kick some field goals and win this game. Oklahoma doesn’t win every game, but all OU fans always feel we have a chance because at the end of the day the football game must be played in real life not just in some computer database. Ewers is a bit turnover prone in big games. He has to put more power behind the ball on short to intermediate throws. He throws too soft sometimes and can be jumped. If OU loses I won’t be mad as long as they don’t shoot themselves in the foot and leave opportunity’s on the field. OU is one of the best teams in terms of field position in the country which has been a big difference in these games. Baker Mayfield was a 3 star QB, I have to watch these guys play to come to conclusions about how good they can be.
Go Soons, but let’s wear armor for this one. Even texas, like the lightweight morsel in the commode, rises to the top every decade or so. We’ll survive this metamorphosis. texas will revert to their arrogant, self-satisfied selves lol. I say texas beats the spread but I’m keeping my change in my pocket.
As a Sooner fan I'm comfortable with the 14-point spread. I mean Texas is favored every year, and still manage to lose. So yea i'm good with the spread
We've literally only been favored like twice in the past decade. It's only since Venables got here and failed to pick up where Lincoln and Stoops left off that we've started to become favored.
Ari has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to RRS. Hey Andy, how about you also tell Ari who has won the most RRS games this century. Maybe he will understand better then to run his mouth.
Oklahoma is way less talented than Texas, so their game plan will be to try and strip the ball, rough up the receivers, in other words fight dirty because this is their only chance at winning.

In what universe have OU fans seen this a thousand times? Texas has only been the favorite a few times in the last 20 years. The problem is most OU fans haven’t seen it enough. That’s why they’re reacting poorly. Most of the fanbase is entitled as hell.
Ari is correct.
Ari "I got called out, people are meanies". 😭
Texas 45 Oklahoma 10
Ari, you have to be complimentary in the way you say they're bad. "There is no way that OU is going to win the SEC" will get you called a hater. "If OU was getting better play at quarterback, they would have a shot at winning the SEC. The way their quarterbacks are playing right now, I don't see it happening" will get agreement. Especially if you throw in something about how their defense is performing.
Takeaway the temple game does Ou really force a ton of turnovers? Compared to Texas ?
Dumb question
@@aaronj5699 how so?
Heck no
@Texan571 How do you take away the temple game? Every turnover they gained was forced. But if you took them all away, they'd be at 7 total, and they would still be in the top 50. But taking stats away from one specific game to make a point isn't really fair. Especially since you can do the same for really any team and their worst opponent. They still average around 2 per game and have forced teams to turn the ball over consistently.
@@JDUBB2399 update
Anyone who would take anything other than even odds on the Red River Shootout, no matter what year, is out of their mind. There is no spread on this game, on matter what the team records are.
As Coach Royal used to say, it comes down to turnovers and the kicking game. Sark needs to emphasize to his guys not to fight for extra yards against multiple defenders when there's no benefit. Half of their fumbles have been guys fighting for an extra few feet when they already got the first down, and have no chance to break free.
“Oklahoma fans hurt my feelings so I’m taking Texas” 😂😂😂😂😂
Naming your son ari is diabolical😂😂
The biggest thing with QB play between Jackson and Mike is turnovers. One can extend plays with his legs and the other will more than likely turn it over
count me as extremely shocked that ari doesn't know 14.5 is still 2 scores, not 3 😂
It’s not the fact that people say Oklahoma is gonna lose but we hate texass so much we rather go 1-11 and just beat Texass
The offense is evolving and will definitely be much better going forward. War Hawk will be fine. He will "find his legs" in the UT game.
Ari does not watch games and just looks at box scores so it’s hard for him to analyze games.
Saying Archie needs only 1 good year then can go to the NFL is absolutely absurd
Mike Hawkins is a gamer if you can’t see that within 1.5 games youre not watching
This year is not like past years. OU has a true freshman starting at QB, bad o line play, and are depleted at WR.
And using yards per attempt to prove anything is just hilarious.
ou sux. Texas wins big this year! Absolute lock! 🤘🤘🤘
Damn bro you should be on ESPN with that bs lmao what’s the excuse if Texas loses? What was last years excuse?
@@jmad6394
If Texas loses they were outplayed.
People seem to forget that Jackson Arnold has played 4 games. If he plays again he can't red shirt the year. I wouldn't assume he's the backup...
Ari is to the Boomers like Stephen A. is to my Cowboys.
You know my favorite is that year 49-0
Yeah, that was like the burnt orange headed step child finally getting to beat up on their daddy when he was drunk and asleep.
It just means more REALLY means more now
Auto correct sucks, should have proof read
@@TimothyMiller-s6ddon’t worry nobody is gonna read it anyways
Are these the kind of clips we should expect? A 15 minute discussion on whether Michael Hawkins Jr can pass. Andy comparing a 10-15 day for 10yds per is a way to compare him to Heisman contenders.🤦♂
I didn’t know Malachi Moore was white. man Andy took him to the woodshed 🤣 well done
Oklahoma will lose by a thousand
And then you’ll wake up to reality.
I was going to have Texas by 17! OU doesn't have enough offense power
Texas had a better offense in ‘23 and only scored 23 points. Oklahoma has a better defense in ‘24 and they won’t have to score very much to stay in this game
@@claypennington602Texas did not have a better offense last year. Their offense is much much improved especially in the red zone
War Hawk is an unbelievably cringe nickname for a true freshman who hasn't proven anything yet.
Cooper said Arch will strt 2 years at Texas before entering the draft
Andy & Ari hae become a new spot for me to get honest & professional comment. Boomer Sooner!
10/15 for 162 is equal to 20/30 for 320 yards percentage wise so I don't get why Ari thinks he's a bad passer unless he's just a hater or stupid
If it’s a close game, Ewers gets injured again, UT loses a couple lineman and a back, and OU Wins on a turnover. Otherwise Texas wins by 19
He was 10-15 passing vs auburn
The problem is Ous offense hasn’t been able to sustain drives all year. They are incredibly inefficient
This was entire video of Ari whining.
You're not providing context on that 10-15. How many of those passes went beyond the line of scrimmage?
Y’all were a bit lucky on the Tennessee game, OU just threw the game in the garbage
Yeah I agree with Ari on this one. I feel like Andy is only standing with the crowd because it's the popular opinion.
Alabama.
Was a twenty one point favorite over vanderbilt
Oklahoma doesn’t have the offense Vanderbilt has
As a Sooner fan I'm comfortable with the 14-point spread. I mean Texas is favored every year, and still manage to lose. So yea i'm good with the spread
We've literally only been favored like twice in the past decade. It's only since Venables got here and failed to pick up where Lincoln and Stoops left off that we've started to become favored.
I love the way OU fans just make up shit 😂 Yall are usually the team that’s favored
OU also had a big pass gain called back! The kids arm is there and he's just beginning!
That was 25 minutes about a tweet.
Ari has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to RRS. Hey Andy, how about you also tell Ari who has won the most RRS games this century. Maybe he will understand better then to run his mouth.
This is good stuff.
Ari, you are whiney.... Waaaah.... Waaaaaaaaaah!
Texas defense will dominate the game
Ari can't accept responsibility for his garbage take.
Ari kept saying “passing situation”
Oklahoma is way less talented than Texas, so their game plan will be to try and strip the ball, rough up the receivers, in other words fight dirty because this is their only chance at winning.
So trying to strip the ball is “fighting dirty” 😂 got it
@SuperK1320 You are a cheat and dirty yourself. That is why you are ok with it. It's like shooting someone in the back. I don't expect low IQ "people" like you to understand, but you are intellectually deficient to reason with.
You could just say you don't know ball. The recruiting rankings over the last 4 years are basically identical with a slight edge to Texas
@@lari4036you could just say you haven’t paid attention to the fact that BV didn’t stock up the offensive side of his team to the degree he focused on the defensive side of his team.
You could just say you haven’t factored in the revenge factor Texas feels after last year’s game.
You could say you hadn’t thought about the fact that super-ambitious coach Sark REALLY doesn’t want to go 1-3 vs OU; he will fight like hell to make it 2-2 vs OU.
You could just say you don’t realize how sh*tty the OU O-line is, a situation you can blame 100% on your Head coach for not paying attention to the details in recruiting here.

Auburn's defense is horribad . You're moving the goal posts. Texas actually has a secondary. They have a defensive front. Quinn is so superior to Hawkins he's not even in the s asme stratosphere
Same with Arcch,Manning. Hawkins has a 60% passing rating.. That's almost below average. He's a running QB that will get exposed. Ou has no WRs, their defense is good, not.great.
Qjom will carve them up like he did that Michigan defense that has 3 1st rd draft picks. Ou does not.
