@Intellicade I used a deep pot but you can use a pan as well if the popcorn will fit. I tried it in the bag and I tried it scooping the kernels out of the bag and cooking the kernels alone. Personally I preferred to take it out the bag and cooking it like that. When I cooked the popcorn inside the bag, I noticed lots of smoke and many of the kernels did not pop. Hope this helps :)👍
