Well, young couple! no crabs in upstate New York so I ordered A dozen large from Maryland and received them overnight mail today. I also ordered a half dozen lump crab meat Crabcakes. I couldn’t drool over Joyce’s cooking anymore. $385 delivered! I envy how you folks eat like kings and Queens on the cheap. Will be using Joyce’s recipes. I thank you so much. Bon Appetit

Ed we got very lucky the water came up over 5' if it came another 2 inches we would have water inside. We still have a big mess outside. Thanks for asking. We were planning on going grouper fishing but instead we're dealing with this mess but we're thankful things turned out like it did.
What a nice catch of crabs! Those crab cakes look delicious. I like brussel sprouts too and the main reason I think folks do not like them is that they have not had them cooked properly. I have not roasted them but cooked them other ways. When our big dog Mollie was alive she loved brussel sprout leaves, cabbage and broccoli. She would sit at the end of the kitchen waiting for my invitation to come get the outer leaves because they did not look nice or were a bit yellow. She loved them but did not like carrots or carrot peelings. Every time I see brussel sprouts I think of her. I am going to have to get a chance to go crabbing. You never know what you are going to get and I glad you had a nice catch and were not caught out in that storm. Storms when you are boating are never fun.

Nice haul! Glad to see those big ole rusty crabs are around. That picking the meat out of those crabs are a lot of work, but well worth it! On a side note: I've never heard of the "Big Bend" in Florida. Who named that?
You can get the inexpensive ring traps at most Walmarts and the metal ones at Amazon. If you're going to set the big ones out of a boat most of ours came from 3 Kings Crab Traps in Salt Springs Florida. Good luck with your crabbing and Thanks for Watching
