I am getting the same blue/blue in the near future.
This Helson is basically a 1:1 copy of the vintage Jenny Caribbean 1000, while the Jenny reissue represents their old Caribbean 700.
I much prefer the 40/45 size of this Helson over the 42/51 dimensions of the Jenny. A 51mm L2L just doesn’t look period correct, in my opinion. (One reason I sold my Jenny. That and the fact that it has a 21mm lug width.)
The original Jenny 700 was, I believe, 40mm across. I wish Jenny hadn’t decided to ‘supersize’ their reissue.
Anyway, despite the fact that the Helson Caribbeans are indeed sold out, I was able to source a new one. So I am quite pleased about that.
I will say that the Helson perfectly captures the 60s essence of the original Caribbean 1000.

I am torn between a Jenny and this one.
I had the DOXA Jenny 50th Anniversary and stupidly sold it.
I do like the aesthetics of this Helson better.

Well the Helson is certainly less expensive! I'd say go find one. You won't regret it.
Not sure what's going on .. but that's exactly a carbon copy of a blue Jenny Caribbean Old now disappeared Swiss brand, I have a an orange one, sapphire bezel, proprietary diving rule and case.. look it it up! You'd be surprised!
i have the blue jenny and it looks 10x better. this is a nice homage.
I did.....the bezels are alike. Guess Helson has some explaining to do?
Or Jenny, like "the new"Doxa , it looks like they have similar suppliers in HK. The movements make it much more affordable, the "swiss made" have to use other movements, that's my opinion nowadays.
