Tupolev Tu-144 is a Soviet supersonic airliner developed by Tupolev Design Bureau in the 1960s. The first supersonic civil aircraft in the world, which was a competitor to the European supersonic liner - Concorde. In fact, in the history of aviation, only these two aircraft were operated on commercial supersonic lines.
The developer team created Tu-144 using the most advanced available technologies and encountered many difficulties, but successfully overcame most of them.
