By far the best video on building one of these.

I've been watching ALOT of these DIY firepit videos and this one is my favorite!

My husband is in thebprocess of doing this and we were wondering about cementing it. This video was great.

I planned on building a pit this spring. Now i know what design I'm going with. Thanks for the video

I did this but with a fire ring with holes every 2 inches a half inch thick and then about 10 holes at the bottom. I then left out 4 blocks spaced around the circumference of the bottom row.

    Great job, simple and effective.
Not sure if I’ll opt for the smokeless, smoke isn’t as bothersome as bugs and mosquitoes. Plus, I have an aversion to skin absorbing, chemical repellents.
    Love the design though. 👍🏼✌🏼

Great looking pit. I’m building one with an air intake pipe installed that will double as a drain when it rains. I like the idea of the cement lining the inside. I’m using busted concrete for a more rustic look (and cause it’s free) so I may need some sort of inner lining to keep the air focused.

Just putting air holes in the bottom will not make it "smokeless"- you need an inner layer to heat the air and feed it back to the top to allow it to burn hotter and burn off the smoke. Basically you just properly aerated your firepit. Everyone needs to add air flow from the bottom.

Tyler, can you elaborate on constructing an inner layer please, or link to a description.

@@timeandspace_3.142 Just a fire ring of slightly smaller circumference than the current one, fit inside it. So there is the outer ring, then the inner ring and a fire in the middle.

Thanks Jeremy!! This is the best one I've seen so far. Did you do anything for the bottom of the pit to allow for drainage or any other reason?

I didn’t even think of that! Thanks.....
I need to research a little more before doing my own, never thought about water drainage 🤔

Nice job. What's the inside diameter? I want to put in a ring and clean out tray.

Why put cement on the inside? Why would you wanted to only pull air from the draft holes and not other cracks?

It's got proper air flow for sure, but this isn't what they mean with the term "smokeless." A proper ventilated fire will have less smoke in general, but it doesn't have that weird second air injection thing the commercial products do.

Great job. How much did the material cost you?

How many bricks in each layer?

12x trapezoid blocks & 12x pavers per layer, the bottom layer would only 6x pavers

I learned something that I couldn't have known. You do get smoke with a "Smokeless" fire pit. So how do you get away with blatantly lying?

      Don't be mean
The design is a little off
