Chanderpaul along with Md. Yousuf are the most underrated greats of Cricket. They got never compared with Lara or Sachin or Dravid. But were the sole warrior for their respective teams. time. His stats speaks volumes of his greatness.
Chanderpaul was the last wes indian batsman who truly respected the purest format of this game. The sole warrior of an entire team he was... His stats are up to the mark to be considered as a legend but rarely gets the mention, he deserves.
He was a class act, one of my favourite cricketers ever, his son has just debuted and looks promising, so keep an eye on him. Scored 50 and 45 in his 1st and 2nd innings of his 1st test. He looks and bats just like his dad, I really hope he goes well.
Not the strongest West Indies team ever but that batting line up of Gayle, Sarwan, Lara and Chanderpaul is better than a lot going around at the minute.
I was on holiday back when this test match was on, so I missed watching it first time round. This is the first time I’ve actually been able to watch full highlights of it lol
When we talk about Windies Cricket we mention Sir Vivian Richards, Lara and Gayle as the batting icons. But look at Chandrapaul a true gentleman, genuine test cricketer over 10 thousand runs but unfortunately most of cricket lovers never remember him as one of the the greatest batsman to ever step on cricket ground. Why ......??
He’s recognized across the world, by cricket fans, but not by West Indies management. They didn’t give him a proper send off. I guess he would have played for another team, he would have send off with respect.
it is a crime that chanderpaul is not named in the same breath as lara or sachin . the guy is truly the most underrated cricketer that has come out in the past 50 years . he was the real clutch player not lara as it is unanimously thought
He battled in a side that was ordinary, he always gave his team a fighting chance, pulled them out of terrible situations all the time. He was my favourite WIndies player ever. His son is very promising and looks and bats just like his dad. scored 50 and 45 in his first test.
If he played in England, Australia or India, he would get the recognition he deserved, but he played in the same side as Brian Lara and everyone really only looked at him. Chanderpaul was criminally underrated. nearly 12 000 runs. He was truly elite, yet you don't hear much about him. His Average was 51, his average is high because he valued and protected his wicket very well.
@Wensley Michel Devon Smith attempted to take a catch but was not sure so he asked the umpire...Ian Botham rants about how it's not out and it's unnecessary to go up until he himself sees the replay and says "Oh that was close" smh
No dude West indies was a good team in that era lara, gayle, chanderpaul was very good yes bowling should have been better but still better than England at that time they were actually great after pietersen's arrival and later on cook, broad, swann came and they became stronger let's hope that west indies come back strongly

And point to notice is that, Chanderpaul was not out in both the innings!!...
@Kunal yes
@Kunal yesss absolutely!
@Kunal yess
I believe that Md .Yousuf is the best batsman produced by Pakistan who never got his due credit.
The time when Chris Gayle took three runs very comfortably luv this west indies team
Both teams had clean classic magnificent test outfit.

@@SilentHotdog28in his first match IN AUSTRALIA against their full strength attack. That was very impressive.

LAND M
I remember we used to complain about the team back then…if we only knew what was to come lol
The bowling line up let them down I think, apart from maybe Fidel Edwards it was quite ordinary.
@@christopherdavis4135let them down is an understatement lmao, they let Rob f-ing Key score 200 lmao
@@anweshchatterjee7595 Robert Key was a fine player.

Give Rob Key a mention. Hahahaha.
Ikr i didn't he realize batted so eleglantly
Exactly
Very underrated player, Rob Key.

😊

Chanderpaul doesn't get the fame as he deserve 😍

Chanderpaul was great test cricketer, actually he was a wall of WI.

Chris Gayle playing cover drive amazing 👏 👌 🙌
Chanderpul is best💯💯👍💯👏 🏏cricketer in Westindies Team ❤❤❤🤟🤟🤟
after watching this live second innings batting of Chanderpaul batting I really admire him...
If only Lara had reviews .... some shocking decisions
Key was 100% caught at slip - and that’s from a kent fan 😂
I was at this game. Great match.
*Shivnarayan Chandrapaul remained not our for the entire match that is commendable in itself. Truely a class player*
My favourite always England cricket team❤❤
02:25 Big Bob was a very lucky boy
Key's only test century was a double, and the title doesn't mention him? Did he do summat wrong, Lord's?
2:38 that's legal wtf?
Commentator doesn't make sense either. It's literally out, doesn't matter what the player thought
Test match is the beauty of cricket.
Really Wants to see and Visit Lord's too..
17:42 mind those windows
Funniest cricket incident apart from TMS's 'leg over' moment.
GREAT CRICKET 🏏🌹
The team which dominated the cricket world is now struggling now, Windies.
Exactly bro. Ups and downs are part of life.
GREAT Work Sir
the same batting struggled and played like 10 years old had no answers had no clue against ambrose and walsh... how times changed
What's up with Gower at 15:57? Rrrright between the two of them
How many times chanderpaul goes not out for his team
Is he was playing in wrong team?

wtf!! vaughan a starrer !!! seriously ?!!! the title is supposed to be rob key and chanderpaul not vaughan!!!
To be fair, Vaughan did score a century in each innings.
That’s what I was thinking.
What's with Ian Botham's hateful commentary here? 2 and a half mins and I'm already pissed
@Wensley Michel Devon Smith attempted to take a catch but was not sure so he asked the umpire...Ian Botham rants about how it's not out and it's unnecessary to go up until he himself sees the replay and says "Oh that was close" smh
Rob keys innings was quite brilliant who agrees 👇
Very sorrow for this channel 😞
Nice video but only 10k views
Super chandravanshi chandrapaul
That catch of rob key in the first innings was definitely out
England cricket is good
Umpire cheated in the 1st Inngs 2 horrible decisions

Psycho Flintoff😊
Daryll harper one of the worst umpire of world cricket
crying baby lara
I'm from India But I love Aussie
Biased umpires !!
Terrible umpiring just waiting for ball to be touch to the pad and westindies player out😅
