Adding a country lane and garage to complete this area, which means I can then attempt to install a back scene!
Usual methods - A mixture of fine turf, course turf and underbrush and XPS foamboard to replicate concrete.
My retirement project - Grandads trains! A work in progress consisting of a 5 line layout over 2 levels, complete with turntable, landscaping and various buildings including a mainline station in OO gauge. DCC controlled via Z21.
I’m 2 years into this project so please subscribe and join me as the layout progresses.

Hi. I didn’t really work to a track plan. I did spend weeks playing around with AnyRail to create a layout but when I started to put it on the base boards it just didn’t work - far too much track and the curves were way too tight. All I knew was that I wanted a large mainline station and 2 levels so started with that and then worked from there. I’m sure it will be a project for your retirement 👍
