  • Ditching my clapped out old "rears up front" springs for some well used 3F race springs!

    Is it recommended to drill a new hole in the spring pad 1” back from the stock location when installing the 3F leaf springs?

      It's not necessary, I really didn't need to in this case, but I'd rather have my axle 1/4" further forward than 1/2" further back.

      @@SkysOffroadDesign Has Sky’s ever considered making longer than stock front and rear spring pads with pre drilled holes for this situation? I think the extra length in the pad could help control the axle.

      @@TorturedWitt no, I don't see any need to cut off the spring perches and weld new ones on. The axle is still well supported, and under control.

      We actually have something VERY cool for Toyotas in the works right now. We've got one on Clancy's 5VZ-R150F-Dual Case 4Runner (the one in this video) and one on Sky's 22RE-W56-Dual Case 4Runner. That's the final stage of R&D, real world use.
