    Julia always takes the best photos. Her ability to adjust to different conditions is key to her sharp photography 📸.

    1:46 For DSLR cameras also makes sense to turn on mirror blocking, it prevents camera body from shaking a bit more. Thanks, Julia

      @@SusanneGeert Well, mirror blocking function holds a mirror at the top position in order to prevent blur due to mirror moving. This very useful for macro shooting and also use telephoto lens and/or long shutter speed etc.

    Great Video Julia!, I have the Peak Design CF Tripod that I use for travel which is similar to the Tripod you were using, after watching your Video, I learned that I can now have the Tripod tilt to shoot into a portrait mode, which is something I would not have thought of until watching your video, thanks again for sharing the knowledge :)

    Julia, thanks for your video. I have a question. Any time I take a picture with my 800d and my old phone, I can see my mobile phone's picture is sharper and more vibrant than may DSLR. Why is like that? If smartphone gets better pic, what is the result of usonga DSLR?

    Your first mistake is, not using your 2 sec self timer. Use a wireless remote you won't have any camera shake. It contacts by bluetooth.

    Thanks for a great video 🙌 TWO QUESTIONS:
    1) Do you know if the articulating arm from SmallRig can be used on other tripods (I have a Manfrotto 055X B)?
    2) How do you make your camera takes multiple images like at 5:50? Thanks in advance 🫶

    Does anyone know what the self timer settings are? How do you get it to refocus track the face once the shutter has been pressed on the a7iii?

    • @juliatrotti
      @juliatrotti  9 місяців тому

      I had the same issue on my A7III, unfortunately it doesn't work like that natively. I found a workaround with an app called Shutter though where it will refocus when you press the shutter in the app for it if you wanted to try it out. I haven't used it in ages though, so hopefully it still works that way!

    @juliatrotti I love those landscapes.
    What are you shooting with your 200-600? I've gone as high as 200 mm with my 70-200, but I haven't been in situations where I really wanted something longer. Have you done any astrophotography with it?

    • @juliatrotti

      Thank you! I took it to Antarctica for wildlife photography, it came in very handy. I will be uploading those videos starting next week, I can't wait to share them!! And I also took it to Europe with me. In my Austria video I used it quite a lot for landscape photography. It's like my "portrait" lens for landscapes haha i love the compression

      I *love* shooting landscapes with a long lens too - especially with a tripod. The compression is awesome, and you get such amazingly sharp photos!

    To take photos with the camera almost touching the ground I use a L-Bracket, so I can use my tripod upsidedown but have my camera not in upsidedown position.

      Heaps of insight. I have also found I don't use my tripod as much as it's heavy and bulky 3 KG and a pain to set up and pack away, and this literally just made me think I found a great one with this video! Unexpected when I was here to make my photos sharper 😂😅The shortcut with the legs, the weight, size and the super low angle just convinced me to make the swap. Don't worry I'll use the links when I do make my mind up to buy it though I'd wanna sell my one right now before that as $$$.
