Step kits for vinyl liners come with a tool like this that they pre make and it lasts for probably 5 pools. Then I re tape it like how you're doing it.
Hi Jason - if course you know your videos are all tremendous!!! I’ve recommended your channel to several folks already who are getting ready to install pools and patios. I’ll be calling you folks here this week to order antiquing stain. Quickie question.... when’s the best time to remove the foam forms to work the cantilever edge with the Slurry? I just finishing doing the seamless stamp on deck - think it’s ok now, here in NC it’s Sunny and about 90?
Glad you enjoy the videos Kirk! Feel free to call one of our locations and we can help you out. Columbus: (614) 253-3326
So what does this do to the crisp straight line across the front of the brush marks on top?
Love the finish work questions what did you guys due for the expansion joint. Did you just use a tool after the concrete set up for a bit
The joint is from a chamfer clip that is installed on the form. You could grind them in with an angle grinder if you don't have chamfer clips.
I had a 10x24 salt vinyl water pool installed last summer. We’re trying to DIY coping and small patio around the pool. Any tips or recommendation on coping? I’m a bit concern about safety along the edges of the coping. Are there soft coping? Or in general the only options is pavers or concrete coping?
This was not done on my pool and dried rigid. Is there a way to fix this to be smooth after?
Diamond sanding disks for angle grinder bu may leave sanding marks so first try on inconspicuous area.
H I used z pool forms and my forms left air bubbles and some edges of the liners didn't line up real good. Is there a way to fix this after the concrete is set up? A product you recommend?
If you are using color hardener, you can make a slurry ua-cam.com/video/VBYGZmcoiDI/v-deo.html to refinish the edge after the fact. If you are using integral color, you can use this technique ua-cam.com/video/-fcrvq3YJJo/v-deo.html to make a slurry as well.
Where can I buy forms like you've got there
Those forms are from Stegmeier. You can get them on our website, I'll leave a link at the bottom. Thanks for watching!!! www.deco-cretesupply.com/products/search/manufacturer?field_manufacturer_target_id=372
Question: our pool installer left without finishing the concrete and a year later, it’s still not done. Is there a way to sand it smooth?
I don't think sanding will do much but you may be able to smooth it up with a diamond grinding wheel
How do you know that concrete is ready to remove the foam and won't crack and its not to hard to make it smooth?
Once you finish the top, it is usually good to go but it becomes more clear as you gain experience. It is a short window 1-2 hours but the slurry will help you out
@@DecoCreteTV thank you very much for response. Great channel all the best for you guys.
If you pull the top of the form away from the concrete and there isn't any sag.
Where did you get the tape?
You can get Vinyl Safety Tape on our website! www.deco-cretesupply.com/products/safety-products/vinyl-safety-tape
That tape is used on floors in factories LOL
That's a caution tape 😂 you put those in designated areas for a walk way or entering a hazardous area or machine shop environment.
Vinyl tape.
