Mike, hope you see this. I disliked mushrooms for most of my life (the ones that go on pizza lol). I didn't like eating something that grew on rot. You have changed my perspective on mushrooms. The ones you grow are beautiful and look delicious! Can't wait to try some of these varieties!
I’ve always liked the ones on pizza😂😂😂 As you learn about mushrooms, they’re TRULY INCREDIBLE. They were here over a billion years before dinosaurs. They will be here when we’re gone. We have a few patches where puffballs grow in my yard. After a good rain and a few warm days, I go out and look at the mycelium growing, they’re seasonal so they don’t fruit everytime, but it’s just really cool watching their process. I’ve never enjoyed much in my life… not many things bring me joy but I’ve finally found something I’m really passionate about…. I can’t get enough shroomies(: or learn enough about them(: I hope anyone else that has struggled a lot in their life find something they love and being a them genuine joy💙 love and peace 💙
I'm growing this for the first time & the mycelium has just finished colonizing the substrate & pinning about an inch. Super excited to see the final fruits.
Thank you for taking the time to educate the masses, you are a great teacher. Do you have a preferred substrate mix for reishi? I've heard they don't do so well on masters mix.
Hello Mike. I bought a reishi grow bag at my local farmers market. The mycelium went from white to yellowish and the antlers also grew this velvet looking yellow up until 1/3 to 1/2 up the grow bag. Once it reached 1/3 to 1/2 up the grow bag then it started to grow the familiar reddish brown with white tip. Many have reached the top of the bag but still the bottom 1/2 to 1/3 is covered in this yellow velvet covering. The yellow isn't a sun shinny yellow but more of a snot yellow a little hint of green without it being actually green. I don't want to throw it out if it's a normal weird thing, but I don't want to open the bag if it's bad( it doesn't look good, but weird things don't always look good but that doesn't make them bad.) I took it to the ppl that I bought off of and they didn't have an explanation for it but thought that it was ok(they didn't sound too sure though). I don't know. I'd like to know what the bleep it is before throwing it out. Do you have any idea???? Thank you for your time.
I'm up in Oregon and work in an indoor rec marijuana facility. I've never tried to grow any types of mushrooms. It's very interesting to me though, being a mushroom forager in the woods. I'm quite impressed by what you show me and explain about the process. Thanks. ☮️
I just found you! Loving your videos! I’m growing from a kit in a blow-up container. The spores are thick but the Reishi are really small. Do you think I need more airflow? (It has small filter holes along the sides.) it’s been so hard to find someone that looks like they REALLY know what they are talking about.
I have search on every reisi infos on UA-cam , now I am sure it is reisi mushroom grown on my dead coconut tree that I had comment on others videos , thank you for the videos , I am going to harvest and make into tea
Matt's mushroom farm in Albuquerque, my name's Steve, shiitake and reishi are our difficult grows and I'm starting to tend to them. Issue is that we're growing blue oyster, lions mane, and shiitake and reishi all in the same room.... Any advice? I'd like to help move them into a different level
How do I buy one that's fully grown like that from you. I just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and want to experiment with reishi to lower my blood sugar and see if I can reverse this hellish dis ease. I don't want to go on regular medicine, I want to cure myself without the man managed malificent money making medicine machine. Do you think the lucidum or the yellow one or the citrus one is best? Thank you young man. Also, don't you have to protect your lungs from spore overload doing all that work exposure? Thanks
Hello! Thanks for all your videos and information. This are really good, and helps a lot. I want to ask what’s the temperature and the humidification that u have in a tent, like it’s like similar in all your tents, or have variations cording to the kind of mushroom ? Thanks from chile 🇨🇱 ♥️✨
I bought one of these from another company. And followed the instructions, kept them in a misted tent. But they grew sparingly and are kind of hallow and crispy. Any recommendations? 😢
Could you maybe show some errors, where things didn’t go exactly to plan? Mostly to help amateur growers recognize what may have gone wrong for them. Things like cross contamination from spores getting in the wrong place or adhered to utensils. I don’t know what else could go wrong but this might have been easier to show in the early days when you were learning . I’d appreciate if you could show some examples as they happen, maybe as bloopers at the end of a video? Thanks for sharing all you do now.👍🏻🙋🏼
Mike, what do you do with all the leftover mycelium blocks once they no longer fruit? What are some good ways to find use for them so they aren't wasted
You can run the fogger until the humidity reaches 100% and have it switched off with an automated switch. For the fan, you can have it run to clear the tent's air once an hour, or more if you want. The intake should be filtered a little bit.
There is ONE thing I dislike about these videos, and literally only one Ilearn an incredible amount and enjoy learning. I notice you always say "I", "My", "I do or did", I never hear "we" or "our". I'm sure you have worked very hard to get where you are but I would suspect there is a ton of other people there that would be a lot happier if they were given a bit more "ownership" of the process and success. Just a thought

Wow nice work!
Any tips for dealing with sporeloads during harvest? Do you allow them to spore and package them as they are caked with sporeS?

Would like to see your HVAC and ventilation set-up!
If I remember correctly, his video on cleaning the grow tents has a bit of info on that

This my guy!
Where do you tend to sell your reishi
I would love to get a mushroom business going
I bought one of these from another company. And followed the instructions, kept them in a misted tent. But they grew sparingly and are kind of hallow and crispy. Any recommendations? 😢

Throw them in your garden . I’ve thrown some in the woods near trees
the best
how much weight of wood substrate is in the bag???
awesome
What size tents do you use?
What's the best temp for Reishi when fruiting?
Nice
I was click baited, in the thumbnail, I thought I was looking at some overstuffed burritos.
I would like to place an order.
cool but why so much plastic? where does it all go?
Am I the only one who thought the thumbnail looked lik a couple of loaded burritos?
