looks nice, professional... but water tends to seep between the steel rim and granite... . silicone sealant alone while glueing steel to granite may not seal micro gaps between both. And therefore need to have a 'gap filling material' along the entire rim, like a rubber seal. ribber seal is not an elegant dolution and also needs a clamp like device to tighten the grip.. better to allow gravity and weight of sink to do it... by using a epoxy strip tape along rim on bottom of sink. Seating the basin and pressing down, and neatly removing the excess material that squishes out at edges.

How long the wood foundation last? Wooden foundation prone to Termites. Concrete would last longer compare to wood or plyboard

In this vedeo top of granite and top of sink has some level difference....it should be align in same level, so we can clean extra water over plateform towards the sink easily...thanks...rest is fine..if I am wrong please cotrect me.

Hello! By nature, granite is moisture resistant, however it is also porous. Using a sealant will help prevent liquids from seeping into the granite and creating stains.
