I'll admit, this looks impressive. Especially the boss fight with the Biolizard. That remix of "Supporting Me" absolutely slaps. Also, Shadow's gameplay kinda makes me wish he had been a DLC character for Sonic Frontiers. I am a bit disappointed they didn't show off Shadow's new wings, but I guess they didn't want to spoil that surprise just yet.
I mean, It's clearly not Generations' level of polish and quality, but the visuals are really cool and the movement looks responsive and quick. Music sounds REALLY good too.
I really want Mephilis to return since he's a part of Shadow's history as much as Black Doom and the biolizard are... Unfortunately I don't think that Infinite will be in the game. Considering that this story takes place literally around the same time that Sonic's portion does. At the time of Sonic generations's saga in the timeline, Sonic colors was the most recent saga in Sonic's history.
Infinite probably won’t be in this game because generations takes place before forces and the shadow campaign probably takes place at the same time of Sonic’s campaign.
Was expecting SA2's Final Chase, but looks like we're getting Shadow The Hedgehog's The Ark instead. I'm cool with this. I hope we get to see at least one of our little alien bat friends.
I'm pretty sure this is the tutorial stage. That's why it's seems more bare bone and linear. I'm really hoping that we get a lot more levels set in these locations that are long and intricate and feel like true Sonic levels.
Looking at other leaked gameplay of the levels, there are more paths hidden and discoverable throughout. Seeing that depth in the first stage is so damn promising.
In the interview with the director he stated that the Shadow campaign will not be as long as the original Generations campaign. Does that mean there will be less than the combined classic and modern 18 levels? Or less than the 9 modern levels? Don't know. Ideally would like 10 or more but the fact that one level is locked behind the Deluxe edition is a little concerning.
Since its name is simply "Space Colony ARK", it could simply mean it's just a new level in a long series of levels taking place on the ARK, with no particular reference to any previous ARK level. There's little to no reminder from previous level design element from past ARK level besides the setting. Besides, the level takes place inside and outside the ARK (minus Doom's Eye and that Radical Highway section), and uses a remix of Final Rush.
pretty sure that's a remix of Radical Highway's theme, "Vengeance is Mine", not Faker. But yeah, it's absolutely badass and I really hope they don't change it between now and full release

Not likely to be a change from age either. 90% of people go to him for Goku lines or something, but I have heard him use his Black Doom voice in recent years, and it's pretty much the same. Whoever's doing it here has a different vocal quality

I mean...atleast they didn't leave the Cyberspace's gameplay to stay like this and with the update 2 and adding that spindash it made the game specially the cyberspace like 10 times better and more fun turn it into one of the best part of the game game thank to the spindash like it's so fun to just go fast and speedrun those levels very fast with the spindash..i know shadow generations' level designs definitely slam cyberspace's level design but thanks to the spindash it's not sucks anymore 👍
Yes it's the Wii, but I think Time Break lags like that on purpose, considering the actual game doesn't and it loads insanely fast to keep up with Sonic's speed...
yes this is the reason why my boi shadow is my top favourite sonic character of all time. I already pre ordered both the ps5 and switch version of sonic x shadow generations and I'm going to enjoy it so much, because I'm a massive shadow the hedgehog fan.
If you look closely, shadow actually pushes the rubble from the missile head away before he teleports in front of the missile they went into detail with that 1:46 WAS THAT A FUCKING COUNTER ATTACK
The HUD is clearly hidden here, as chaos energy is being sent to an invisible meter at the bottom. Other than that, we can't tell how the game feels just by looking at it. So even though this looks and sounds cool, if it plays like garbage it's still garbage.
It's gonna be similar to how Frontiers worked and controlled since it uses the same engine but the level design looks more interesting to me and the Chaos powers are really cool

I miss the old Sonic Adventures that also had EXPLORATION in their levels. Also Sonic Heroes. It rewarded you for LEAVING the default route and did other things. Casino level I got highest score, because I stayed on the pinball stages for like an hour and farmed rings until I got 99 lives. In the first air flagship level I got highest score because I destroyed ALL the canons, even those that were outside of the default path. I miss those games. Today you only get high score for rushing into the goal. Only speed, no enjoying scenery nor exploring. In SA2(B) most gadgets that helped you playing and were also NECESSARY for progress were HIDDED in places you only find when you take your time to explore and try different routes.
He had it, he always had it. It's not that different from SA2. They just made some great animations and HD/4k textures for him. The big new thing is above all, these kinds of biomechanical arms that come out of his back.

I seriously hope this will be good. Honestly, shadows homing attack looks very frontiers-ish but it makes sense due to him teleporting and not dashing into them as a ball like sonic. For sonic it just felt gross. Either way, it seems like shadows section is still very Generations-esque so it'll likely be good, we're all praying for Sega.
The Shadow portion was exactly what I wanted in Frontiers. He even gets his own hub world in the style of Sonic Frontiers and a lot of the gameplay seems as if Shadow will adhere to that gameplay a smidge. All and all, the gameplay looks clean, and I can’t wait to see what Doom Powers Shadow gets. Seems like he should’ve had those a while ago but he’d probably be too broken of a character.
the boost being slower and more of a dash is nice, not sure how I feel about them bringing back his homing teleport from sonic 06, but as long as it's decently controllable shouldn't be an issue. the music... sounds more like that of the riders games than anything else not going to lie, also not sure why they're playing vengeance is mine (san fran) in what's probably meant to be westopolis
This looks absolutely awesome, not exactly what id want (cuz id want adventure type level design) but so much better than the 2,5 sludge we been getting, plus the Biolizard fight looks amazing

they most likely used the same format from the frontier levels to speed up the process. producers have an idea how many people will get this so devs budget is probably pretty slim to make a decent profit.
