okay that's the best thing I've heard/seen in a looong time on UA-cam! This is one of them "unknown" tracks off of Killer but was probably my favorite off the LP. Well, that's hard to say because Killer was just absolute gold every song. But, man, I loved this tune back then. And they did it sweet justice here. And thumbs up to Alice for bringing these young musicians in and having them learn great hard rock that is now 50+ yrs old. Man, I can't believe I just said that.
I saw the original Alice Cooper band at Manzanita Raceway in Phoenix in 73. Open festival seating, so we got there early to get center stage, about a row back. It was blankets and lawn chairs and an absolutely amazing show. They did this and then Ballad of Dwight Fry back to back and it was one of the best stage shows AnD music performances I've ever seen. This current band is tight to say the least but the orginal band was legendary. Rip Glen. You were one of the very best.
Best live version of this song I've heard in a long time. Another fav song, the album a Xmas present '72 was 13 at the time. Folks freaked when they saw the cover...LMAO Still a favorite at 65.
Drummers almost never get the chance for their Free Artistic Expression. Thanks for that Alice! his drummer was Always forefront to my ears, in his music.
Yes, there was progressive rock in '71! I can't imagine the rehearsals that they sweated through to kill this one. The blonde virtuoso is Nita Strauss; a perfect fit for Alice's theatrical style.
This is the second channel I listen to it playing Halo of flies and the volume is way too low for this old 69 or old who's listen to a lot of Alice Cooper.
OMG! What a great version of my favorite Alice Cooper band song off my favorite Alice Cooper album. And i have been a Coop fan since I was 9. Now they would have sent my to see a psychiatrist for singing macabre songs in school.
Wow, this is really cool stuff! I've been listening to this album since my older brother bought it when it first came out and this is my favorite song off of Killer!
Sheer class song… they took it off my local pubs jukebox..why I don,t know.. maybe too long for the zephotrons.. killer his best album ever.. all high school friends in the band
What I loved about Neil Smiths drumming was how he could showoff without seeming to showoff. This was good but I love the original group better and forever.
I know Alice is getting old and needs a rest sometime but that drum solo goes on a bit. Other than that it's a pretty good version almost as good as the original back in the seventies.
I've got the answers To all of your questions If you've got the money To pay me in gold I will be living In old Monte Carlo And you will be reading The secrets of soul Daggers and contacts And bright shiny limos I've got a watch That turns into a lifeboat Glimmering nightgowns Poisonous as cobras Silencer under the heel of my shoe The elegance of China They sent her to lie here on her back But as she deeply moves me She'd rather shoot me in my tracks And while a Middle Asian lady She really came as no surprise But I still did destroy her And I will smash Halo of flies I crossed the ocean Where no one could see And I put a time-bomb In your submarine Goodbye to old friends The secret's in hand With phonied up papers And counterfeit plans You never will understand
I can never tire of those old albums..... the rock star band do it no justice though they play it well.... no colour, no style, too much black, no originality to their sound, too many tattoo's..... and it's all rushed.....besides they look like washed out parodies of Izzy Stradlin', Joe Perry and a few other walking cliches.....
Oh please gimme Neal, Dennis, n Mike all that glitters isnt gold,Neal blows that drummer away, There is no better bassist than Denny and Michael wrote the songs C'mon, chick guitarists are a turn off, more tatoos!
So mister Cooper. You have a problem with transgenders.. too shocking for you? I was always your biggest fan, now you are banned !! Real love from Holland ❤
Amazing that this song from 1971 holds up so well in 2023
To me…. It is the best song ever written, the composition, the feel! Everything just fits!
@@ronaldraven5061my favorite ac song

First proper album I ever brought - Still love it and Halo is one of many stand out tracks

Holy Hell .... this is unreal.
Greatest rock and roll showman of all time. His concerts are out of this world!!
Beautiful - one of my favorite Coop tunes...
Drummers almost never get the chance for their Free Artistic Expression.
Thanks for that Alice!
his drummer was Always forefront to my ears, in his music.
Much more than a song...death, putrefaction and the glory of it. Pure Alice Cooper!!!
One of many reasons Killer is still my favorite album.
Masterpiece.......❤❤❤❤
Amazing performance 👏 🙌 ❤️ 👌
Love you Alice❤❤❤❤
Yes, there was progressive rock in '71! I can't imagine the rehearsals that they sweated through to kill this one. The blonde virtuoso is Nita Strauss; a perfect fit for Alice's theatrical style.

One of the best songs ever.
Wow Glen is a beast
C'est vraiment un morceau extraordinaire... Merci Alice
This is one of the classics that I wish one of the three guitarists played a keyboard as well.
10 minutes of fine art and poetry!
This is the second channel I listen to it playing Halo of flies and the volume is way too low for this old 69 or old who's listen to a lot of Alice Cooper.
Absolutely adorable
Not sure if adorable is what Alice was going for but sure!
OMG! What a great version of my favorite Alice Cooper band song off my favorite Alice Cooper album. And i have been a Coop fan since I was 9. Now they would have sent my to see a psychiatrist for singing macabre songs in school.

Classic song.
That's because it's rock and roll and it's that good 🎉
What I loved about Neil Smiths drumming was how he could showoff without seeming to showoff. This was good but I love the original group better and forever.
The original group was the best imho
OMG this made me cry
I feel like Alice in this video
Every time I hear this song.
Hard not to.
🧡🤡🛡⚔
wow
He knows how to pick good musicians😂
Love this song but if I ever hear another drum solo it will be too soon.
I know Alice is getting old and needs a rest sometime but that drum solo goes on a bit. Other than that it's a pretty good version almost as good as the original back in the seventies.
I've got the answers
To all of your questions
If you've got the money
To pay me in gold
I will be living
In old Monte Carlo
And you will be reading
The secrets of soul
Daggers and contacts
And bright shiny limos
I've got a watch
That turns into a lifeboat
Glimmering nightgowns
Poisonous as cobras
Silencer under the heel of my shoe
The elegance of China
They sent her to lie here on her back
But as she deeply moves me
She'd rather shoot me in my tracks
And while a Middle Asian lady
She really came as no surprise
But I still did destroy her
And I will smash
Halo of flies
I crossed the ocean
Where no one could see
And I put a time-bomb
In your submarine
Goodbye to old friends
The secret's in hand
With phonied up papers
And counterfeit plans
You never will understand
😘🎸❤❤😳🎵👍
I am gonna see if the cover band I'm in would like to do this. Not a dance tune but a " I can't believe I just saw that" tune.
