As someone who has only ever supported this ship “for the meme” I’m seeing more and more how the movie could have been made better with a plot line like this
It would not have been better since 99% of the people in the mario fandom (including me) will hate this.

@@EliaszekEN idk, if I were to more accurately judge this I'd more think about 58-76% (just randomly chosen numbers I see more accurately representing, I didn't ofc actually do the math and go out of my way to find EVERY single opinion from EVERY single Mario fan from EVERY part of the world to know this, you know- as I highly doubt you did too) hate bowigi vs the rest who love it.
This ship existed before the memes and the movie, it just wasn't popular until now, not due to a lack of loving it, but just bc it wasn't as mainstream as Mario x peach and Luigi x daisy was. I'm not even IN the Mario fandom and I know this. Your opinion isn't 99% of people
I understand you totally, but please don't get me wrong, i do like the implications that this ship brings to the table, like Luigi showing Bowser, what it's really love, it's very cute and wholesome
But I don't think, (if that's happened), that they would not end up as a couple, more like close friends? To me it's would start very slow, like a therapist and panciant relationship, (since at this point in time, they just meet), it would also be a good way to end the firm with a gap, for a second firm where Luigi being the main character this time, and in this firm they bond would grow, Bowser would probably think that Luigi is making him weak, but in the end, he would understand that his obsession, it's not healthy, they could even bring Bowser junior too, like showing how his father is neglecting him for someone that will never love him.
Sorry for the long text, and please guys, let's not fight over fictional characters?
I mean, yeah they are good characters, but that doesn't excuse anyone to have a fight in the internet.

God I love this iteration of bowigi. It’s pretty clear that Bowser doesn’t love Peach, he’s obsessed with her. He sees her as the thing that will ‘fix’ him. I think Bowser forging a connection with Luigi would make him realize the difference between obsession and real love

@@thomasgeorge69 yeah I always found that ridiculous where characters are behind a fence or gate were inside a cage and it's very clear that the bars are wide enough that they can escape but for some reason they just don't

I mean if you think about it Bowser has a pretty sad story (note: what I'm about to comment isn't in the movie, it's just game lore) so in Yoshi's Island and Partners in Time Kamek is shown taking care of Bowser when he was younger. Now I think is pretty obvious that Kamek isn't his real father. Bowser probably just wants someone to love him and the love from his minions isn't enough.
Wasn't bowser the last member of the royal koopa line before Jr? Of course, there were the koopalings, but I like to believe that he adopted them and made them commanders.
If bowser was the last royal koopa, his entire family line could be on the line, which probably means he thinks marriage is the key to restoring that.
Or not, I'm just fucking riffing here dude
@@terrorbillywilly7918 I believe yoshis island outright stated bowser was adopted himself because kamek "found him", I don't think he was the last of his bloodline, I think he's the first royal koopa. Kamek just sort of found him and declared him king in partners in time
AHHH the voices are so good!!! Im glad we’re getting more dubs with these two. Also as a small criticism, i think adding more, small, sound effects would really elevate this!! Like some clanging metal when bowser grips the cage, or a thump sound when luigi falls back! Just a minor critique tho :]

Hi love your channel. I like how you portray Luigi as being sympathetic to Daddy Bowser (Make what you will with that last line I said what I said). We need more shows or comics with humans and monsters trying to understand and learn from one another

Missed opportunity to have Bowser call Luigi “green stache” in reference to the M&L games. Any who, great animatic in touching more of the soft side of Bowser
Dude this didn't even have to be bowigi I would just love to see this as a subplot! Like it's nice to see someone calling out another character on something not with a clap-back but with kindness, and to see that character stop for a second and reflect. Even when there is no immediate change in behavior, it sets the scene for character growth and change. Spoilers ahead.
For example Zuko joining the avatar in ATLA. He shows a moment of hesitation when Aang asks if they could be friends if the world was different. And when Zuko still lashed out, he also stopped for a moment before and after and his expression tells you that he wonders the same.
Bowser has an obsession, it isn’t love. And that isn’t healthy at all….He needs to learn the difference between love and obsession to realize the princess just won’t fix everything

i'm normally not big into shipping characters with very few exceptions mostly involving "players and the vassals that interact with the characters on behalf of the players"
so things like player[kris] x ralsei for example but not actually kris x ralsei, since in this instance kris would be our mouth piece.

I used to think a lot like that when i was younger, he needs to grow more and having luigi be his friend or even something more would be beneficial for his growth mentally.
but as it stands they need a lot of development before that can happen and it can take years or even decades before a person can find the growth needed to be comfortable with who they are.
Bowser always being angry makes he sad.
It makes me feel bad but Idk for what, maybe because he's always seen as this evil villain who cares about no one but his own ideals...Which sometimes he is but sometimes he's nicer than that.
I like the dynamic between them it needs to be explore in a television series. I haven't seen the movie yet, I want to, but how fans create something from an idea is fantastic.
I liked that Luigi is captured first instead of princess peach in the trailer. It's pretty much an origin story how the Mario Brothers got to the mushroom kingdom because in the trailer they are from our world, and they enter a pipe to the mushroom kingdom.
I like that Luigi is kind to Bowser even though he is caged against he will and tries to understand bowser.
Which I could believe that's Luigi personality right there.
I think it would sick if Bowser and Luigi become best friends later on if there is a television series...
not right way, but perhaps it would interesting if they choice to into this route and at the end Bowser becomes alliances to the Mario brother.
We thought is over another season seeing them driving cars and racing each other than a new baddy came into the series.
That beat the snot out of them including Bowser and Bowser tries to protect the Mario Brothers than dies or injured badly.

I wonder why the movie couldn’t have gone with something, at least similar to this. This plot line would show something we’ve never seen in Bowser before, give Luigi more screen time, and it would make a lot of people with Bowser or Luigi as their favorite character

Honestly while watching the movie, and I know it wouldn't have fit his character too well but, I was kinda hoping Bowser would've had some sort of redemption arc, or at least indicate that his big bad self is closer to a façade than what he really is. I know the whole _point_ of him is to be the bad guy, but we've seen game after game (beside that one moment he had with his son) him be the villain with nothing deeper to it And there doesn't need to be anything more to it. But I love it when villains are more than just the antagonist, that they can be redeemed or at least face conflict in their morals and emotions. I think Bowser really did seek love from Peach, but he's likely had absolutely no direction on what a healthy relationship looks like, let alone what "no" means, hence it spiralled out into an intense obsession over someone who has made it very clear she doesn't reciprocate.
Luigi, "Okay, good talk. If you need my help again, I am all ears. I will be here for you hanging around. Get it haha. Okay, I will shut up."

I think that Bowser does _indeed_ love Peach; however, he doesn't know what to do about it, as he's lived a life where he's gotten everything through either privilege--as he's King and one of the Star Children--or by force. Because he hasn't learned any other way, his plan A involves nonsense like burrowing his castle under hers and levitating both of them into the sky, or stealing power stars with the intent on creating an entire Universe just for him and Peach.

This scene would have worked in the movie before the part where Bowser was practicing trying to be smooth and it ends up being similar to this heart to heart talk, except Luigi tries to escape only to be immediately caught and then put into another cage.

Luigi is officially bowser’s therapist.
Also people are saying he could escape easily, correct me if I am wrong, but there's still lava at the bottom and he probably doesn't know how to climb it. Even if he did climb it, it's shown in the movie that there's nowhere for anybody to escape too. Yes, he could have left the cage easily, but there's nowhere for him to run off too as there's a dead end on the top with just a ceiling and the lava on the bottom (I can't explain things well so I hope this made sense)

Funny thing being called Greenie.
In the navy we use these scrubs affectionately called Greenie Weenies, that are named for their color.
We use them for scrubbing vertigrae off brass and copper such as certain pipes and fire nozzles.
In other words, the Greenie helps clean the mold and rot from the pipes. Not a bad nickname for a plumber.
1 month later Bowser signed up for Bad-Anon where he met many good bad guy friends sharing his struggles, like:

and some poor fellow celebrating his 30th video game anniversary, Ralph.

Just when I thought I had finally escaped it, you pull me back in.
This can go either way but at least I hope Bowser at least tries with peach the right way either he does legit like her or he finds out his obsession has blighted him for so long.
Don't get me wrong him confiding in Luigi can go a lot of different ways but them being good friends that actually help each other out especially in the confidence department they both could work with each other and maybe something will come out of that.

THAT,is the bowigi I like,not a deep couple where they have crushes for each other(no, gross, yucky).
In my honest opinion the ship doesn't make sense in general. Like it was never hinted that there was any romantic chemistry between the two in any of the game's lore. It's just weird to me too. But in the end the people will fantasize what they like. It's just nice to see someone who thinks reasonably too.
