Some great ideas here. I am a big fan of the Topeak Ratchet set and the knipex pliers. Living in the UK we can't carry most of the leatherman tools. As well as them being expensive here in Europe. I am interested that you EDC the Swiss champ - I find that the Midnite Manager covers most of my daily needs with an emergency pen and torch as well!!

I love this video, really interesting and a great set up. Makes me wish I'd bought a larger Maxpedition pouch, as mine are all smaller and seem to get overfilled really easily! You have a great presenting style too and very high quality videography.

Some nice choices there. I always waver between a dedicated power bank and just having a flashlight like the Wuben C2 that also acts as a power bank in emergencies to save space. More battery is definitely nice and relying on 1 5,000mAh battery for both charging a bit of phone AND as your light feels risky.

Great video. I couldn’t imagine lining in a county where I couldn’t have a gun, let alone a leatherman! Appreciate and fight for your freedoms Americans.

Well, to give a different perspective, we do have way less chance of being murdered here in Europe! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate

@@hoot7588 agreed. So I will say this, you have traded your freedoms for the false sense of security. I have no problem with that, I as a lot of Americans prefer more dangerous freedoms. I see no issue with that. There are plenty of other statistics we can bring up regarding your murder, rape and attack rate there, unfortunately, you have had to take away all your freedoms as opposed to addressing the problem head on, which is a cultural shift. What has changed? I ask thr same regarding my society, what has changed.? We have always had knives and guns, just as many Per capita. Our cultures have been infiltrated. I know these are uncomfortable truths, but they have been. And the sad part is the elites and the oligarchs take advantage of it by taking away your freedoms apologies I’ve ran off on a tangent, we’re just here for the EDC. Cheers brother, always appreciate your input.

I don’t know why so many Americans think that Europeans are not allowed to own guns. In most European countries we are allowed to own guns, however there are restrictions per country. As for not being allowed to carry a leatherman tool, I don’t know where he got that information from but that seems highly unlikely. The blades are not long enough to be considered illegal and it is also a working tool. As for our rights, the west is getting worse and worse isn’t it.
Hope for peace, but prepare for ….
      Stay strong.

Restriction on Leatherman is because some countries have restrictions on blades that lock and this includes Leathermans

Yes, I do feel that this pouch is too big and heavy! I would downgrade following: the torch with a Rovyvon (A3 with USB-C); battery bank with an Anker Nano Powerbank; charger with an Anker Nano 3; sharpener is not supposed to be needed; Swisschamp to be replaced by the Explorer, and Sharpie with a minisharpie. I would add an Anker 323 12 V for the car, zipties, a fresnel lens. However, you have a good choice of equipment, which I mostly like too! Thanks for sharing!

The Anker nano 10000mah with the built usb c would be handy and save carrying a separate usb c cable.
Sharpie to mini sharpie is pointless and mini sharpies are so much harder to get ahold of.
The explorer obviously doesn’t have the saw, file or pliers. I’d suggest the Handyman instead.

Looks very versatile, but I would opt for a more minimal flashlight and knife.

I would include a pair of extra pants and undies in the backpack. Accidents happen. Especially with an upset stomach, which I tend to have a lot, due to a chronical illness. But overall, the EDC is pretty much well thought out.

Was that the Able Carry Daily?

  • @MichaelB2L

The idea of one pouch, easily transferable from bag to bag is great. I do the same with a Helikon Tex SERE pouch, which is essentially a bumbag so I can just grab that when I don’t need a larger bag.
That powerbank looks huge for 10000mah . I have 20000mah ones from Anker that look smaller.
I’m considering swapping out my Victorinox ranger for the handyman just for the pliers. I’ve recently found myself needing a small pair of pliers quite often.

That Heat It mosquito bite relief product is genius. Never seen it before. Is it better than a Piezo-electric clicker?

Fun fact, just came back from uganda where englush style wallplugs are used. Everybody there uses european plugs. All you need to do is open the ground slot and a european plug wil fit 😊

Good video and a nice EDC kit. I may or may not steal some ideas :) In case you're not comfortable the size of your Olight or it somehow dies on you, you can give the Skilhunt M300 a try. It's a better alternative in many aspects - weight, size, LED choice (you can go for high CRI, if you want to), no proprietary battery.
