I'm flying back to Canada the day after tomorrow, with Air Canada from Zurich to Toronto. After spending 5 weeks of my summer holidays in Switzerland with relatives
That's a very unusual track north to UK. I have some suggestions for economy if you can't upgrade. 1) Take a hoodie, or towel to use as lumbar support 2) eyemask - this is no. 1 really - if you block out the ambient light it's amazing how much better your quality of rest gets and 3) Don't drink! Ok, maybe one. But no more. Happy flying.
Flew businesses on this flight not long ago, great experience, (aside from the chaos at arrivals, but that doesn't come as a surprise since it's Heathrow lol).
Thanks for creating a really thorough flight review! I'm flying this route next week, same airline, aircraft, cabin, and even flight number (AC858), and am already looking forward to it :). Hopefully it won't be delayed though 😅
Great report. However, after flying BA from YYZ to LHR earlier this year, I much prefer Flying with BA on this route. Much better food and generous seating option on economy.
Had the same flight. The delay is unacceptable esp with connections at Heathrow. Good you had a detailed view up to the gate. I found the seats on the 777-300ER quite comfortable. Nice video. Our flight had a go around. Unfortunately, no window seat and missed that wonderful flyover the City of London on our next attempt to land.
I went from YYZ to LHR on an Air Canada A330 in June 2022 and that footage of the terminal brings back memories (last time I travelled in June 2023 we were in terminal 3 the old one) and our flight was delayed 3 hours 30 minutes from 8:30 pm to midnight. We didn’t get seats so we had to sit on the floor and for half an hour there was an alarm going off.
@@Nanfeii No, No!..I’m sure he means, São Paulo, would be a very good thing! 👍🏼 It’s Canada after all! Imagine if you will; ⛄️& ☔️ vs 🌞? = 🤷🏼♀️ (no brainer…) …✌🏼🇨🇦
Very thorough trip report. What happened to the pre dinner drink service? At least AC is unique. The only airline I know of that does not have a pre dinner beverage service, including the low cost carriers. Pretty uncivilized, and no excuse given the more than 7 hrs flight time.
@@WillAviation Unfortunately they did not. This has been a really, really annoying policy even on overseas flights for years and years. Last time for me was on a flight from Dublin to Toronto, back in 2006. And Toronto to Amsterdam same year. I don't travel a lot, and when I do it's a big deal for me. I am not an alcoholic. But it would be really nice to have a pre dinner cocktail, just as most civilized airlines let you do. Perhaps AC just assumes everyone is an alcoholic? Actually it is so typical of the provincial laws in Canada. Just unacceptable for a full service carrier. Every trip report I have seen recently verifies that AC still does this. What a shame!
Just a bit of constructive criticism. On trip reports, actually on almost any youtube video, never use music or timelapse. Never try to be stylish. It doesn't work and just subtracts. Just show the raw experience. That is what the viewer is looking for. Looking forward to your next video.

10:38 - Love that hydraulic sound :)))
I remember flying on an Air Canada Boeing 777300ER from Toronto to Shanghai, it was a nice experience, friendly crew, nice food, nice flight.

Thanks! Enjoy your flight!
Always eat before your flight
And always stay hydrated during, made my experience less stressful and overall helped

Agreed, though its been a while since I've flown BA on this route!
@@WillAviation That sweetcorn salad is just awful, they seem to serve it all the time,
I love flying and honesty I have missed it SO much since COVID-19 started... I used to fly every year to Europe but now I can’t.
It helps me a lot, thank you!
Taking this exact same flight this summer
Sorry it was cancelled
Ha Za Yeah ik, it sucks

Beautiful t/r! Except for the baggage issue, I quite enjoyed every moment. - Red
Awesome trip report

Woah imagine stepping into a plane and landing in Sao Paolo instead of London
I live in Sao Paolo

Hey Will! Nice video! I will be going to Paris which means I will pass the UK.
Enjoy!
Good, informative vlog of your trip, bit of a pain though the delay and loss of luggage🙀
I was in this flight at November 05 2029 . Oh miss it
2019*
Losing your bags is normal for Air Canada. It happened to me in Jamaica.
My suitcase came with missing wheels when I was at baggage claim at YYZ
@@MaulinAgrawal1217 Thats rough I must admit lol
Nice trip report sir
Thanks!
4:45 i remember one time we got too early for the flight and i was sitting there for a few hours in the middle of the night haha
Im watching this video since I plan to go to London and Paris next year. Hope This virus is behind by then
I miss full flights (can't believe I'm saying that).
4:54 is that picture blurred or a texture?
I think it’s a texture

Always pack a change of clothes in your carry on bag! I do just incase my suitcase is lost!!!!

I wonder if they skipped it because of the delayed departure, so they wanted to get straight into dinner service? Not sure though, good observation!

✈🇨🇦air Canada
Lots of work for the FA's on these big planes. Tell AC to hire more staff then if you're not satisfied!!
7:17 I do not understand what the flight attendant is saying. :(
7 hour flight YYZ to LHR 🇨🇦to 🇬🇧🛫
Hey
Jaweria Api
Food looks rank and the 777 in question is a grubby old bus.
On wall
The food is so bad... this greedy airline needs to learn from those airlines in asia and serve some real food for economy customers.
The how many money I tink 4 lakhs am I write
The Business class cabin looks very cold and soulless. Pretty much like Pearson airport. There is no warmth.
Rich people aren't warm......
I found the cabin crew are always rude and not very helpful
The onboard experience is terrible.
OMG air canada is sooooo shity! lol
this is an old video
