    Molly,
    Those colors are lovely. Peacock colors are so vibrant. Your colander pours are so fun. You are cheerful and that is so easy to watch.
    You are very talented. Thank you for sharing your art and teaching us , and inspiring us to step out of the same-old-same-old stuff.

    Hey Molly, beautiful color choices! Just a little heads up for liquitex medium. I love it and use it all the time, and it is heavier than most pouring mediums. You can thin a bit with water (which may give you cells but not always which is why I use it) but if you stretch your painting uniformly, each direction a little at a time, instead of one direction all at once, liquitex will hold the design beautifully. It's a great great product, so please don't give up on it, you won't be disappointed

    • @MOLLYSARTISTRY
      @MOLLYSARTISTRY  5 років тому +1

      Hi! Are you talking about liquitex pouring medium or gloss medium and varnish? I do like liqutex I have used it for years I totally agree! The creative inspirations gloss medium is quite thick. I agree the one factor was the tilting in these, but even so, creative inspirations holds this specific design I do much better just in my opinion. I will never discount liquitex though, I love their products! Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated!

    Both are beautiful pours. They are both successful in their own way. However, for a colander pour, I would have to stick with the Creative Inspirations. Your colander pours are superior I so feel certain the products you used determined the out come of the designs in each painting.

  • @mungkeygp5214
    @mungkeygp5214 4 роки тому +1

    Beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder. Both turned out beautifully. If a colander pour is considered an abstract and you normally use the Creative Inspiration, then I'd say the Liquitex was an abstract of an abstract.
    I'm personally not a big fan of colander pours. They are neat but I wouldn't hang one on my walls (eye of the beholder). That said, the Liquitex pour being more abstract I'd hang that on my walls 🙃

    I love these!!! Please don't be hard on yourself....I totally get that you have a design in mind and when it doesn't turn out the way you hoped for it can be disappointing...especially when you have so much experience and have worked so hard to hone your craft. I would completely be the same way and hope to achieve great results once I get started (I'm collecting paint, tools, canvases, etc) You and Rinske have inspired me enormously and I cannot wait to start pouring!
    I am a trained decorator/painter for home interiors. One thing I have learned is that most of the world can only see what we create for them. They choose what we already envision and go for it or reject it once it's done. There is only so much beauty you can communicate until it's on the canvas so to speak.
    Creating art is similar perhaps? Putting amazing colours together and having them flow together to create beautiful pieces that anyone would love to have in their home if they have any sense at all isn't that different I think.
    The way you combine colour and look for it to be reflected back to you sets you apart. I love that you want to make your paintings even more captivating. Never apologize for that! Brilliant work Molly! Much love from Canada. :D

    Love the centers and colours going to try for myself. Can’t remember who but they stretched to corners first each time back to center without going over anywhere at first. And use a flow extender complimentary colour around pour so design doesn’t roll over itself and use an edge catcher for corners to keep design. Always returning to center after each move. Then the sides stretched not going over & back to center still in round shape and have negative corners and slightly on edges. I tried it looked better than my previous ones. Looks like a colander pour. Love all your art you are beautiful and helpful. Thank you for the time spent editing and posting.

When I watching you pour the liquitex painting I seen a lot of globs fall from the cup. Did it make the painting messy? I heard you say it looked messy. I think you should do another one with liquitex. It's beautiful, both paintings. Globs or no globs. I have learned so much from you. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to your art.

      Thanks! The blobs actually didnt come out in the painting at all. So I don't know what happened there. I did multiple tries with the liquitex in different ratios. None turned out, blobs or not. Still gorgeous paintings, just not with the design I normally get. Now I have 6 paintings in the same color scheme!😂😂😂
