Just wana say Jon you’re smashing out the content lately! Brilliant work!
I use hydra wax on a wet car. I apply the wax to a MF cloth and dry the car as I go, wringing the cloth and adding new wax as I go. Then buff it it all off at the end. Dead easy to use.
Fantastic vid as per usual dude I haven't got a clue when It comes to detailing but i learn every time i watch your vids thank you big time 👌🙏😊😇
Quickest I’ve ever clicked on a UA-cam notification, been hoping you would do this one day. I tried this as an alternative to DSW and I’ve found performance similar but a doddle to apply so great if you like to apply more frequently than might be absolutely necessary. Here in Cyprus just had one of the worst winters in years, dust, rain, hail, snow, mud, the works and it has lasted well. BH strongly recommend use of Cleanser prior to use for best durability.
Just used a combo of meguires ultimate compound, autoglym super resin polish, and bilt hamber double speed wax. Pretty impressive results! Thank you forensics for the reviews.
yeah this is a godly, no fuss combo, id maybe swap the wax for soft99, and thats only gloss preference for a black car tbh.
Haven’t used this stuff for a while but used to top Finis Wax with it. I used to put a spray head on it which made it super quick to apply. Gave a lovely gloss and great beading.
This has been my go to wax for machine application for a few years… easy to apply and easier to buff if you don’t let it flash off for quite as long. I put if over the their Micro Fine product…. It gives a great shine, is fantastic at beading water and lasts me 4 to 6 months between applications.
The only small point I'd have to disagree on is that I find Collinite 845 definitely is a very hydrophobic wax, it beads really well for me and was one of the things I was looking for from a wax! The same as what you observed from hydrawax really! I draw many similarities with them both tbh, could see myself interchanging between them for a very similar experience.
I have always found BH to perform well and the prices are sensible
Great vid thanks Jon, I may grab myself some of this (I like trying new products but have way too many 😀) although I do really like DSW I've had some issues with 'blooming in the past' M4 looks fab.
I too have way too many products. So you are not alone 😅
I've used EPG for years as my go to for a quick wax but my biggest criticism is that it is very thin and difficult to see on the applicator and on the panel. The bilt hamber looks thicker so I'll give it try when my current bottle of EPG runs out.
Why not do a test of all the BH waxes?
Apparently Finis wax is easier to buff off, lasts just as long if not more and is just as good at repelling water.
@@kwl189 I have both. Finis is alot easier to use and buff, it also gives a superior gloss (to my eyes atleast) compared to DSW. However DSW is alot more hydrophobic and I would say more durable.
@@RabW70 aha thanks for confirming. I saw a review which said Finis had the same hydrophobic properties as DSW but lasted longer so was a little more high quality wax but for a lot more money.
What microfibre clothes are you using in the video mate? They look like they do a great job
John!!! Still waiting for you to do a glass cleaner comparison products, if I’ve missed any of your videos on glass, please accept my apologies and please tell me what video it was. Thanks John great content and great education and knowledge on detailing 👍🏼👍🏼
I need this as well. I need to restore my glass this summer as it’s so bad with water marks and stains.
@@kwl189 Angelwax Vision and H2Go are all I use. Good clarity and water repellency is fantastic.
@@arebrec They sound good. Have you, by any chance, used the glaco stick that John swears by? Think he has previously done a video where he has washed, clayed a section of glass and then used a sealant like those you’ve listen in your comment or this glaco stick to seal the finish or something.
Always great when bilt hamber release a new product. I've been using their touch on sealant but it doesn't seem to work unless you rinse it off not pressure wash it
Not new mate, been out for over ten years.
With touch on, use it in a snow foam canon. It’ll be way more effective for around 4 to 5 weeks over putting it into a bucket of water and trying to apply it with a wash mitt.
Great video as always, love the black peril it’s stunning 😍 🔥🔥
those scholl pads look incredible, im gonna order some for my pxe80 now!
Another fantastic video, thanks John, your the man!
Think the Surfex HD needed a wipe off
Hi Jon, for a person who washes their car once a month which wax is the preferred choice for ease of use and durability? Hydra Wax or Double Speed Wax - to be applied by hand.
Eou hydra durability ds
Jon i struggled to tell the difference initially
be interested to see how this stacks against Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Car Wax
I like it which is why I asked you about it some time ago
Thanks for the vid John 👌🏻
Jon how is the hydrophobics compared to an entry level type coating such as Can Coat?
its top drawer beading, but the durability of the hydra wax is down on modern products like can coat. Hydro wax is a bit like EGP or colly 845. its fair to say i dont use it but I love the brand enough to keep it.
Can you make a video on TFR’s and whether their safe to use on cars and potentially a comparison?
Brilliant vid keep them coming 😎
Bilt hamber is one of my top brands for cleaning. When it comes to protection ill stick to turtle wax and fusso.
No one ever starts testing new products on paint that's hammered. I'm sure you've got an old panel that's been beat to death. Give it a go.
Would this be ok to use on a brand new car after a normal wash or would the paint need some kind of prep first of all? Car is only leased so not looking to ceramic coat or anything just some basic protection and make it easier to clean.
Thank You 😁👍🏼
Hello There, trying this Bilt Hamber product for the fist time last summer.
It takes some shake-up & can benefit from warming in hot water on those cool days.
Overall another Great product to use on motorcycle frame, mag-wheels. Where the DoubleSpeed tends to cling on these difficult to reach parts i.e. hubs behind discs, back of frame tubes etc.
Enjoy the channel Jon...
Thank you for introducing to the Bilt Hamber range a few years ago.
Take a look at GarageNumber 17

What are the grey micro fibre cloths John please 🤔
Stick with DS, £10 extra for nothing really imo
Hi boss!
Can I ask where you bought the shelf you have your microfiber cloths in, or what kind of brand it is. Thank you for good videos :O)
B and q mate 4 draw units 11 quid
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you :)
Does your detail course explain and teach how to do your own ceramic detail. Thanks
No see how to apply ceramic coating video on the channel
Hi Jon great video how would you say this compares to autoglym hd wax
Best compared to ego m8
@@ForensicDetailing forgive my ignorance not sure what you meant mate
Jon could you do a video on removing orange peel?
Don't attempt it Dave without pravtis7ng in test panel
@@ForensicDetailing so get an old panel from somewhere and practice on that first?
Hi Jon, What microfiber spec did you use for buffing in this video?
350 GSM edgeless dual pile
I see you Jon making fun of our American ounces😆
Hi John what make are your cordless polishers please. Thanks
Flex xce mate
I remember the first time I waxed my car with my das6,
I’ve never done it by hand since 😂 SO easy
Same. Colonite 845 all the way
Can you wax let’s say soft99 fusso with a da?
@@piovo5222 sure no reason why not
@@piovo5222 possibly, although you might find you’ll waste a lot of product and you won’t get good coverage. You’re better off with a wax that’s more liquid.
@@samwilde595 don’t think I’ll ever use any other wax apart from this soft99 fusso, that and some qd goes a long way
Could you not fit a 3" pad into the double speed wax tub to apply it using a machine? Would it be worthwhile applying like that? Apologies I don't know the size of the tub.
U could yer
Thanks Jon, not tried hydra wax yet, might be nice as a top up.
Double speed wax for me, it's a bit draggy to apply, and can be hard work to buff if you put too much on, but it lasts ages, it's very hydraphobic, and it's cheap !
Oh Boy this is $65 Canadian dollars
Hi, any chance of a review on infinity wax turbo 6 ?
just ordered some
Great vid as usual, in fact loved how everything was goin on, dropping stuff etc. But do not watch in bare feet.......I think I jumped about 4 times already.
Not going to even watch the review, it has to be good it’s BH!
As long as it's Hydragood and not like the Indian city.
Can you use the bilt hamber double speed wax with a DA aswel?
Yes but it's a bit thick
Nice video John, but on thus product I'm not overly convinced, bilt hamber do make good products generally, but sadly I didn't get on with much of it,so back to trusted old Turtle wax,it just allows you to get on with the job with feeling like, have I mixed it right, did I use too much etc, this recent wax you got here gets an ok mark for me,but my flex wax I can say probably will have more usage based on flex ability, plus their packaging does more for the eye than bilt hamber...
Hi do they ship there products to the USA?
theres a US distributor
Really like this stuff, been using it as, what I call, a topper wax. Use it either as pre show/cars n coffee top up and/or final layer on top long term sealant.
Those Bilthamber crew know there stuff 😁
Jon your'E having a Peter Sellers moment with your dead batteries. Nevertheless I’ve learned a lot from you mate👌
@15:33 anyone else tilt their head ?
