Hello from Southern California! The storms aren't as bad as the media makes them out to be. Sure there is flooding in low lying areas & houses are sliding off their foundations. That's par for the course. I just watched a cool documentary about your region. It was actually about fake foods & how the U.S corporations mislead consumers into believing that their products are authentic. Parmigiano Cheese is one of the products that sold here that is not authentic. It's not even cheese at all. Chemicals mixed to duplicate the real thing & some crafty labeling.

Ah yes building your house on very thin layers of mud and sandstone what a great idea. And don't bother to proactively stabilize the hill you knew was at risk either because we just want this to happen. It never ceases to amaze me how people don't plan.
This is something civil and structural engineers should be doing with city planners.

Looking at the weather radar the past few days the atmospheric "river" seems to have hit further north - LA and Ventura Counties. Clearly no bad news to report in San Diego so for the liberal media than means no news at all.
Its made it to me a couple states east and its only just begun, my bones hurt.

I live in Hollywood and we haven’t gotten more than a sprinkle throughout the last few days. I empathize with those in the hills and near the LA River.
That's funny because I live in the IE. Same here with the sprinkles, but when I look at the weather radar it looks like LA and Ventura County are being pounded with yellow and red rainfall indicators. Maybe just the flat lands.

I have to say that I was watching the storm at work. For me since I live in the valley. The storm was not as bad as I thought it would be. I can see how other places had it worst. The radar on my phone showed most of California cover with rain all through the night. May GOD bless you and watch over you, in JESUS name. Amen.
